Chapter 44 You care about me so much!

"knew."

Xiao Chen looked at Wen Jing: "Sister, aren't you going in?"

Wen Jing waved her hand. "I still have a lot of messy things to deal with. I have to go back to the set to seek justice. Xiao Chen, you stay here and wait for me to come back."

"knew."

Xiao Chen took Song Shengsheng's arm as they walked towards the ward, saying, "Don't be offended, sister-in-law. Sister Wenjing's words are not very pleasant to the ears and are very direct, but she is a very good person. As the saying goes, she is tough on the outside but soft on the inside."

"Well, I quite like her. I feel relieved that Jiang Yiyu has her help."

The two of them chatted and laughed as they pushed open the door of Jiang Yiyu's single room.

Xiao Chen stood at the door and whispered, "Sister-in-law, I'm right outside. Call me if you need anything!"

"good."

Song Shengsheng walked in and looked at Jiang Yiyu lying on the hospital bed, looking at him with grievance, and suddenly his eyes were sore.

Jiang Yiyu extended his hand to her and whispered to her, "Be good."

She stepped forward, held his hand, and sat down on the stool beside the bed: "Does it hurt?"

Jiang Yiyu nodded: "It hurts, but now that I see you, everything is fine."

Song Shengsheng glanced at his leg in plaster and said, "Such a big thing happened, but they didn't even inform me. If I hadn't seen the news, I'm afraid I would still be in the dark."

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I didn't want to make you worry, and it happened so suddenly that I really didn't have time."

"Jiang Yiyu, don't keep telling me nothing next time. If you only tell me the good news and not the bad news, I will be angry."

"I was wrong." Jiang Yiyu squeezed her hand and said, "Are you tired of rushing here in such a hurry?"

Song Shengsheng sighed: "It takes four hours to get from school to South City. Do you think you are tired?"

"Four hours? Darling, you must have teleported here, right?" Jiang Yi Yu said with a smile.

"If I could teleport, I'd be able to get these things done in half an hour."

"You care about me so much."

"What else? I'm your wife!"

Jiang Yiyu smiled triumphantly. He pulled Song Shengsheng towards him and said, "If my wife could kiss me, everything would be fine."

Song Shengsheng laughed and said, "You have injured your bones and tendons. Medication alone won't cure it."

"It's all the same, just kiss me."

Song Shengsheng stood up hesitantly, bent down and kissed him on the forehead. She looked at Jiang Yiyu, who was looking at her with a pair of bright peach blossom eyes, and said to her in a low voice with some grievance: "I haven't seen you for a long time."

"It's only been over half a month."

"More than half a month is a long time! It can be considered a blessing in disguise. I injured my leg but got to see my wife."

Song Shengsheng pinched his nose in a feigned anger, "What's there to be thankful for in such a thing! Even if you didn't hurt your leg, I would still come to see you tomorrow as agreed. Now, I'm not here to see you, but to take care of a patient. Jiang Yiyu, I've never taken care of a patient in my life."

Jiang Yiyu held her wrist, put it to his lips and kissed it: "Just right, use me to practice."

"It's better not to practice this kind of hand."

"Wife."

"Um?"

"Are you angry?"

"Yeah." Song Shengsheng looked down at him. "You scared me to death. When I opened the news, I saw you being taken to the ambulance. Have you ever experienced that feeling of your heart suddenly being in your throat?"

"Of course I did." Jiang Yiyu paused. "When my mother fell ill, and when she had her last surgery... and never woke up again."

Song Shengsheng fell silent. She sat back on the stool and looked at him quietly.

Jiang Yiyu didn't speak again.

The entire ward was filled with the sound of footsteps in the corridor and the sound of dripping water from the unfastened faucet in the bathroom.

The ticking sound increased Song Shengsheng's inner tension. She didn't know what to say to comfort Jiang Yiyu.

After a long moment, Jiang Yiyu smiled indifferently: "Does Song Ming know that I'm injured?"

"I know. He told me which hospital you were in. Jiang Yiyu, I'm your wife. I don't know as much about you as my brother does. So, did you marry me because you love me or because you love my brother?"

Jiang Yiyu was amused by her: "Song Ming is so ugly, I don't like him!"

"We look alike. If you say he's ugly, does that mean you think I'm not good-looking either?"

"No, my dear is a fairy in the sky."

Song Shengsheng smiled and turned to look at his leg in plaster. "Stop joking. Let me ask you, besides your leg injury, do you feel any other discomfort?"

Jiang Yiyu pretended to think for a moment, then nodded solemnly: "Yes, it is."

"Where? Why didn't you tell the doctor just now?!"

"The doctor can't cure it."

As soon as he said this, Song Shengsheng knew he was about to say some disgusting nonsense again, but she still cooperated and asked again: "What disease? Even doctors can't cure it."

"I'm in love with my wife. I've been sick for a long time and I'm incurable. You're my only remedy. Oh dear, tell me how the doctor can treat me."

Song Shengsheng looked at him helplessly with a smile: "Brother Yi Yu, you really have no manners at all, and you are getting more and more exaggerated."

"This is my true self, dear, do you regret liking me?"

"Yeah, I regret it."

Jiang Yiyu exaggeratedly covered his chest, frowning and acting out an unbearable heartache: "My dear, my heart hurts so much, it seems to be dying, please find a way to save me!"

Song Shengsheng crossed his arms and watched him perform with a smile: "How do you say we should save him?"
