"Yi Ning, are you done with your work?" Lian Jingyan came in with a water glass, looked at her son who was rubbing his forehead, and placed the water glass on his table. "Take a break first."
"Mom, I'm fine." Jin Yining reached out and held her mother's hand. "Mom, I probably won't be able to spend the New Year with you this year."
"Go find her?" Lian Jingyan chuckled softly. "It's alright, go ahead. Your father just asked me to go to the military base to spend the New Year with him. You two have your own lives, and your father and I have ours too."
"Thank you, Mom."
Lian Jingyan patted his hand, telling him to go to sleep early.
"Mom," Jin Yining said again, getting up and going to the door. "I might be gone for a while this time, and the news lately has been a bit nasty, so please don't worry about it."
“I know my child better than anyone else, so why should I care what others say? Since I know it’s false, I won’t care.” Lian Jingyan raised her hand and touched her son’s face. “Go do what you want to do.”
Jin Yining is able to do whatever he wants without any worries now because of his mother's education and support. He considers himself luckier than others, and because of this, he understands even more how heavy the burden on his shoulders is.
He wanted to protect the happiness of more people.
The next day, Shang Ning led a team to the laboratory to start a new experiment. Yan Yan followed them into the laboratory this time. Liu Cheng looked at her, shook his head helplessly, and continued with his own work. Jing Kun was talking to Shang Ning about the new experimental data.
Yan Yan looked at the busy people over there and bit her lip slightly.
She looked down on Ning Kong, who was parachuted in, especially since it was said that Snow Wolf had personally provided her with a laboratory.
