Chapter 416 Going to the Barren Mountains

After finishing his game, Qin Wei put his phone away and then said, "I've read through all the files from back then. The Ning family never appeared in any of them, not even in this form. But what's strange is that the place where the fire in Fangshan was said to have been seen was that barren mountain that no one owned."

Jin Yining remembered the fire in the dossier; it was the first time the Long family had appeared in City A, and it was also the beginning of Chu Ningyi's dismantling of the Long family.

This wasn't the first time he'd heard of a barren mountain without ownership; the last time was because the Lingguang Stone in Xia Tian's possession originated from that barren mountain.

This is the second time this has happened.

A desolate mountain without an owner.

"Go over there today and see what that barren mountain is used for." Jin Yining checked the time, feeling that this barren mountain was of great importance. "By the way, contact Xia Tian; she should be familiar with that place."

Qin Wei originally wanted to say that he had something to do and asked Chen Dongyang to come over, but after hearing the last sentence, he turned his phone around and thought that this was something he could consider.

"I'm leaving." Qin Wei said, getting up and leaving. The woman said she'd be back today; he wondered if she was back yet.

Jin Yining looked at the person leaving and shook his head slightly. With his current attitude, he was bound to get into trouble sooner or later.

Summer had just returned, and before she even got home, she was kidnapped and put in a car, where the driver drove off without saying a word.

summer:"……"

They stared at the man driving as if he were a lunatic, but upon closer inspection, they realized that the man was indeed a lunatic.

"Come with me somewhere," Qin Wei said, glancing at the impatient Xia Tian. "What kind of attitude is this? Even if someone else asks me to pick them up, I won't."

"Then thank you for dropping me off at the next intersection." Xia Tian chuckled, as if she wanted this person to pick her up.

Qin Wei choked for a moment, raised his hand but couldn't say a word for a long time.

The young master, who was always fawned over by his fans, refused to believe that he could keep falling for her.

When the car arrived at the desolate mountain, Qin Wei opened the car door and got out, looking at the surrounding environment.

Because it was winter, everything was desolate.

Xia Tian got off the bus, squinting slightly. He thought Xia Tian was still there for the stone. "That kind of stone is hard to come by. If it existed, he would have found a second one long ago."

Qin Wei glanced back at her, then started climbing the mountain, saying, "I'm not looking for stones."

Summer suppressed her anger and looked at the people coming up the mountain. "What are you doing here if you're not looking for stones?"

But after holding it in for a long time, she still managed to hold back.

In reality, a barren mountain is just a barren mountain; apart from a few people at the foot of the mountain, there's nothing else there.

The barren mountain wasn't particularly high; it only took a little over an hour to climb up. It was a nice place, and you could see half of City A's night view from a short distance away.

It's a nice place, but unfortunately it's unclaimed.

"You grew up in City A. Let me ask you a question: do you know this place?" Qin Wei turned to look at Xia Tian. He and Jin Yining's family had only moved here a few years ago and didn't really know much about City A.

"I don't know. This place is so remote, who would come here for no reason?" Xia Tian was telling the truth. Even though she grew up in City A, she had never been to this place much. Even when she went hiking, she would only go to the kind of mountain that required a ticket.

People generally don't care about things that are neither too high nor too low.

Qin Wei clicked his tongue, took a few photos on the mountaintop, and then headed down the mountain.

On the way, they encountered an old farmer digging for wild mushrooms. Qin Wei gestured for Xia Tian to go over and ask him. Xia Tian glared at him and asked, "What do you want to ask?"

How did she know what to ask?
