Chapter 1 Make Her Disappear

In early March, the sky was somewhat overcast, and a black sedan sped along the winding mountain road.

The car stopped halfway up the mountain. The woman sitting in the back seat was a little nervous. "Brother, if we leave Xu Rubao here, will she die?"

"According to Grandpa's wishes, this ugly girl will turn twenty this year, and I will have to marry her. She's so ugly, yet she still hopes to marry me. She's dreaming. Stop talking nonsense and come help me."

After saying that, the man and woman got out of the car, opened the trunk, and dragged a woman out of it with swift and decisive movements.

A short while later, the unconscious woman rolled down the mountain and disappeared into the depths of the dense forest.

Xu Ziqing glanced at the dense forest. Xu Rubao was nothing more than a bastard of unknown origin, raised by her grandfather in the Xu family, and had always wasted the Xu family's rice.

She's so ugly, how could she be worthy of being the young mistress of the Xu family? She doesn't want such an ugly sister-in-law either; it would be embarrassing to talk about and would lower her status.

Xu Ziyang's lips curled into a wicked smile. Whether this ugly woman lived or died was up to her to decide; he never wanted to see her again.

After an unknown amount of time, Xu Rubao, who had been abandoned in the mountains, slowly opened his eyes, feeling sore all over.

When she saw herself lying in the woods, surrounded by towering trees, she was startled. How did she get here?

It's the weekend, and she's clearly at home. Who brought her here?

Xu Rubao rubbed his lower back and stood up from the ground.

By then the sun had already set, casting sparse, soft orange light through the dense foliage.

It was getting dark, and she had to leave quickly; it would be too dangerous to spend the night here.

Before long, dark clouds rolled in, a heavy rain was imminent, and the sky grew darker and darker.

Xu Rubao panicked; she was afraid of the dark. "Help! Is anyone there?"

Deep in the dense forest, the wind blew and the leaves rustled, as if someone was crying.

With a deafening roar, lightning seemed to cleave the sky in two, startling Xu Rubao so much that he ran around like a headless fly through the dense forest.

She ran for an unknown amount of time until she saw an ancient castle. Without thinking, she rushed inside.

Inside the castle, there wasn't a single light; it was pitch black.

Xu Rubao cautiously walked in. "Hello, is anyone here?"

Suddenly, a hoarse growl echoed from inside the castle, sounding like a ferocious beast at first glance: "Who let you come here?"

Xu Rubao was startled, her legs went weak, and she almost fell to the ground, her body trembling uncontrollably.

She looked up and could only vaguely make out a figure.

"Could I...could I take shelter here from the rain?"

At this moment, Xu Rubao suddenly remembered the legend of Qiwu Mountain, where there was a luxurious castle. Every fourteenth of the month, strange cries would be heard. No one had ever left the castle. Today was March fourteenth.

Did she really stumble upon that terrifying castle by mistake? Was she really that unlucky? Would she even live to see tomorrow's sunrise?

She clutched her chest with both hands, her voice trembling, "You...please, I don't want to die...ah..."

Before Xu Rubao could finish speaking, she felt the person approaching her, and suddenly her waist was lifted up in a hug.

In the dimly lit castle, Xu Rubao struggled desperately, trying to escape from the man's grasp, "Let me go... let me go..."

The man carried her upstairs step by step, into the room on the left, and with a creak, the wooden door opened, and Xu Rubao was thrown onto the bed.

The wind howled and rattled the window, and a bolt of lightning flashed into the room.

In that instant, as Xu Rubao tried to see the man's face clearly, the next second, the man suddenly pinned her to the bed.
