It fell silent over there; no sound came out for a long time.
Jin Yining hung up the phone immediately.
Shang Ning poked his head out of the study, clearly having heard the phone ring. "Who is it?"
She was just asking who it was, not caring that Jin Yining answered her call.
After all, there was nothing between them to hide.
"Trying to sell loans, want one?"
Shang Ning: "Ask her how much it would cost to take out a loan to buy the Earth."
As Shang Ning spoke, he returned to his study to continue his own business.
Jin Yining clicked his tongue. "He's not that big of a person, but he's got quite the ambition. He wants to buy an Earth. Why doesn't he think about buying the universe?"
Jin Yining checked the time, confirmed the current progress with Chen Dongyang, listened to Chen Dongyang's next plan, and, finding no problems, let Chen Dongyang do it.
After ending the call, Jin Yining went to the study. "Professor Shang, would you do me the honor of going grocery shopping together?"
"Buying groceries?" Shang Ning looked up at Jin Yining from the simulator. "Does Teacher Jin think I look like a vegetable vendor? I've never bought groceries in my life!"
Jin Yining pulled the person up, "So, Professor Shang, come down to earth and experience the flavor of human life."
Shang Ning used to eat in the school cafeteria, and the only thing he could cook afterward was boiled food, such as eggs and noodles.
She had often heard about buying groceries, but had never actually done it.
Shang Ning exclaimed in surprise, then was dragged out by Jin Yining. "What are you doing out here, you big movie star? Aren't you afraid of causing traffic jams?"
Shang Ning really didn't want to go; she felt it wasn't worth descending to the mortal realm for this.
Jin Yining took out a mask and a hat and said, "Watch less TV. Do celebrities look like they're in an airport no matter where they go? How can celebrities live a normal life?"
Shang Ning slightly pursed her lips, "That only proves that you're not famous."
Jin Yining smacked his lips and watched Shang Ning reluctantly change his shoes. "Let me do the math for you. I have 50 million fans. If we remove the inflated numbers and say each one has 20 million, then there are over a billion people in China. That means roughly one in a hundred people is one of my fans. If a supermarket can hold 1,000 people, it might only have 10 of my fans at most. It's really not enough to create a situation where they surround me."
After listening to this series of data analyses, Shang Ning thought about it and realized that it made sense.
“Unless it’s discovered by fans and shared with other fans, but that’s rare. Everyone understands that we should respect each other in private.” Jin Yining said, helping her put her hat on. “Celebrities are normal people too.”
The two went outside, and the door opposite them opened at that moment.
He Zhiyan was carrying trash in his hand, so he was probably going out to throw it away.
Jin Yining saw He Zhiyan, but his expression remained unchanged. He simply nodded slightly and then prepared to leave with Shang Ning.
Shang Ning glanced at He Zhiyan, then at Jin Yining. Neither of them had any expression. Why did he feel like he was the one who felt guilty?
"Going to throw out the trash? I'll go down and take it with me." Shang Ning said, reaching out to take the trash before going downstairs with Jin Yining.
He Zhiyan only had time to nod before Shang Ning had already pulled Jin Yining downstairs.
It's a habit I've always had; I would knock on the door when I went to throw out the trash and ask if there was anything I needed to take down.
Shang Ning took the trash downstairs, sorted it, and put it in the trash can. When she turned around, Jin Yining was looking at her. "What's wrong? Let's go."
Jin Yining wanted to say something, but swallowed the words back and turned to walk towards the car.
