Song Shengsheng laughed and said, "Is there a possibility that they also ate this expired mooncake?"
Jiang Yiyu was silent for a moment, then shook his head with a helpless smile: "It's incredible. The people in the studio can't even have the same brain."
As they were talking, Xiao Chen came trotting over with a mooncake and placed it next to Jiang Yiyu. She smiled and waved to Song Shengsheng, then lowered her voice and said to Jiang Yiyu, "Brother, this must not be expired. This is the extra mooncake we used for gifts this year."
"What about that mooncake just now?"
Xiao Chen cleared her throat and lowered her voice because she felt guilty: "These are the leftovers from last year's gifts. Sister Wen Jing said that we can't waste them, so what we are eating today are those expired mooncakes." After saying that, she was afraid that Jiang Yiyu would be angry, so she ran away.
Jiang Yiyu picked up the mooncake she had just put down and carefully looked for the production date on the bag: "Well, it's simply not written on this one." He tore open the bag, took out the mooncake, smelled it, and smiled: "It won't make you sick if you eat it even if it's not clean. It's a good omen and a fun thing. Eat it."
Song Shengsheng watched him take a bite and asked, "Is it delicious? What's the filling?"
Jiang Yiyu nodded and showed her the cross section of the mooncake he had bitten. "It's chocolate. Although a little sweet, it tastes good."
"No matter how bad something with chocolate tastes, it can't be that bad."
"Did you eat mooncakes today? What kind of filling did you eat?"
Song Shengsheng: "Grandpa asked the nanny to queue up and buy the special meat-filled mooncakes from Jiangcheng. They tasted pretty good. I ate them as a staple food during meals. Grandma also said that you grew up in Beijing and may not have eaten mooncakes here, so she asked the nanny to save a portion for you in the refrigerator."
"Thank grandma for me."
"Okay, Brother Yi Yu, when will you be done?"
"The work at hand should be finished tomorrow, so I plan to fly to South City tomorrow night. I have something to discuss with Jin Beisheng. After I finish, around the day after tomorrow, if you are still in Jiangcheng, I will come to find you."
Song Shengsheng sighed and yawned: "Okay, then tell me when you're done. I'll wait for you in Jiangcheng."
"OK."
The two were silent for a while. Song Shengsheng watched Jiang Yiyu finish his mooncake and asked, "Did you look at the moon?"
Jiang Yiyu packed up the mooncake box: "I haven't taken care of it yet, did you see it?"
Song Shengsheng switched the video camera and pointed it at the full moon hanging high in the night sky: "People say that the moon on the 15th is the roundest on the 16th. If you don't have time today, you can watch it tomorrow."
Jiang Yiyu propped up his head with his hands and looked at the screen with a smile: "No need to wait until tomorrow, I can see it now."
Song Shengsheng also started laughing.
…
During the few days in Jiangcheng, Song Ming was away from home day and night in order to escape the pressure from his elders to get married. At first, Wang Jing could still get through to him on the phone, but later, the phone was no longer reachable. When she looked at his circle of friends, she found that he had flown to Sanya without anyone noticing.
Wang Jing had no idea what to do with him, so she just stopped caring about him. She found something to do and started going out to meet friends every day.
Song Shengsheng stayed at home every day and lived an early retirement life with his grandparents.
After breakfast in the morning, I practice Tai Chi with my grandfather, walk the bird, and water the flowers.
After lunch, I sleep for half an hour, then meditate for another half an hour. After waking up, I start reading literature and writing papers.
Before dinner, I accompanied my grandmother to draw and practice calligraphy. After dinner, the whole family went out for a walk together.
After returning home and taking a shower, she lay down on the recliner under the eaves on time, swaying slowly while making a video call to Jiang Yiyu.
On the other hand, Jiang Yiyu was really busy. He was so busy that he kept postponing the date of his visit to Jiangcheng. He only arrived the day before Song Shengsheng was going back to the capital with Wang Jing and Song Qing.
As soon as he arrived, the old house became lively again. He and Song Shengsheng sat on the sofa together, surrounded by a group of elders who asked them questions. Song Shengsheng thought he would be nervous, but after listening to the questions, Jiang Yiyu was not only emotionally stable, but also answered very appropriately, politely and thoughtfully.
His grandparents and aunts and uncles also had a much better impression of him. At lunch, his grandfather and maternal grandfather even asked him to drink a few more glasses of wine. When he was drunk, Grandpa Song kept praising Song Qing, saying that Jiang Yiyu was an ambitious and promising child, who was much better than Song Ming, that unreliable boy.
In the end, Jiang Yiyu was praised so much that he felt embarrassed.
After dinner, the elders went back to their rooms for a nap. Song Shengsheng also took Jiang Yiyu's hand and took him back to his room on the third floor.
After Jiang Yiyu entered the room, he carefully looked around the room and said with a smile, "My dear, she is really a little princess. Even the bedroom in the old house in Jiangcheng is pink and tender."
Song Shengsheng sat down on the edge of the bed and swung her legs: "My grandparents love me very much."
Jiang Yiyu sat down next to her and took her to his lap: "I love you too."
Song Shengsheng put her arms around his neck, kissed the corner of his lips, and smiled: "I don't need a pink bedroom in Mingyuan, please know."
"Got it. Do you miss me these days?"
"Yes, I dreamed about you last night."
"What did you dream about me?" Jiang Yiyu leaned in close and gently nudged the tip of her nose, lowering his voice and asking ambiguously, "Or, what did you dream about doing with me? Hmm?"
Song Shengsheng laughed and tilted her head back, covering his mouth: "It's not serious, I'm having a serious dream."
Jiang Yi Yu kissed the palm of her hand, which felt itchy. Song Shengsheng curled her fingers slightly and looked into his beautiful smiling peach blossom eyes. She felt the coolness of his fingertips spreading upward along the hem of her clothes and finally stopped. Her heartbeat seemed to be jumping at his fingertips, beating faster and faster.
