Chapter 81 Just Spoil Her

After chatting for a while, the three of them fell silent in tacit understanding.

Song Ming looked into the distance. Jiang Yiyu was replying to messages on his cell phone. Song Shengsheng looked at the water droplets oozing from the beer bottle, yawned, and then leaned towards Jiang Yiyu.

Jiang Yiyu finished typing the last word, turned his head to look at her, reached out and touched her forehead, and asked softly, "Are you sleepy?"

Song Shengsheng nodded and closed his eyes.

Song Ming also retracted his gaze and looked at her: "Song Shengsheng, are you a pig? You feel sleepy when you are full. If you say you are not fat, then who is fat?"

"I'm not fat." Song Shengsheng couldn't help but yawn again. "It was quite hot this morning, but now it's cooler. The breeze feels so comfortable. If I had a bed right now, I promise I could sleep until tomorrow morning."

Song Ming and Jiang Yiyu smiled at each other. Song Ming pointed to the lawn in the distance and said, "Piglets sleep on the ground, they don't need beds. Look, there's such a big lawn here, enough for you to roll around."

Song Shengsheng hugged Jiang Yiyu's arm and nudged his head on his shoulder: "I don't want to pay attention to you. Where's Sister Wenjing? I haven't seen her for a long time. Brother, why don't you go look for her?"

"Why should I look for her?" Song Ming picked up the bottle and took a sip: "She can go wherever she wants, I don't care." He handed the bottle to Jiang Yiyu, motioning him to pick up the bottle and have a drink together.

Jiang Yiyu understood, picked up the bottle, clinked it with his, and took a sip: "What's wrong with you? Were you rejected?"

Song Ming sighed, "It's hard to explain in a few words. Let's talk later." He pointed to the drowsy Song Shengsheng and said to Jiang Yiyu, "Don't let her sleep here. She might catch a cold again."

Song Shengsheng said without even looking up, "It's over 30 degrees Celsius, how can I be cold?"

Jiang Yiyu smiled and put his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him. "It's okay, she's just taking a nap. She can't fall asleep even if she really wants to."

Song Ming smiled and shook his head: "Just spoil her. I just recently figured out what else this little girl likes about you besides your face."

"What?" Jiang Yiyu asked, and Song Shengsheng also pricked up his ears.

Song Mingdao said, "Ever since we met, you've always agreed to everything my parents and I told her not to do or buy for her. When she was a sophomore in college, she said she wanted to go bungee jumping, and you jumped with her without a word. And when she was a freshman in high school, she went to an art exhibition and insisted on getting a work that the artist didn't sell. In the end, you also got her into trouble."

Jiang Yiyu smiled.

Song Ming continued, "One New Year's Eve, we were at Wucheng Airport preparing to return to Beijing. We were about to go through security, but you heard this little girl say she wanted to eat some ice cream from a certain place in Wucheng. Without saying a word, she ran out of the airport and took a taxi to buy some. When she came back, the plane had already left. Later, we finally got on the plane and returned home, but this little girl couldn't wait and fell asleep. Jiang Yiyu, you said you had been planning this for my sister for a long time, didn't you?"

"No, in my eyes, she has always been my younger sister."

"Are you kidding me?"

Jiang Yiyu put down his phone and smoothed Song Shengsheng's hair. When he saw her open her eyes and look at him, he smiled gently and covered her eyes with his hands: "It doesn't matter if I lie to God or the devil. Anyway, she and I are in love now, and we are family. That's enough."

Song Shengsheng raised the corner of his lips. Song Ming took another sip of wine and said, "You'd better really think so." He hesitated for a moment and said, "I've heard some rumors coming from South City recently."

"So, you plan to expand your business to South City?"

"Playing dumb?"

"I'm not pretending to be stupid." Jiang Yiyu chuckled and took back his hand covering Song Shengsheng's eyes. "You just heard Li Xu and the others talking about Jin Beisheng, so you want to remind me not to get too close to that person, right?"

Song Ming remained noncommittal. "I heard he recently bought a lot of Jiang Corporation shares. It's so large it's hard not to be suspicious. I'm afraid your father has noticed it too."

Jiang Yiyu raised his eyebrows slightly: "What does it have to do with me? Do I have to beg Jin Beisheng to stop him from targeting the Jiang family for Jiang Yuan's career? Is it necessary for me?"

"You'd better think like this. Jiang Yiyu, if you need help, come to me. We are family. If you go to Jin Beisheng, it will be easier said than done. No matter whether the matter succeeds or not, if he doesn't peel off your skin, then he is not a wolf in disguise."

Song Shengsheng sat up straight, opened his eyes, and looked at Jiang Yiyu with worry. Jiang Yiyu pinched the back of his neck in annoyance: "I know what's going on. Don't worry about it."

"Who cares about you?" Song Ming didn't say anything else. Song Shengsheng pinched Jiang Yiyu's arm, looked at him, and slowly frowned.

As dusk approached, Lin Huan, Li Xu and their group left by car one after another. Wen Jing also left because she had something to do early the next morning.

In the evening, after Song Ming dragged Jiang Yiyu out for another round of drinking, he simply washed up drunkenly and went back to the tent to sleep.

Song Shengsheng sat next to Jiang Yiyu, holding a can of iced cola with a straw in her hand. She bit the straw and glanced at him: "Have you been busy lately?"

Jiang Yiyu replied as he said, "It's okay, there's something going on."

"What's going on?"

Jiang Yiyu raised his eyes to glance at her and smiled: "Official business, not a big deal."

"Oh." Song Shengsheng lowered her head again. After a while, she asked tentatively, "Can't you tell me?"

"Hmm? What?"

"Your business."

Jiang Yiyu didn't say anything, but only quickened his typing speed. After replying the message, he placed his phone on the table and twirled his fingers lightly: "Some things have to be resolved."
