Chapter 46 Don’t worry about me

"You can't be serious for a moment, and you've started to talk nonsense again." Song Shengsheng saw that his face was a little red, so she reached out and touched his forehead with the back of her hand: "You seem to have a fever, I'll go find a nurse."

"Let Xiao Chen and the others go. Don't leave me." Jiang Yiyu held her wrist and pulled it down to cover his cheek. He tilted his head and gently rubbed her palm, and softened his voice with a hint of pleading: "Good girl, I don't want to be alone."

"I'll go talk to them at the door and be back soon."

"No." Jiang Yiyu held her hand tightly again. Tears welled up in his peach blossom eyes, which were said to be full of affection. Coupled with his slightly red cheeks, it perfectly interpreted the feeling of being sick and broken.

"So what do you say we should do?"

Jiang Yiyu lowered his eyes and glanced at the phone she was holding: "Call Xiao Chen."

Song Shengsheng sighed: "Okay, I'll make a call, you let me go first."

Jiang Yiyu did not move.

"I'll just sit here and not go anywhere." Song Shengsheng moved her wrist, which he was holding, and tentatively bent her fingers: "Be good and listen."

Jiang Yiyu looked at her for a while, then slowly let go of her hand.

He stared at Song Shengsheng without blinking, watching her dial the number for Xiao Chen.

After a while, Xiao Chen came in with a nurse. The nurse took Jiang Yiyu's temperature and said that he had a low fever, but it was normal. Don't be nervous and just get some rest.

After sending the nurse away, Xiao Chen asked Song Shengsheng if he wanted to have a midnight snack together. Song Shengsheng glanced at Jiang Yiyu, who had just taken the medicine and closed his eyes, shook his head, and whispered, "No, there's nothing wrong with him. You can go back to the hotel and rest after you finish eating. Just come early tomorrow morning."

Xiao Chen held onto the handrail at the end of the bed and glanced out the door. "Sister-in-law, how about this? I'll stay with you and leave a bodyguard. That way we can feel more at ease."

"Okay, let the others go back."

Xiao Chen nodded, turned and left the ward.

"Good boy..."

"What's wrong?" Song Shengsheng walked back to the bed and tucked the corner of the quilt for him: "Are you feeling uncomfortable?"

Jiang Yiyu opened his eyes and looked at her: "You should go back and rest too."

Song Shengsheng touched his forehead: "I won't leave, I promised to stay with you. Don't worry so much, go to sleep."

Jiang Yiyu was hesitant to speak, full of guilt. Song Shengsheng gently covered his eyes: "Be obedient and go to sleep." She leaned over and kissed his forehead.

Jiang Yiyu kept quiet with a smile on his face. Song Shengsheng sat on the stool beside the bed and watched over him for a while. After a long time, she heard him mutter "I'm sorry" in a low voice.

"It doesn't matter."

"You always catch me in a miserable state." Jiang Yiyu didn't open his eyes.

But perhaps because he was lying there a little uncomfortably, he tried to turn over, groaned in annoyance, and then sighed: "I thought I selfishly kept you by my side and could take good care of you, but in the end, I still have to get more comfort from you than I gave. Song Shengsheng, actually what Song Ming said is right, I really don't deserve you."

Song Shengsheng frowned and asked calmly, "So? Do you want a divorce?"

Jiang Yiyu raised his eyelids. Because of the fever, his peach blossom eyes were watery and the outline of his double eyelids was more obvious. He turned his head to look at her: "If you want to leave, I will let you go."

"Okay, then you die."

"Hmm?" Jiang Yiyu's pupils shrank slightly, and he even suspected that he had misheard. He asked again, "What did you just say?"

Song Shengsheng's tone was calm, even with a hint of a smile: "I said you go die, and when you die I can leave."

Jiang Yiyu frowned and smiled: "Keep your voice down, this is the first time I've heard you say something like this."

Song Shengsheng crossed his arms and said calmly, "You said that in our marriage, there is only widowhood, not divorce. If you want to let me go, then I can only be a widow. After all, I cherish my life very much, and I don't want to be the one to die."

"You remember what I said casually."

"You said this casually, so you said you love me casually too?"

"no."

"That's all, don't be so hypocritical. I'll treat you well, and you'll treat me well too. In my eyes, we're equals, and I hope you feel the same way. If one day I really have to leave you, it won't be because you let me go, but because I don't want you anymore. Jiang Yiyu, please maintain a sense of crisis with me and talk less about whether you'll leave or not. I want you to respond to the love I give you, and I want you to rely on me like you do now, understand?"

Jiang Yiyu looked at her and blinked, then smiled and looked at the ceiling again: "Be quiet, I'm a little scared when you do this."

"Are you worried that I'll be widowed?" Song Shengsheng chuckled. She leaned closer and gently touched his head. Jiang Yiyu looked at her, paused for a long time, and said softly, "You're so fierce now."

"But I'm laughing."

"Boy, you're angry."

"Um."

Song Shengsheng didn't deny it either. She gently leaned her cheek against Jiang Yiyu's forehead and said, "Brother Yiyu, you don't understand the obsession of secretly loving someone for twelve years. If you pretended not to know that I like you and didn't respond to me like you did in the past, it would be fine, but this time you provoked me first. You know, I can never get what I like, and the same goes for people, so unless I don't want you anymore, otherwise, we can't break up."

Her tone was gentle, but her words were overbearing. Jiang Yiyu lowered his eyes and sneered: "Then let's fight to the end."

"Okay." Song Shengsheng kissed the end of his eyebrow: "Now you can sleep peacefully, right? I won't leave."
