Chapter 40 Their Marriage is a Fake
"I came back yesterday afternoon and went straight to the hospital to see my mom. She said you were married, so I wanted to go see what she looked like. I didn't expect her to just chase me away and say some nasty things."
Xu Nanxing gave a brief account of what happened. When she mentioned Mu Nanyan, she didn't know how to describe her, but Lu Yiran understood.
"What did she say about you?"

Lu Yiran didn't expect that Mu Nanyan would be so disrespectful to him that she actually drove Nanxing out and said such ugly words. Could it be that she really regarded herself as the mistress of Yujing Tiancheng?
"Nanxing, my marriage to her is fake, so you don't have to worry about her. She is not as important to me as you."
"Is your marriage a fake one?"
When Xu Nanxing heard the news, her tears stopped instantly, and stars appeared in her eyes. She seemed to have hope again.

"Why are you back again?"
Mu Nanyan was a little surprised to see Xu Nanxing. Didn't she leave? Why did she come back again? Wasn't she angry enough with her?
"Mu Nanyan, I know everything about you and Brother Yiran. Stop pretending. Brother Yiran doesn't like you at all."
"Did he tell you?"
"Of course."
Xu Nanxing was quite proud when she said this. Mu Nanyan hadn't expected Lu Yiran to actually tell her. Didn't they say they were secretly married before? After all this time, it was just Mu Nanyan who couldn't tell? And he, Lu Yiran, could tell anyone he wanted?
"So what if you know? Do you want to eat? Ask the butler to bring another set of bowls and chopsticks."
When the housekeeper heard this, he went straight to the kitchen. He had wanted to slip away a long time ago because he was afraid of hurting innocent people. Xu Nanxing got angry when she saw her acting like a hostess.
"Why are you pretending with me? You kicked me out before, but now you invite me to dinner. Do you think you are the mistress of this house? I'm telling you, Brother Yiran told me that he will divorce you sooner or later. You are just a tenant."
Mu Nanyan didn't react when she heard her words. After all, she was just staying here temporarily. But when she thought about what Lu Yiran had told her, she felt a little uncomfortable. When she first came here, Lu Yiran could make the housekeeper and servants treat her very well, treating her as the mistress of the place. But once Xu Nanxing showed up, her status became dispensable. It was really true that those who were loved had nothing to fear, so Xu Nanxing dared to say that. "I know. I don't need you to remind me."

Mu Nanyan suddenly lost her appetite. Her nose felt sore and tears welled up in her eyes, but she held it back. She didn't want to cry in front of Xu Nanxing. She pretended to be calm and said
"You eat, I'm full, I'll go upstairs first."
After saying that, Mu Nanyan walked straight towards the stairs. As soon as she turned her back to Xu Nanxing, tears burst out of her eyes and she went upstairs alone in silence.
When Xu Nanxing saw her back, she felt that she had let out a sigh of relief. Finally, she was no longer speechless after being criticized by Mu Nanyue. She was secretly happy.
When the housekeeper came out of the kitchen, he saw that only Xu Nanxing was left at the table. The dishes on the table were basically untouched. He placed the bowl and chopsticks where Xu Nanxing was sitting and asked:
"Miss Xu, where is the young mistress?"
Xu Nanxing was annoyed when he heard him call her "Young Madam" and said directly:
"Don't call her Young Madam in the future. What kind of Young Madam is she? Brother Yiran will divorce her sooner or later. If you call her like this now, Brother Yiran's wife will be so upset when she finds out."
The housekeeper saw that Mu Nanyan must have been angered by Xu Nanxing and left. He felt that the situation in the mansion was about to change, so he could only respond:
"Got it. From now on, we'll call her Miss Mu."
"Well, that's about right."
After Xu Nanxing finished speaking, he started to eat dinner. His mood was not affected at all by what happened just now. Instead, his appetite was particularly good today and he even ate half a bowl of rice more.
