Yiming turned his face away, not wanting to answer her.
Seeing this, she angrily raised her hand, gripped his chin tightly, and reminded him through gritted teeth.
"You're not allowed to call him 'Dad' anymore, understand? Otherwise, you'll lose your head sooner or later."
Just then, Leng Chuchen came out of the courtyard. When he saw this scene, he rushed over angrily and roared.
"Stop it, all of you."
His voice carried a chilling undercurrent that left no room for argument. The two guards holding Yiming's arms recoiled in fear, and Yue Xiaoyue also withdrew her hand, then looked at Leng Chuchen with a sweet, coquettish expression.
“Brother Chen, this child wants to find his father, and he insists on coming to our house. I think he’s just trying to extort money from us.”
Yiming, however, huffed and puffed, then ran to Leng Chuchen's side, grabbed his hand, and looked at him with a pitiful expression.
"Dad, she bullied me, and she even let them all bully me. If you hadn't come, she would have strangled me."
Hearing that the child actually called Leng Chuchen "Dad," Yue Xiaoyue's eyes widened like saucers.
She pointed at him, and asked in horror:
"Brother Chen, why is he calling you 'Dad'? You have to give me an explanation."
Leng Chuchen's eyes darkened for a moment, then she looked at the two gatekeepers and angrily rebuked them:
"He's just a child, how could you be so heartless as to lay a hand on him? From now on, if he comes to me, you're not allowed to stop him, understand?"
The two gatekeepers quickly lowered their heads and nodded in agreement.
He then looked at Yue Xiaoyue.
"His name is Yiming. He feels that we are destined to meet, so he likes to call me Dad. That's all."
