Chapter 48 Do you think I’m willing to give it up?

Song Ming's car followed Jiang Yiyu's car and arrived at the hotel one after the other. The difference was that Jiang Yiyu's car drove directly into the parking lot downstairs of the hotel, while Song Ming asked the driver to park the car in front of the hotel to avoid suspicion.

Before getting off the car, he turned around to look at the media and fans standing by the door with cameras, and said to Song Shengsheng, "Look, these people are so out of touch with the news these days that they don't even know their real boss didn't come in through this door."

Song Shengsheng glanced outside and said, "You even know the term 'authentic master'. How rare."

Song Ming smiled, took out his sunglasses from his pocket and put them on elegantly. After the driver got out of the car to open the door for him, he gathered up the lapels of his suit and walked out of the car calmly with his long legs.

Because he acted very pretentiously, as soon as he went down, those who were originally waiting for Jiang Yiyu all turned their eyes to him.

Song Shengsheng was sitting in the car and suddenly didn't want to get out. He felt inexplicably embarrassed.

Seeing that she was still not catching up with him, Song Ming turned around to look at her, pushed his sunglasses down to look cool, and raised his chin towards her: "Why are you still standing there? Let's go."

Song Shengsheng sighed and got out of the car silently with her head down. She took Song Ming's arm and took only two steps when the driver called out to her, "Mr. Song! You didn't take your watermelon."

Song Shengsheng glanced at Song Ming and asked, "Did you bring back that watermelon?"

Song Ming raised his voice as if it was a matter of course: "I paid for it, why shouldn't I take it back?" Then he turned around and took the watermelon from the driver, shook it, and whispered: "Watermelons are so precious in this season! No matter how rich my family is, we can't waste it like this!"

"That's right." Song Shengsheng patted the watermelon in his arms: "Is it sweet?"

Song Ming said as he walked, "The owner of the fruit shop helped me pick them. He said they would be sweet. If they're not sweet, I can go back to him and he'll give us two more as compensation."

"That should be pretty sweet."

"Go upstairs later, cut it open, and taste it, and you'll know."

"Okay, give Jiang Yiyu one too."

"Can he eat it?"

"I guess so."

Song Ming freed one hand and pressed the elevator button: "Well, never mind. Life is short, and eating less and less is more. So go ahead and eat. But, are you going to the set with him this afternoon?"

"I don't know how they arranged it, but I feel a little uneasy if I don't go."

"Then go ahead. Don't let anyone get hurt, I'm here to support you at any time."

Song Shengsheng looked at Song Ming's heartless face and finally smiled.

After returning to the room, Song Ming called the hotel manager to send a fruit knife. He took off his suit, washed his hands and started cutting the melon. Song Shengsheng watched beside him with eager eyes.

But when the knife cut and the melon split open, the brother and sister were both disappointed. The pale pink flesh didn't look sweet at all. Song Ming was about to take the melon to the fruit shop owner to claim compensation, but was stopped by Song Shengsheng: "It's out of season, so it's normal that it's not sweet. Besides, you bought the melon yesterday. If you go back and look for it now, they may not recognize it. Just take it as a lesson."

Song Ming curled his lips, scooped out a piece of watermelon heart with a spoon and handed it to Song Shengsheng: "Try it, maybe it just doesn't look sweet."

Song Shengsheng took the spoon and ate the watermelon. He frowned and looked at Song Ming's expectant eyes, then smiled awkwardly: "Well... this watermelon is a good one, it's good, and it's consistent inside and out."

Song Ming sighed. He took another spoon, dug out a piece, and tasted it himself: "It feels like a cucumber."

“It’s still a long way off.”

Song Shengsheng put down his spoon and stared at the two halves of watermelon. Song Ming also stared at the watermelon for a moment, "Are there a lot of people at Jiang Yiyu's place?"

"Well, brother, you're not planning to share the spoils with the guys on Jiang Yiyu's team, are you? That's not a good idea."

"What should we do? We can't finish it both of us." Song Ming glanced at Song Shengsheng. He put down the spoon and picked up the untouched half of the melon: "Let's go and find him next door."

"Really?"

"What else? If you can't finish it, it will be a waste. Take the fruit knife."

"Oh, okay."

Song Shengsheng, holding a knife, followed Song Ming out of the room at a trot. But just as they were out, they saw a camera hidden at the corner of the corridor and the elevator. Song Ming paused, winked at Song Shengsheng, and whispered, "Call Wen Jing and ask her to come out and deal with it."

The two stood there for a while. As soon as Song Shengsheng hung up the phone, Wen Jing pushed the door open and walked out with bodyguards. Song Ming leaned against the wall to block Song Shengsheng and winked at Wen Jing.

Wen Jing nodded and walked towards the corner.

Song Shengsheng wanted to peek in to see what was going on, but Song Ming blocked him tightly: "What are you looking at? Are you afraid that you won't be exposed?"

Song Shengsheng tugged at the corner of his clothes: "If they took a picture of you, I certainly wouldn't be able to hide it. Just go online and dig up some information about you, and they'll be able to figure out what my relationship with Jiang Yiyu is."

"Fuck, so annoying." Song Ming sighed, "What a nuisance."

"elder brother."

"Don't call me, I'm annoying."

After Wen Jing dealt with the secret photographers, Song Ming escorted Song Shengsheng into Jiang Yiyu's room. He then turned around and called the hotel manager to scold him, saying that they were not doing their job properly and that they let in any random person...

Listening to Song Ming's temper, Song Shengsheng quietly walked into Jiang Yiyu's bedroom, sat down beside his bed, held his hand, and shrugged: "My brother is very angry now."

"What happened to him? Because there were people taking secret photos outside?"

"Not only that, he bought a watermelon yesterday. The boss promised him it would be sweet, but it turned out not to be tasty at all."
