Chapter 379 A Very Cute Rabbit
Lu Yiran and Chenchen walked her all the way to the door of the breakfast shop.
Mu Nanyan wrapped her coat tightly, looked back at the father and son standing under the warm yellow light, waved to them, then turned around and walked quickly into the snowy street outside the door, her figure gradually disappearing into the distance.
Lu Yiran took Chenchen back to the store and sat down by the window again.
The plates on the table haven't been cleared away yet, and snowflakes are flying outside the window, making the world quiet and peaceful.
Chenchen's little face was pressed against the glass again, staring intently at the white world outside that was descending like magic, and he exclaimed in wonderment in a low voice.
Lu Yiran did not disturb him, but just accompanied him quietly. His eyes occasionally swept across the window in the direction where Mu Nanyan left, and then fell back on his son's focused profile.
He picked up the slightly cold coffee and took a sip, his heart filled with an unprecedented peace and satisfaction.
The snow outside the window was still falling slowly, gradually covering the streets, treetops and the roofs of parked cars with a layer of soft white.
The heating in the breakfast shop was turned on very high, and a thin layer of mist condensed on the glass windows.
Chenchen stretched out his little index finger and carefully drew a crooked little sun on the foggy glass. Then he drew a small snowman and muttered to himself in a baby voice:
"When the snow gets thicker, Dad, you have to help me build a bigger one than this one!"
"Okay, make the biggest one."
Lu Yiran agreed with a smile, picked up the napkin and gently wiped away the moisture on his fingertips.
He looked at his son's bright eyes full of expectation, and his heart softened.
This regained intimacy gave him more satisfaction than any victory in a business contract.
He took out his cell phone and calmly adjusted the angle, freezing the focused silhouette of Chenchen leaning against the window with his nose almost touching the glass, as well as the street scene outside the window that was slowly becoming covered in snow.
With a slight movement of his fingertips, the photo was sent to Mu Nanyan who had just left.
Almost at the moment the message was shown as delivered, the top of the dialog box changed to "The other party is typing..."
A few seconds later, Mu Nanyan's reply popped up:
I didn't expect Mr. Lu to be such a good photographer. [Laughing]
Lu Yiran looked at the words on the screen and could even imagine her pursing her lips slightly when she made that smirking expression.
The corners of his lips curled up in a playful arc, and his fingertips tapped the screen lightly:
【The main model follows me, and looks good no matter how you take the photos. 】
After this message was sent, the "typing" prompt on the other side flashed for a long time, obviously choked by his indirect praise of his good genes.
A moment later, new news finally arrived:
[…The point is Chenchen! Xuejing! Who praised you? [Hmph]]
The smile in Lu Yiran's eyes deepened, and he could almost see through the screen her slightly blushing face and forced calmness.
He drank his coffee slowly before continuing to reply:
[Okay. Then when you're free, I'll take photos for you too. Professional photographer, free, lifetime service.]
This message, with its obvious double entendre and unignorable ambiguity, passed through the cold internet and caught the eye of Mu Nanyan, who was peeking at her phone during a break in a meeting.
Mu Nanyan, sitting in front of the phone screen, looked at the words "lifelong service" and her cheeks suddenly felt hot, as if a tiny electric current was running through her fingertips.
This man… How could he be so seductive even through the screen? She subconsciously glanced around, afraid that others would see her strange behavior at the moment. Her finger hovered above the screen, and she didn't know what to say.
Refute him? It seems like I'm being too serious.
Promise him? Wouldn't that be exactly what he wants?
She bit her lower lip and finally sent a harmless emoji:
[…Just focus on taking care of your baby! [rabbit-fur-exploding.jpg]]
Lu Yiran looked at the angry rabbit and could almost hear her embarrassed and angry tone, and laughed softly.
The laughter caused Chenchen next to him to turn his head curiously.
"Dad, what are you laughing at?"
"Laughing..."
Lu Yiran put away his phone, reached out and rubbed his son's hair, and said meaningfully,
"A very cute... rabbit."

As night falls, snowflakes dance gracefully under the streetlights, adding a touch of tranquility to the exotic streetscape.
Mu Nanyan dragged her slightly tired steps back to the hotel room. Before she could put down her bag, there was a brisk knock on the door.
When I opened the door, I saw Lu Yiran standing tall, holding the hand of Chenchen, who was dressed neatly.
When the little guy saw her, his eyes lit up immediately, and he flew over like a happy little bird and hugged her legs:
"Mommy! Daddy said he'd take us out for some delicious food!"
Lu Yiran's eyes swept across her slightly tired eyebrows, and his voice softened unconsciously:
"Are you tired? How about you rest for a while and then we go later?"
Mu Nanyan was indeed a little tired.
After a busy day, her makeup had faded a little, and she subconsciously wanted to touch up her makeup before going out.
She stepped aside and said, "Come in first."
Chenchen cheered and ran in as if he knew the way.
Mu Nanyan turned to look at Lu Yiran and smiled at him.
Lu Yiran hadn't seen her for almost a day. Seeing the weariness in her eyes, he felt his heart tighten slightly.
He took a step forward, taking advantage of his height, and whispered in her ear:
"Have you been so busy with work lately? Wait until this project is over and take a good rest. I can support you."
His voice was low and full of unquestionable confidence.
Mu Nanyan was startled when she heard this, then burst into laughter and deliberately joked in a light-hearted tone:
"Of course I know Mr. Lu's wealth. It's definitely more than enough to support me."
She changed the subject, her eyes revealing independence and determination.
"But I like my job, so no matter how hard it is, I think it's worth it."
"Then don't push yourself too hard."
There was a hint of helplessness and heartache in Lu Yiran's voice. He raised his hand and rubbed the top of her head very naturally, his movements so gentle as if he was coaxing Chenchen.
His sudden, doting gesture softened Mu Nanyan's heart.
After working alone for so many years, she has long been accustomed to carrying all the pressure on her shoulders.
Only she knows the hard work and difficulties she went through in building up the fame of "Grace" from scratch.
It’s not that she hasn’t thought about relying on others, but her long period of independence has made her accustomed to relying on herself for everything.
Even though the person standing in front of her at this moment was Lu Yiran, the lover she decided to accept again, and Chenchen's father, the inertia deeply rooted in her heart still existed.
Lu Yiran followed her into the room, and every detail of what happened here last night came to his mind uncontrollably. When his eyes fell on Mu Nanyan again, they couldn't help but become profound and passionate.
"You two, please do as you please. I'm going to go change my clothes."
Mu Nanyan felt his gaze on her, her cheeks slightly hot, and she hurriedly said something before turning into the bedroom and closing the door.
Lu Yiran sat down on the sofa in the living room and waited quietly.
His eyes casually swept across the slightly cramped living room.
This is the hotel's business suite, which is spacious enough for Mu Nanyan alone, but at this moment, with his tall figure in it, he inexplicably felt that the space was a bit cramped.
Lu Yiran thought of the presidential suite on the top floor, which was equipped with multiple rooms and had a wide view, and an idea became clearer in his mind.
He really didn't want her to be squeezed into this small space.
However, he knew Mu Nanyan's independent personality very well. If he directly asked her to move in, she would most likely refuse on the grounds that it was "too troublesome" or "unnecessary."
His fingertips tapped lightly on his knees, and then his gaze slowly fell on Chenchen, who was swinging his short legs and playing with his fingers beside him.
A barely perceptible smile crossed the corner of Lu Yiran's mouth.
It seems that he has to "trouble" his good son again.
He leaned forward, his tone so gentle it was almost coaxing:
"Chenchen, Daddy wants to ask you, did you like the big room you and Daddy stayed in last night? The one with the soft sofa and the view far, far away?"
Chenchen immediately raised his head, his big eyes sparkling, and nodded vigorously:
"I like it! The house is so big! The windows are so big too! I can see the scenery outside at a glance! But..."
His face suddenly fell a little, and he added with a bit of grievance,
"But when I woke up this morning, I searched several rooms but couldn't find Dad..."
The little guy's unintentional complaint was a godsend.
Lu Yiran was satisfied, but his face showed just the right amount of heartache and self-blame. He touched Chenchen's head:
"It's Daddy's fault. So... Chenchen, do you want to live in that big house with Daddy and Mommy? That way, when you wake up in the morning, you can see Daddy and Mommy at the same time. You'll definitely never get lost, okay?"
He deliberately pronounced the words "with Daddy and Mommy" very clearly, painting a beautiful picture that was irresistible to Chenchen.
Sure enough, Chenchen's eyes lit up like stars, and he almost jumped up from the sofa in excitement:
"Yes! I want to live in a big house with Mommy and Daddy!"
He turned his head and looked anxiously at the closed door of the bedroom, his voice rising a few pitches:
"Mommy! Mommy! Can we go live in that super big house with Daddy? It's so beautiful there!"
Mu Nanyan, who had just changed her clothes and was about to touch up her makeup, was startled by her son's sudden loud shout outside the door.
She opened the door and looked doubtfully at her excited son and Lu Yiran, who was standing beside her with an expression that was exceptionally "sincere" and "innocent".
"What's wrong?" she asked.
Lu Yiran immediately stood up, his tone as natural as if he was just stating an objective fact, and even with a hint of sincere suggestions for solving practical problems:
"Chenchen doesn't seem to be used to sleeping alone in the second bedroom. He's a little scared when he wakes up in the morning. The penthouse suite is much more spacious, with an extra bedroom and a living room for him to move around. Most importantly, we're all by his side, so he'll feel more secure. What do you think?"
He looked at Mu Nanyan with a frank look in his eyes, and his reasons were so sufficient that it was difficult to refute.
He cleverly hid his thoughts under the justification of "for the good of the child" and even seemingly put the final decision in her hands.
Chenchen also cooperated very well and ran over to hug Mu Nanyan's legs, tilting his little face up and begging in a baby voice:
"Mommy, let's go! I want to live with Mommy and Daddy!"
Mu Nanyan looked at her son with longing eyes at her feet, and glanced at Lu Yiran next to her who looked like "I'll do as you say, I'm just making a suggestion". She always felt that something was wrong, but the father and son were in unison, and their reasons were so sufficient and impeccable that she couldn't find an excuse to refuse.
Mu Nanyan sighed softly, her tone carrying a hint of helplessness, yet also a subtle hint of indulgence:
"Okay, okay, I'll listen to you."
"Yeah! Mommy is the best!"
Chenchen cheered immediately, a big smile blooming on his little face.
A hint of joy flashed across Lu Yiran's eyes, a hint of success, but his face remained reliable and considerate.
"Then you can take a rest first, or put on some makeup, there's no rush. Leave small matters like moving to Chenchen and me."
He spoke easily and naturally, as if he was just helping her move a box of fruit.
Mu Nanyan nodded, turned around and went back to the bedroom, closing the door.
She sat in front of the dressing table, opened the exquisite makeup bag, and began to touch up her makeup carefully. She could vaguely hear some slight noises coming from outside the door, and thought it was Lu Yiran playing with Chenchen.
However, she greatly underestimated the "execution ability" of the man outside the door.
Lu Yiran made a "keep your voice down" gesture to Chenchen, then pushed open the bedroom door and walked in very naturally. Mu Nanyan was concentrating on drawing eyeliner in front of the mirror. She just glanced at him in the mirror and didn't think much about it.
Lu Yiran walked towards the wardrobe with a clear purpose, opened it, and skillfully took down several coats and business suits that were hanging there and hung them on his arms.
Then he opened her suitcase with ease and laid it flat on the ground, and began to put her underwear folded on the bedside table, her home clothes on the back of the chair, and her laptop, documents and skin care products on the desk into the box one by one.
His movements were quick and orderly, without any hesitation, as if he had planned everything in advance.
But in just ten minutes, when Mu Nanyan carefully applied her lipstick and looked at herself in the mirror with satisfaction, she suddenly felt...wasn't this room a little too quiet? And...she subconsciously looked around and always felt that something was a little empty.
She stood up and opened the bedroom door, and the scene before her completely stunned her.
In the living room, Chenchen was sitting obediently on the sofa, but the suitcase that was originally placed next to the bedroom wardrobe was gone, and the pair of slippers she often wore were no longer in the entrance hall.
At this moment, Lu Yiran walked in from the door of the suite, his breathing steady, holding only the car keys in his hand, as if he had just gone out to take a breath.
He met her puzzled gaze and explained with a smile:
"Everything has been moved. Chenchen is anxious to take you upstairs to see the new room."
Mu Nanyan was speechless for a moment and walked back to the bedroom in disbelief. Sure enough, the wardrobe was empty, the bedside table was empty, and not even a charger was left for her.
Only the makeup bag she had just been using was still lying alone on the dressing table.
