Shang Ning tiptoed back inside, where the people were already taking a shower.
"They're really your fans! How did they know you lived here?" Shang Ning sat down on the edge of the bed, still feeling that this circle was too crazy.
"With money, you can buy any kind of information." Jin Yining said nonchalantly, which showed that this was not the first time he had experienced this. "I'll talk to the hotel tomorrow and tell them to pay attention to this issue."
"You encounter this situation often?" Shang Ning found it amazing.
"Sometimes I encounter this when I'm returning to the hotel from the film set late at night, sometimes I hear knocking on the door while I'm sleeping, and sometimes they're just waiting right outside my room."
Shang Ning glanced outside again, still finding it unbelievable. Before, she had only encountered keyboard warriors, those trolls who trampled on human decency online.
"Don't they work or go to school?" Shang Ning said, still looking outside. This was no longer something that could be done by sitting in front of a computer or holding a mobile phone; it was about experiencing real life.
After taking a shower, Jin Yining changed into her pajamas and dried her hair with a towel. "The essence of humanity is to explore things that interest us. Isn't that what Mrs. Jin said? And celebrities are just packaged products."
Shang Ning looked at Jin Yining, who was sitting on the edge of the bed drying her hair, and hooked her ring finger around her beauty mark. "You also agree that celebrities are commodities?"
"It's not about recognition, but a necessary stage to go through. From a newcomer to a popular star, to a powerful actor, and finally to an artist, it's a process. Whether a star is a commodity depends on your own perspective. If you treat yourself as a commodity and package yourself as such, then you are a commodity. But if you have a clear goal and treat acting as a job, like an ordinary employee at a company working 9 to 5, or a university professor, then what do those who watch the product have to do with you? When the director yells 'action,' I start work; when the director yells 'cut,' I leave work."
Shang Ning leaned against the bathroom door, looking at the person sitting by the bed. She felt that Jin Yining was not the kind of popular celebrity she had imagined. He knew a lot. She had discovered this during the competition. He could explain any kind of knowledge in a reasonable way. This was not something that could be learned by reading a few books.
Shang Ning had no doubt that he could win the crown on that international stage.
"Teacher Jin is so learned and talented, how did you come up with the idea of becoming an actor?" Shang Ning watched as Jin Yining put the towel aside, reached out and took the glasses and put them on. It has to be said that Jin Yining is the epitome of a refined scoundrel.
Jin Yining paused in putting on his glasses, then chuckled. But Shang Ning wondered what the bitterness in that chuckle meant.
“A long time ago, I went to ask someone for an autograph, and she said, ‘Who is Jin Yining? I don’t know her.’”
"She doesn't even recognize Teacher Jin, she has no taste. She must be regretting it now." Shang Ning clicked her tongue.
"Really? Did she regret it?" Jin Yining looked up at Shang Ning. "Maybe. I heard from her friends that she liked me a lot when she was alive."
Shang Ning: "..."
Before his death?
People who like Teacher Jin are truly exceptional!
"So Teacher Jin became a celebrity because of this? You've got quite a temper." Shang Ning scoffed, glancing outside the door, wondering if those people had left.
