Xu Rubao ignored him and just ate her own food, not wanting to upset her stomach.
The worse your mood, the more you should eat.
Lu Jingheng was worried that she was too hungry and would eat too quickly, so he poured her a bowl of soup. "Eat slowly, don't choke."
"It's none of your business, I can drink it myself."
She ate another steamed bun and felt that was enough. Although she was hungry, she couldn't eat too much; just enough was fine, as this would help with recovery.
After watching her finish eating, Lu Jingheng took a tissue and wiped the corner of her mouth.
Xu Rubao flinched, clearly not wanting him to wipe her; there wasn't much of a close relationship between them.
"Don't move around, lie down after you've eaten."
Xu Rubao turned her head away, not wanting to pay attention to him, but still obediently lay down.
Her foot is injured and she is not fit to move at the moment.
After a while, she heard a noise, turned around and saw Lu Jingheng eating what she had left over.
She paused for a moment, wondering if he hadn't eaten either.
He's usually such a meticulous person, especially with his obsessive-compulsive disorder about cleanliness, which can sometimes be quite frustrating.
And judging from his appearance, he seemed to be hungry.
Xu Rubao hesitated for a moment, then pursed her lips slightly. "Haven't you eaten?"
"No, I've been looking for you all night, and I haven't been able to eat."
"You didn't eat? Why?"
He wants to eat, it's a matter of minutes, why should he go hungry?
Lu Jingheng glanced at her. "Idiot, what do you think?"
"Who knows..."
Xu Rubao simply stopped looking at him. If he was hungry, so be it; it had nothing to do with her anyway.
Lu Jingheng finished the rest of the food; it was just the right amount for two people.
After finishing his meal, Lu Jingheng tidied up his things.
After a while, the doctor came in to change the dressing and also checked the wound.
The wounds on my body weren't very deep, so they're relatively easy to heal.
Xu Rubao changed her dressing and fell asleep soon after.
Lu Jingheng couldn't trust her, so he could only keep an eye on her. It was already painful enough for him to see this happen right under his nose.
He watched her fall asleep, then took out his phone and dealt with some urgent work.
He'll probably have to stay in the hospital for the next couple of days, at least until her condition improves.
In the evening, Lu Jinglan personally delivered dinner, accompanied by Cheng Meilin.
Xu Rubao had just woken up when they arrived.
Lu Jinglan felt really sorry for her when she saw that she had woken up. If it weren't for her, she wouldn't be in this situation now.
"Ru Bao, how are you now? Are you feeling any better?"
"I'm much better now, Lanlan and Meilin, thank you for coming to see me."
Lu Jinglan glanced at her older brother, "We didn't help much either. But my brother, when he found out you were missing, he was so worried. He searched for you all night, and judging from his appearance, he hasn't slept a wink."
Xu Rubao couldn't help but glance at him, and sure enough, his eyes were red.
When he woke up, he didn't even look at her directly, so he didn't notice that his eyes were red.
"Rubao, we brought lots of delicious food. Eat more so you can recover faster."
"Ms. Cheng, thank you."
Cheng Meilin opened the food box and glanced at Lu Jingheng. "Brother Jingheng, I heard from Auntie that you like to eat drunken goose. The kitchen specially made a dish for you today. Try it while it's hot."
Cheng Meilin took out the dishes one after another. Of course, Xu Rubao couldn't eat anything too greasy, so she prepared some lighter dishes for her.
