After several years in the Flower Moon House, Gu Shiyue had met all sorts of people. She thought her life would just go on like this, one of debauchery, addiction, and indulgence in sensual pleasures.

But then she met Zhang Chenglin, the notorious "son of a condemned official" who everyone reviled. The two parallel lines, each in their own world, intersected inadvertently, creating another untold story.

Zhang Chenglin said he lived his life solely for revolution and country. But later he met Gu Shiyue, the woman he merely called "Feng Yue." Thus, his monotonous, colorless life gained a stroke of rich, vibrant color.

Yet, some encounters are destined for missed connections, just like this fleeting Republican era, just like the unspoken understanding between you and me. Gu Shiyue remained at the Flower Moon House her entire life, her first half dedicated to survival and her latter half to the man who never returned.
