Chapter 217 Don’t ruin other people’s good things
"don't want!"
Chu Ci snatched her phone and put it in his suit pocket like a treasure. He tilted his head, his thick eyelashes casting a shadow under the light, and spoke with a strong smell of alcohol:
"Don't even think about... don't even think about escaping... I still have... still have something to ask you..."
Before he could finish his words, he suddenly covered his mouth and his handsome face wrinkled.
Tang Yutong was about to go forward to help when she saw Chu Ci staggering to the corner of the wall and retching into the trash can for a long time, but nothing came out.
"Mr. Chu, are you okay?" Tang Yutong handed over a tissue worriedly.
Chu Ci suddenly stood up, and glanced around the box with a dazed look, finally fixing his eyes on the lush money tree in the corner.
He staggered over and picked up the half-man-high potted plant, scattering dirt all over the ground.
He stared at the emerald green leaves earnestly, his voice aggrieved like an abandoned puppy.
"Can you...can you tell me...what...you like?"
Tang Yutong finally couldn't help but burst out laughing, and hurried forward to support the drunk man:
"Boss Chu, that's a money tree, what could it like?"
Upon hearing this, Chu Ci brought the potted plant closer to his eyes and examined it carefully. The strong smell of alcohol mixed with the unique cold perfume on his body.
Suddenly, he turned his head and gave Tang Yutong an innocent smile. The small mole at the corner of his eye was particularly obvious under the light:
"You're prettier than the money tree..."
As he spoke, he burped a little.
The next second, he rudely put the money tree on the ground and childishly kicked the flowerpot:
"No wonder it's so heavy, you fat guy..."
The flowerpot made a dull "bang" sound, and a few leaves fell pitifully to the ground.
Just when Tang Yutong was at a loss whether to laugh or cry, Chu Ci suddenly fell towards her. She hurriedly caught the 1.80-meter-tall man, and the two of them were instantly very close.
The man's hot breath sprayed on her neck. Through the thin shirt, she could clearly feel his strong chest muscles and strong heartbeat.
"Tang Yutong..."
Chu Ci called her name vaguely, and his warm lips accidentally brushed her earlobe.
"Actually, today... I want to ask you..."
"Ask me what?"
Tang Yutong held her breath, her heart beating like a drum, but the only answer she got was the sound of even breathing. Chu Ci actually fell asleep leaning on her shoulder.
Thick eyelashes cast a shadow under the eyes, and the thin lips that are usually tightly pursed are now slightly open, looking somewhat childish and cute.
Tang Yutong sighed helplessly and carefully adjusted her posture so that his arm rested on her shoulders.
As she helped the unconscious Chu Ci out, she secretly felt lucky that this restaurant was opened by Chu Ci's friend. At least she didn't have to worry about him being seen in this state by outsiders.
When passing by the front desk, Tang Yutong recognized the waiter who had taken the order before.
She supported Chu Ci with difficulty and looked at the waiter for help:
"Hello, do you know Mr. Chu's home address? Or can you help me contact his family?"
The waiter looked back and forth between the two of them. At this moment, Chu Ci leaned on Tang Yutong. His usually meticulous suit jacket was wrinkled on his shoulders, his tie hung loosely around his neck, and his handsome face was flushed unnaturally.
His warm breath sprayed on Tang Yutong's neck, making her shrink her neck unconsciously.
The waiter smiled professionally and looked at Tang Yutong:
"We don't know Mr. Chu's address either. How about I help you contact our boss?"
"Then I'll trouble you."
Tang Yutong breathed a sigh of relief and adjusted her posture to make Chu Ci lean more comfortably.
The waiter walked to the side and dialed the phone. A lazy male voice came from the receiver:
"What's up?"
"Mr. An, Mr. Chu got drunk in the store, and his friend wants to know Mr. Chu's address."
An Jiajun on the other end of the phone suddenly became energetic:
"Friend? Male or female? Is she pretty?"
The waiter stole a glance at Tang Yutong. Under the light, her fair skin glowed with a pearly luster, and her cheeks, slightly flushed from the effort of supporting herself, made her look even more charming.
"Very beautiful." The waiter replied in a low voice.
An Jiajun smiled mischievously: "Could it be his new girlfriend? Don't ruin her happiness. Just say you couldn't contact me and don't know my address."
"Isn't this... not good?"
"Do as I say."
An Jiajun hung up the phone without question.
The waiter returned to Tang Yutong with an apologetic expression:
"Sorry, I couldn't contact the boss..."
The smile on Tang Yutong's lips froze. She looked down at the man leaning on her shoulder. Chu Ci was as quiet as a large dog at this moment. His thick eyelashes cast a shadow under his eyes, which was completely different from his usual nonchalant image.
"Thank you."
She forced a smile and supported Chu Ci as they walked out with difficulty.
When the designated driver saw this scene, an ambiguous look flashed in his eyes.
When he helped stuff Chu Ci into the back seat, he did not forget to look at Tang Yutong a few more times.
In the car, Chu Ci's head unconsciously slid onto Tang Yutong's shoulder. She wanted to push him away, but her heart softened when she saw his defenseless profile while he was sleeping.
The light and shadow of the street lamps flowed across his well-defined face. His thin lips, which were usually tightly pursed, were now slightly open, revealing a bit of childish innocence.
"Master, please go to the nearest five-star hotel."
Tang Yutong sighed. She didn't notice that the look the designated driver gave her through the rearview mirror was even more meaningful.
After arriving at the hotel, the designated driver helped Chu Ci to the lobby and left tactfully.
Tang Yutong struggled to carry the 1.80-meter-tall man to the front desk. Feeling the curious eyes from people around her, she wished she could find a hole in the ground to crawl into.
"A suite, please."
Her voice trembled slightly due to the effort.
The receptionist kept smiling professionally, but her eyes flicked back and forth between the two of them:
"Do you need help? We have wheelchair service available."
"No, thank you."
Tang Yutong answered with gritted teeth, cursing Chu Ci eight hundred times in her heart.
The elevator slowly rose, and the enclosed space was filled with a faint aroma of wine.
Tang Yutong was struggling to support Chu Ci when she suddenly felt the man on her shoulder move. His warm lips accidentally brushed against her sensitive earlobe, and his alcoholic breath sprayed on her neck:
His voice was low and vague, with the sticky feeling that comes from being drunk.
"Yutong...where is this..."
Tang Yutong's whole body stiffened, and the tips of her ears turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye, like a ripe cherry.
She subconsciously shrank her neck, but her dodging action almost caused Chu Ci to slip and fall to the ground.
"Don't move!"
She whispered a warning through gritted teeth, scrambling to hold him back.
