The next time Song Shengsheng saw Song Ming was in the afternoon when she was about to leave Nancheng. She packed her luggage and Jiang Yiyu took half a day off, saying that he would take her to the airport. Just as she finished packing her luggage, the doorbell rang.
Jiang Yiyu slowly moved to the door. As soon as he opened it, the smell of alcohol hit him and made him frown. He raised his hand and fanned it in front of his face in disgust: "Oh my god, buddy, which wine vat did you just crawl out of? It smells so strong."
Song Ming smiled at him, then staggered sideways and squeezed into the door.
Song Shengsheng came out of the bedroom upon hearing the noise and saw Song Ming wearing a wrinkled black shirt with an equally wrinkled suit draped over his shoulders. His usually well-groomed hair was now messy, and his dark circles were terribly heavy, not to mention the stubble on his chin.
Song Shengsheng was stunned: "Brother... have you been up all night?"
"Yeah, I went out yesterday and drank too much, so I just found a place and stayed overnight." Song Ming yawned: "Are you ready? If you are, we can go."
Jiang Yiyu moved to his side, sniffed him curiously, and tugged at his shirt sleeve: "Besides the smell of alcohol, there's also the smell of perfume. This scent doesn't sound like something you would use. Song Ming, where did you go fooling around yesterday?"
Song Ming pushed him with a guilty conscience, then remembered that Jiang Yiyu was unstable, so he quickly reached out to help him: "Where else can I go to fool around? I asked you to go out for a drink, but you didn't even go..."
Halfway through his words, he looked down at Jiang Yiyu's injured leg and touched the back of his head with a guilty conscience: "Of course, I didn't call you because you were injured."
Song Shengsheng approached and reached out to lift up Song Ming's shirt collar a little. She looked at the red mark on the side of his neck and frowned: "Brother, won't you explain?"
Song Ming cleared his throat awkwardly. He took two steps back in a panic, avoiding Song Shengsheng and Jiang Yiyu, and strode towards the sofa: "What's wrong with you two? Why do you always like to touch me? It's so annoying."
Song Shengsheng and Jiang Yiyu exchanged a glance, and she walked over to the sofa and sat down. "Brother, let me tell you, if you do something wrong in the heat of the moment, it's best to admit it. Otherwise, if something really goes wrong, you'll end up in big trouble."
"Look at what you said, what kind of trouble can you cause!" Song Ming waved his hand. He leaned lazily against the back of the sofa, crossed his legs, and put his feet on the edge of the coffee table. He looked up at Jiang Yiyu and said naturally, "Xiao Jiang, go get me a bottle of water."
Jiang Yiyu was also rude. He raised his crutch and hit Song Ming's leg: "Hey, I really gave you a favor and you ordered me around. Take your foot off me."
Song Ming covered his leg and groaned impatiently, "Are you two annoying me? I'm not a criminal. Do you think I deserve to be interrogated like this the moment I walk in?"
"Then what are the red marks on your neck? Where have you been these two days? And what's with the smell of perfume on your body?" Song Shengsheng crossed his arms and looked at Song Ming seriously.
Song Ming glanced up at her and sighed impatiently: "I got drunk last night and stayed on a park bench all night. I got bit by mosquitoes."
Jiang Yiyu leaned on the armrest of the sofa next to Song Shengsheng, pointed at Song Ming with his crutch, and said to Song Shengsheng: "Look, this kid never tells the truth. Unlike me, I never lie to you."
Song Ming glared at him and said, "Jiang Yiyu, that's enough. It's already this late and you're still adding fuel to the fire. You're the typical person who enjoys watching the fun and making trouble."
Song Shengsheng took a bottle of water from the paper bag next to the coffee table and threw it to Song Ming: "Brother, I don't want to care about you, but you can't go too far. You told me that you need to seriously observe whether Sister Wen Jing is your true love, and then you go out to fool around. If you are like this, who would like you?"
"Oh, I'm so impressed. I really drank myself to death yesterday. I didn't do anything, I swear! Seriously!" Song Ming unscrewed the bottle cap, tilted his head back and took a big sip. "You're still blaming me. Last time you attended a class reunion, you got drunk and insisted on going home on your own late at night. In the end, you were picked up by this kid. I haven't taught you a lesson yet. Tell me how dangerous it was! You're a little girl. What would you do if you met a bad guy instead of Jiang Yiyu?"
Jiang Yiyu turned to look at Song Shengsheng and slowly frowned: "I really forgot to mention this. Little Shengsheng, you really need to strengthen your safety awareness. Don't always think that everyone in this world is a good person. Danger may be around you at any time."
Song Ming bent down and placed the water bottle heavily on the coffee table. He clapped his hands in agreement with Jiang Yiyu and said to Song Shengsheng, "Your brother Yiyu is right. You have been protected too well since childhood and lack safety awareness. When I return this time, I will recommend a few safety awareness lectures for you. You should go and listen to them more often."
Jiang Yiyu touched his chin and asked Song Ming: "What do you think? Why don't we just hire two bodyguards for her? That way we can have peace of mind."
Song Shengsheng was completely helpless. She looked at Jiang Yiyu and Song Ming and took a deep breath. "What if the bodyguards are bad too? If you two are so worried, why don't you just stop doing anything and just follow me and take turns on duty."
Song Ming was stunned for a moment. He patted the armrest of the sofa on the side closest to Jiang Yiyu and said, "How about this? I'll pick her up for you for a month. When you finish your work and return to Beijing next month, we'll hand over the shift."
Jiang Yiyu thought for a moment and said, "I think it's okay."
"Come on!" Song Shengsheng pinched Jiang Yiyu's arm: "Jiang Yiyu, have you forgotten what we are doing now?"
Jiang Yiyu was stunned for a moment, then said seriously, "Although it is important to educate Song Ming and tell him not to harm others, your safety is more important than his!"
