Chapter 86 Mrs. Jiang, you must remember that you are married

After dinner, after sending Song Ming back to the company, Jiang Yiyu and Song Shengsheng were the only ones left in the car.

The atmosphere was really awkward. Song Shengsheng grabbed her seat belt and turned to look out the window. Jiang Yiyu stole glances at her while driving. He didn't say anything, and she didn't say anything either.

It was still early evening and the traffic was a bit congested. Jiang Yiyu turned on the radio and tuned to the music channel he occasionally listened to. A soothing old song started playing in the car, and he tapped the steering wheel with his fingers intermittently to the beat of the music.

After a while, when the song was about to end, he finally mustered up the courage to talk to Song Shengsheng, "I saw you didn't eat much. Is it because the food there wasn't to your liking?"

Song Shengsheng hummed: "Not bad, I'm full."

Jiang Yiyu didn't know what to say anymore. He cleared his throat and touched his nose awkwardly: "My job next week is to shoot a magazine in Beijing."

"Yeah, I understand."

"I might be busy for a while next month promoting my new movie."

"Well, you're busy."

"Well... actually... today, I just lost my temper. I didn't mean to be mean to you."

"It's okay, it's all in the past. I was the one who made the mistake in the first place."

"You're not wrong. Wen Jing must have something to ask you, and you must have your own considerations. I should trust you."

Song Shengsheng pointed ahead and said, "It's time to go."

"Oh, okay."

After driving for a while, Jiang Yiyu asked again tentatively: "Why do you want me to go out so much today?"

"No reason."

"You don't want to talk about it, then I won't ask. Are you still angry?"

Song Shengsheng turned to look at him: "I'm not angry, but I think my brother is right. People really need to keep some distance between each other. So I was thinking, tonight, one of us should sleep on the sofa."

"Ah? I don't agree."

Song Shengsheng smiled and said, "Objection is invalid."

After returning home, Jiang Yiyu followed Song Shengsheng into the bedroom. He was planning to find an opportunity to protest the separate sleeping arrangements, but he never expected that Song Shengsheng would not give him any room to resist.

She walked straight into the cloakroom, opened the cabinet, took out the extra quilts and pillows at home, then turned around and handed them to Jiang Yiyu who had been following her. She also took out a set of his spare clothes and put them on the bedding without saying a word.

Jiang Yiyu frowned and looked at the thing in his arms blankly: "My dear, are you serious?"

Song Shengsheng nodded, pushed him out of the bedroom and closed the door.

Jiang Yiyu looked at the closed door in front of him, then lowered his head to glance at the bedding in his arms. He suddenly felt a little sorry for himself. He reached out and knocked on the door: "My dear, can't we discuss this again? There's no room for negotiation at all?"

About two minutes later, Song Shengsheng opened the door and handed him the plastic basket containing his toiletries: "You can use the bathroom in the living room."

Jiang Yiyu took the small fruit green basket she handed him and took a look at the things inside: a toothbrush, a cup, a towel, and two or three bottles of skin care products. That was all his belongings. He sighed. Song Shengsheng smiled at him, closed the door again, and locked it.

Jiang Yiyu resigned himself to his fate, holding all his belongings and sitting dejectedly on the sofa for a while, then he took his spare clothes and carried his fruit green wash basket into the bathroom.

After taking a shower, he didn't give up and knocked on the door again. After waiting for a while, seeing that Song Shengsheng didn't move, he put his ear to the door, trying to listen to her footsteps to open the door, but what he waited for was the sound of turning off the light by pressing the switch.

"Darling, can you sleep without me? Darling! Song Shengsheng!"

In the bedroom, Song Shengsheng wrapped herself in a quilt and listened to his anxious shouts. She couldn't help laughing out loud. She opened her phone and sent him a WeChat message.

With a ding, the cell phone rang. Jiang Yiyu opened it and saw that Song Shengsheng had sent him two words: Good night.

Jiang Yiyu was completely speechless. He knocked on the door helplessly twice, and finally, his hand slowly dropped down.

He curled up on the sofa, hugging the quilt. The more he thought about it, the angrier and sadder he became. Adhering to the principle that he could not sleep on the sofa whenever his wife was at home, he sat up, lifted the quilt, put on his slippers, and hurried to the study.

He remembered that Song Shengsheng once told him that the spare key to the door of his room at home was in the drawer of the desk.

After searching for a while, he found a bunch of keys in the corner of the drawer on the window side of the desk. He held the key chain up to the light above his head and shone it on others. He found that all the keys looked the same and there was no marking. How could he know which key could open the bedroom door?

There is no choice but to take them together and try them.

Song Shengsheng was just beginning to feel sleepy when she heard the rustling sound of someone fiddling with the door lock outside. She opened her eyes, picked up her phone and took a look. It was almost two in the morning, and Jiang Yiyu still hadn't given up. She found it inexplicably funny, so she didn't bother to care about him and just let him be.

She closed her eyes again. After about ten minutes, there were two clicks and the door opened. Then her side sank and she fell into Jiang Yiyu's warm embrace.

"Good boy, are you asleep?"

Song Shengsheng didn't say anything, just pretended to be asleep. She turned over habitually, hugged his waist, and snuggled into his arms.

Jiang Yiyu slowly relaxed his brows and muttered proudly in a low voice: "You see, you can't do it without me." He kissed the top of her head, held her and found a comfortable position to lie down, reached out and pulled the quilt to cover her, and closed his eyes comfortably and happily.

When they woke up the next morning, they were in tacit agreement and neither of them mentioned the quarrel and anger they had yesterday.
