Chapter 71 The Big Bad Wolf and the Little White Rabbit

After dinner, Song Shengsheng was sitting in the living room with Jiang Yiyu, sorting out his luggage that was piled in the utility room and had not yet been unpacked. She found a small cardboard box that looked a little old and heavy. She asked Jiang Yiyu what was inside.

Jiang Yiyu took a look, took the box from her hand and put it aside: "Some miscellaneous small things."

"Oh." Song Shengsheng didn't take it seriously.

When all the luggage was sorted out and ready to be put away, she once again noticed the only small box that had not been opened.

She placed the vase in her hand on the TV cabinet and pointed to the small box at his feet: "Aren't you going to take this apart?"

Jiang Yiyu placed the stack of books on the sofa, bent down to pick up the box, and dusted it off: "I haven't decided where to put the things inside yet."

"What kind of miscellaneous little things are inside that are so mysterious?"

Jiang Yiyu turned around and sat down on the sofa. He placed the box on his lap, reached over and picked up a paper cutter from the coffee table, and gently cut open the tape that sealed the box. "It's quite old."

Song Shengsheng walked over, leaned on the armrest of the single sofa across from him, and said with a smile: "It's not a collection of love letters, is it?"

Jiang Yiyu smiled, put down the paper cutter, and opened the box. He carefully took out a brown paper photo album from the box, flipped through it, and handed it to Song Shengsheng: "See if there is a love letter in it."

Song Shengsheng took the photo album and looked through it carefully.

The first few pages are filled with photos of Jiang Yiyu when he was a child.

There are photos of him as a baby, held in the arms of his mother, Li Chu.

There were his ID photos from kindergarten, photos of him happily playing on the lawn with his friends, and photos of him looking cool in camouflage uniform and holding a toy gun...

Photos of me in elementary school wearing a red scarf, with a serious face and saluting proudly, and photos of me holding certificates, trophies and the model airplane I made.

The handsome little boy's face was covered in mud, and he was smiling brightly as he held up a photo of a puppy, also covered in mud, lying on the lawn.

In junior high school, in an ID photo, the boy was wearing a shirt and tie, running on the basketball court with a basketball in his arms, smiling brightly.

The last photo of him that recorded his junior high school life was taken with Li Chu. In the photo, sixteen-year-old Jiang Yiyu was more than a head taller than Li Chu. He put his arm around Li Chu's shoulders, and the mother and son were intimate, smiling happily together.

Song Shengsheng had always thought that Jiang Yiyu looked more like Jiang Yuan, because he had deep facial features and a bit of a ruffian air, which was completely different from Li Chu's gentleness and softness.

But in this photo, when the mother and son smile, to be honest, they really look alike.

She looked up at Jiang Yiyu, who was looking through the contents of the small box, and said, "Brother Yiyu, can you please smile at me?"

"Ah?" Although Jiang Yiyu didn't understand, he still looked up and smiled at her obediently.

Song Shengsheng held up the photo album, compared it, and smiled: "Congratulations, you have grown up in proportion!"

Jiang Yiyu raised his eyebrows slightly: "You have seen what I looked like before." Then he lowered his head and continued to rummage through the box.

Song Shengsheng put down the photo album and gently stroked Jiang Yiyu's smiling face in the photo: "I haven't seen you before high school. You must have been very happy back then, right?"

"Yeah, it's okay."

"You are good-looking, it turns out you take after your mother."

"I can't compare to her." Jiang Yiyu's lips curled up gently: "Even when she was lying on the hospital bed at the end, she was still beautiful."

“Time never defeats beauty.”

Jiang Yiyu didn't say anything. Song Shengsheng continued to flip through the album, and the time point came to his high school period.

Jiang Yiyu in the photo no longer had the smiling face he had in previous photos. Even his ID photo, which had no expression to begin with, seemed to be covered with a layer of faint haze.

And her and Song Ming's figures also began to appear in his photos.

There are photos of him and Song Ming taking photos with their basketball teammates on the basketball court in the summer, and there are also non-mainstream posed photos of him taking photos of Song Ming.

In his own solo photos, he mostly wears a large sweatshirt hat, and his smile rarely appears, or does not even reach his eyes.

This image overlaps with the Jiang Yiyu in Song Shengsheng's memory.

She flipped through the album faster until she saw the photo of the three of them standing on the observatory at the top of the ski resort on a winter day. Only then did she stop turning the pages.

This photo is different from the one she has at home.

In the photo, she was standing between Song Ming and Jiang Yiyu. She and Song Ming were looking at the camera, smiling foolishly, while Jiang Yiyu was turning his head to look at her, smiling shyly and gently.

Song Shengsheng's heartbeat suddenly quickened. It turned out that he really had feelings for her at that time...

The photo on the next page shows a cable car shot from Jiang Yiyu's perspective. If you look closely, you can see she and Song Ming are sitting in the car, looking back at the top of the mountain...

In the many pages that followed, there were many scenes of her back, and those scenes overlapped with her memories of secretly glancing at him.

The last photo in the album is also the only one that shows Jiang Yiyu after he went to high school, but she has never seen him.

The day in the photo was the day she reported to university. Her parents and Song Ming happily sent her to school. Jiang Yiyu had originally said that he would come to see her off, but unfortunately he had something urgent to do and couldn't leave.

Song Shengsheng was a little disappointed at the time, but in the photo, their family was walking in the crowd, Song Ming and Song Qing were walking in front carrying her suitcase, and she was following behind with Wang Jing's hand in hers.
