Jin Yining sent a message on her phone, then asked the driver to go to the club first, as there was one more thing to take care of before going home.
Shang Ning looked at Jin Yining with curiosity. What kind of place is this club?
“If you’re not willing to be honest, I didn’t want you involved in this matter in the first place,” Jin Yining said, looking at Shang Ning.
Shang Ning listened to Jin Yining's words and knew what he meant by "frankness," "Xia You."
Jin Yining nodded, "You might understand better if you asked yourself."
Shang Ning bit her lip slightly and lowered her eyes; she did indeed have many questions she wanted to ask.
When the car arrived at the club, Shang Ning looked outside. The place looked familiar. After thinking for a moment, she realized that this was the club where Jin Yining and Qin Wei had gone on a date before.
The car stopped in the parking lot, and Jin Yining led Shang Ning out of the car, into the elevator, and pressed the button for the top floor.
"Xia You is here?" Shang Ning thought this place was just a place for people to have fun.
Jin Yining did not respond. When they reached the top floor, he led her out and gestured for her to go into a room. "She's inside."
With a puzzled look, Shang Ning looked away from Jin Yining's face and then walked in when the door opened.
As soon as Shang Ning entered, he saw Xia You squatting in the corner. The room was small and empty.
Hearing the sound, Xia You, who was in the corner, suddenly turned around and looked over. Upon seeing Shang Ning, she pounced on him like a wild dog that had been provoked.
Shang Ning dodged to the side.
The door was now closed. Chen Yiyang walked behind Jin Yining and looked inside through the window. "What does this mean?"
Jin Yining gestured for her to wait and see; didn't they suspect he was crazy?
After Shang Ning dodged, Xia You tried to grab her again, but Shang Ning pinned her against the wall and said in a deep voice, "That's enough."
"Why aren't you dead yet?" Xia You was pressed against the wall, cursing with a ferocious expression.
"Why do you hate me so much? I don't think I've ever known you before, and we've never had any interaction. Just because He Zhiyan helped me, you want to kill me?" Shang Ning released the person and threw him aside.
Xia You stumbled a few times, thrown around awkwardly, but after regaining her balance, she turned back to face her with her claws still bared, "Who told you to imitate that woman? You deserve to die for imitating her, and you deserve to die even more for imitating that woman to seduce He Zhiyan."
Hearing the name "that woman," Shang Ning felt a sharp, aching pain in her heart, as if someone had grabbed her hand tightly.
"Xia You, you know better than anyone how she has treated you since you were little. Just for He Zhiyan, you want to kill her?" Shang Ning questioned, biting her lower lip until it ached, but she couldn't hide her heartache.
"How have you treated me?" Xia You suddenly laughed, a maniacal laugh. "What do you know? You know nothing. It's as if my existence was solely to highlight that woman. She's better than me in everything, better than me in everything. Everyone I care about likes her. Do you really think she considers me a friend? She's just trying to satisfy her vanity. Because without me, who can she compare herself to? How can she experience the joy of being superior? What kind of scientist is she? What kind of genius? She's just an utterly hypocritical slut." The louder Xia You spoke, the more her emotions completely collapsed.
Shang Ning felt as if her sharp words were a series of swords piercing her heart.
The pain was so intense that it was almost impossible to stand up straight.
