Chapter 125 Sister Yan, where is my mommy?

Chapter 125 Sister Yan, where is my mommy?

On the other side, after drinking a glass of juice, Chenchen suddenly felt the urge to urinate. He hurried towards the bathroom, his steps so hurried that he didn't even have time to see the road ahead clearly.

Just when he was about to rush to the bathroom door, he suddenly bumped into a "wall". He covered his forehead which was a little painful from the collision, looked up, and found that it was not a wall at all, but a tall man.

The man was wearing a well-tailored dark suit. He had a stern face and deep features, especially his eyes, which seemed to be able to see through people's hearts.

He looked down at Chenchen, his brows slightly furrowed, and he seemed a little unhappy. However, when he saw Chenchen's face clearly, his expression suddenly froze, and a hint of shock flashed in his eyes.

This little boy actually looked exactly like him when he was little! His eyebrows, nose, and even the way he pursed his lips slightly, all looked like they had walked out of his childhood photos.

Lu Yiran's heart skipped a beat, and an inexplicable sense of familiarity came over him.

"Uncle, I'm sorry I bumped into you."

Chenchen covered his forehead with his hands, his tone carrying a hint of apology, but more of urgency. He really couldn't hold it back any longer, and after saying this, he hurriedly walked around Lu Yiran and rushed into the bathroom.

Lu Yiran stood where he was, his eyes still fixed on the direction where Chenchen disappeared, his heart unable to calm down for a long time.

He had never seen this child before, but that face made him feel an indescribable sense of closeness. He subconsciously raised his hand and touched his face, as if to confirm something.

A few minutes later, Chenchen walked out of the bathroom. He shook the water droplets off his hands and was about to leave, but he caught a glimpse of Lu Yiran still standing at the door, staring at him straight in the eyes.

Chenchen's heart tightened, thinking that this uncle was going to settle the score with him. He suddenly felt guilty. He rolled his eyes, put oil on his feet, turned around and wanted to run.

However, he had just run out two steps when he felt someone grab his collar from behind. Lu Yiran's voice came from behind, with a hint of teasing:

"Little devil, you still want to run?"

Chenchen staggered and almost fell down. After he stood firm, he turned around and raised his little face with an innocent expression:

"Uncle, I've already apologized to you. You're not going to argue with a kid, are you?"

Lu Yiran looked at his little face that looked exactly like his own, and the inexplicable emotion in his heart became stronger and stronger.

He squatted down, looking at Chenchen at eye level, and his tone softened unconsciously:

"May I have your name?"

"My name is Chenchen."

Chenchen blinked and looked at him warily.

"Uncle, you're not going to tell my mom, are you? I really didn't mean it."

When Lu Yiran heard the word "Mom", his heart moved and he subconsciously asked:

"Who is your mother?"

Chenchen frowned, as if he found this question a little strange:

"My mother is my mother, uncle, why are you asking this?"

Lu Yiran chuckled at his answer, but quickly regained his serious expression. He looked at Chenchen carefully, and the more he looked, the more incredible it seemed to him.

Could this child really have something to do with him? However, he had never heard that he had a son.

"What's your mother's name?"

Lu Yiran asked tentatively, with a hint of nervousness in his tone that he himself didn't even notice.

Chenchen tilted his head and thought about it. Just as he was about to answer, he suddenly heard Mu Nanyan's voice coming from not far away:

"Chenchen, where are you?"

When Chenchen heard this, he immediately responded loudly as if he had found a savior:

"I'm here!"

He broke free from Lu Yiran's hand and ran towards the direction of the sound.

Lu Yiran stood up and followed Chenchen's back with his eyes. The inexplicable emotion in his heart became stronger and stronger. He subconsciously took a step and followed. He wanted to know who the mother of this child was.

When he turned the corner and saw Mu Nanyan, he was struck by lightning and stood there in a daze.

"Mu Nanyan?"

He murmured quietly, his voice filled with disbelief.

When Mu Nanyan heard someone calling her name, she raised her head and met Lu Yiran's gaze. Her face turned pale instantly and the bag in her hand almost fell to the ground.

"Lu Yiran?"

Her voice trembled a little, as if she had seen someone she shouldn't have seen.

Chenchen stood between the two of them, looking at Mu Nanyan, then at Lu Yiran, with a bewildered look on his face:

"Sister Yan, do you know each other?"

Mu Nanyan did not answer, her mind was in a mess. She had never thought that she would see Lu Yiran again under such circumstances.

"Sister Yan?"

When Lu Yiran heard this name, his brows furrowed slightly, and a hint of doubt flashed in his eyes. The idea that had just popped into his mind became uncertain at this moment because of Chenchen's address to Mu Nanyan.

He looked down at Chenchen, then looked up at Mu Nanyan, with a hint of probing in his tone:

"Whose child is this?"

His eyes were fixed on Mu Nanyan's face, trying to catch a flaw in her expression, however, Mu Nanyan appeared unusually calm.

She slightly turned sideways, protecting Chenchen behind her, and said calmly:

"My friend's, what's wrong?"

Her voice was steady and her face was expressionless, as if she was simply stating an ordinary fact.

Chenchen stood aside and keenly noticed the subtle atmosphere between the two. He raised his head and looked at Lu Yiran carefully, and suddenly found that this uncle's eyebrows and eyes were somewhat similar to his own.

His heart skipped a beat, vaguely feeling that things were not that simple, but when he saw Mu Nanyan's reaction, he immediately understood something and said obediently:

"Sister Yan, where is my mommy?"

Mu Nanyan looked down at Chenchen, a gentle smile on her lips:

"Your mommy left first because of something, so let me take you back."

Her tone was relaxed and natural, as if everything was under her control.

After she finished speaking, she raised her head and looked at Lu Yiran, her tone distant and polite:

"Mr. Lu, if there's nothing else, we'll leave first."

Her voice was polite and cold, as if the two of them were just strangers who met by chance.

Lu Yiran stood there, watching Mu Nanyan holding Chenchen's hand and turning to leave. The inexplicable emotion in his heart became stronger and stronger. His eyes followed the backs of the two until they disappeared at the end of the corridor, then he slowly withdrew his gaze.

His brows were furrowed, and Chenchen's words "Sister Yan" and Mu Nanyan's calm and almost indifferent expression kept echoing in his mind. He always felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.

That child, that face that was so similar to his own, and Mu Nanyan's deliberately distant attitude, all of this made him feel an indescribable sense of disharmony.

"Mu Nanyan, what are you hiding?"

Lu Yiran murmured softly, with a barely perceptible hint of loss and unwillingness in his voice.

On the other side, Mu Nanyan held Chenchen's hand and hurriedly left the banquet hall. She didn't breathe a sigh of relief until she walked out of the hotel gate.

Chenchen looked up at her and asked in a low voice:

"Sister Yan, who is that uncle? Why does he look like he knows you?"

Mu Nanyan looked down at Chenchen and gently touched his head, her tone gentle but with a hint of complexity:

"Just a friend I haven't seen in a while, nothing special."

Chenchen blinked, as if he wanted to ask something, but when he saw Mu Nanyan's expression, he shut his mouth obediently.

Although he was young, he could feel that the uncle was not just an ordinary friend to Sister Yan.

The night breeze was blowing gently, Mu Nanyan looked up at the night sky in the distance, but her heart was restless.

"Chenchen, let's go home."

She said softly, a hint of fatigue in her tone.

"good."

Chenchen nodded and held Mu Nanyan's hand tightly, as if this could give her some strength.
