Call him "Dad" again?
Upon hearing Yiming's address, Luo Tianhe looked at him with great surprise.
“Yiming, your mother said you call people ‘father’ randomly. At first, your grandfather didn’t believe it, but now he does. This is not something to joke about.”
"Grandpa, I'm not kidding. Don't you think he looks a lot like me? Look at his eyes..."
After being reminded by Yi Ming, Luo Tianhe turned to look at Leng Chuchen, then frowned deeply.
He noticed that Yiming's features did indeed bear a resemblance to this young master surnamed Chu.
He frowned slightly, as if he had thought of something, and tentatively asked:
"Young Master Chu, have you been to Phoenix City before?"
Leng Chuchen nodded without hesitation.
"Passing by, never staying."
"That……"
He wanted to ask if he had done anything he shouldn't have, but the words caught in his throat.
He had to preserve his girl's dignity.
Just as Yiming was still clinging to Leng Chuchen, Luo Tianhe stepped forward and pulled him up.
"Go back with Grandpa, your mother will be unhappy if she finds out."
Leng Chuchen was a little surprised by Luo Tianhe's sudden change, but it was also reasonable, since they weren't familiar with each other.
After Luo Tianhe and Jiawang's mother left with Yiming, Liping served him the noodles that Jiawang's mother had made.
"Young master, please have some!"
He looked at the bowl of noodles, frowned, nodded, and then gave the order:
"Let's go find a yard and move out."
Li Ping looked at him, puzzled.
"Why? Didn't Uncle Luo tell us we could stay anywhere?"
He looked up at him coldly, "Do you like the feeling of being dependent on others?"
Li Ping hesitated for a moment, then quickly nodded.
"Understood, I'll go out and look for a place to live in a bit."
Their master has been pampered since childhood; when has he ever suffered the injustice of staying with someone else?
Besides, they were only injured, not penniless, so there's no need for them to be a nuisance here.
After leaving the pharmacy, Luo Tianhe's face remained grim as he walked towards the backyard.
Jiawang's mother couldn't help but step forward and ask,
"What happened to you just now? Why did your expression suddenly change?"
"nothing."
He couldn't voice his guess.
"Why did you look like that? Your face was so cold you could squeeze water out of it."
Luo Tianhe frowned, glanced at her sideways, and said to her as they reached the backyard:
"Call Zhiwan to my room. I have something to say to her."
"What are you saying? Why are you being so mysterious?"
Luo Tianhe didn't respond to her. Instead, he put his hands behind his back, strode towards his room.
As dusk approached, Zhiwan was preparing to make her bed when her mother knocked on the door.
"Zhiwan, your father wants you to go over there."
Why is Dad calling her so late?
"Okay, coming right away."
Her father must have something to say about calling her so late at night.
She dared not delay, and quickly went out the door, heading straight for her father's room.
Ever since Yiming grew up, his mother has lived with him in a small house next to his father's. She would come back after Yiming fell asleep.
So at this moment, Mother took Yiming to bed, and Luo Tianhe was sitting in the room waiting for her.
"Father, you called me."
Luo Tianhe looked up at her, then nodded solemnly.
"Yes, sit down, Dad has something to tell you."
It had been a long time since her father had spoken to her in such a serious tone. She swallowed nervously and sat down opposite him.
Luo Tianhe had a cold face, looking like he wanted to say something but couldn't.
"Dad, what's wrong with you today?"
"Zhiwan, tell your father, do you know that young master surnamed Chu?"
"Young Master Chu? Which one?"
"It's the one who was injured outside."
It turns out his surname is Chu; she didn't even know that.
She quickly shook her head in denial.
"I don't recognize him."
"You really don't recognize me?"
Clearly, Luo Tianhe did not believe her.
"Father, why do you ask that?"
Zhiwan nervously fidgeted with her fingers. Had her father discovered something?
Luo Tianhe let out a soft sigh, frowned, and whispered,
"Then why does Yiming look so much like him? Besides, he's been to Phoenix City before. Think about it carefully..."
Her father's words made her swallow hard; it turned out that her father had already begun to have doubts.
It's not surprising that Dad was suspicious. That brat Yiming calls everyone "Dad" as soon as he sees them, and their eyebrows and expressions really do look somewhat similar.
"Dad, there are many people who look alike, don't overthink it."
"You really don't recognize him?"
She quickly shook her head in denial.
"I don't recognize him. If I did, I would have taken him to the authorities long ago."
She touched her nose guiltily and continued:
"Besides, if he really was the one who bullied me, how could I not recognize him?"
Luo Tianhe seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.
“You’re right. I was just thinking that if he really was the one who bullied you back then, I would definitely take him to the authorities and let the city lord do the right thing for you and punish him properly.”
At this point, he clenched his fists, looking resentful.
Zhiwan knew that her father actually felt sorry for her.
Over the years, because of this man, she has suffered countless scornful looks from others. Not only does her father hate him, but she hates him too.
But she couldn't tell her father that the man surnamed Chu was the one who bullied her; she absolutely couldn't let anyone else know about this.
At this moment, Jiawang's mother came out from inside and stepped forward in surprise, asking:
"What are you two talking about?"
Zhiwan looked up at her.
"Mother, is Yiming asleep?"
"He's asleep. I don't know what's wrong with this child. He hasn't been sleeping well these past two days. I'll sleep with him tonight."
