After dealing with Lu Jingheng, Xu Rubao breathed a sigh of relief as she watched him sleeping peacefully.
That bastard, how many things has he been hiding from me?
Also, did he know all along that the person that day was her, which is why he approached her?
Was he approaching her because he liked her, or was she just someone else he needed?
Thinking of this, Xu Rubao felt a surge of anger. This matter had been weighing on her heart like a heavy stone.
She grew angrier the more she thought about it, and couldn't help but reach out and pinch his arm hard.
In his sleep, Lu Jingheng had exhausted all his strength. His brows furrowed slightly, and he didn't even move his eyelids as he continued to sleep.
Xu Rubao watched him sleeping like a log, and even if he held a knife to his neck, he probably wouldn't react.
She sighed softly; her stomach was growling.
She was originally going to the Lu family's house for dinner. If she went there tonight, she would definitely be eating delicious food.
Now that she knows this is Lu Jingheng's place, she's no longer afraid.
She struggled to her feet, went outside, and wanted to see where the kitchen was and if she could find something to eat.
She stepped out of the room and turned on all the lights. The room was quite large, and it took her a while to find the kitchen.

She opened the cabinet and found only a few cups of instant noodles.
She frowned slightly. Was Lu Jingheng eating instant noodles here?
She checked the date and it hadn't expired.
She was hungry and didn't care about anything else, so she just boiled water.
Xu Rubao was still a little uneasy after making instant noodles. She carried the noodles into the room, worried that something might happen to Lu Jingheng.
Although I was very angry, I was mostly worried.
After she finished eating her instant noodles, Lu Jingheng still didn't wake up.

She stayed in the room, and before she knew it, sleepiness came over her, and she fell asleep by the bedside.
The next morning, just as dawn was breaking and the sun had not yet risen, a light mist drifted over the distant mountains.
Lu Jingheng opened his eyes and saw the woman lying next to him. He frowned slightly.

He glanced at the time, his brows furrowing even deeper, as if the onset of the attack had shortened again.

Lu Jingheng looked at her sleeping like that, guessing that she had slept like that last night too, with the window still open. What if she caught a cold?
Lu Jingheng thought of pulling the blanket over her, but Xu Rubao woke up just as he covered her with it.
Xu Rubao rubbed her eyes and found that Lu Jingheng had already woken up.
However, looking at the person, Xu Rubao didn't know what to say to him.
I had so many questions I wanted to ask last night, but now, the words seem to have stuck in my throat, and I can't say them.
Lu Jingheng felt a little guilty under her gaze. "Abao, I'm sorry..."
Upon hearing the apology, Xu Rubao was instantly enraged. Without thinking, she slapped him across the face, yelling, "Lu Jingheng, you bastard!"
After saying that, Xu Rubao wanted to leave; at least for now, she didn't want to see him.
Seeing that she was about to leave, Lu Jingheng jumped out of bed and tried to chase after her, but bumped into a chair.
Hearing the noise, Xu Rubao ran to the door and couldn't help but look back.
