Xia Tian made a phone call, frowned, and said, "Are you sure you're not mistaken? It's not in this drawer."
"That's impossible. I put that part in that drawer right after I finished it last time." Shang Ning remembered this clearly; there was no way she could have misremembered it.
Xia Tian searched several other drawers but couldn't find it. However, when she looked down, she saw it on the floor. "Found it, it fell on the floor." Xia Tian said, squatting down to pick up the USB drive. But as she was about to stand up, she caught a glimpse of a foot behind the curtain. Xia Tian paused for a moment, then stood up calmly. "I guess you didn't put it away properly and dropped it on the floor. Found it."
As Xia Tian spoke, she closed the drawer, then naturally got up and walked out. "I'll send it to the film crew this afternoon. Is there anything else you need?"
Film crew?
Wasn't this the school we agreed on this morning?
Shang Ning paused for a moment before replying, "That's all, this is fine. There's a supermarket downstairs, and they have a kind of jam that I really like. If you have time, could you go there and buy some of that jam for me and send it over?"
"Okay." Xia Tian said, closed the door and went out. After entering the elevator, she looked down at her phone and sent a message while talking to Shang Ning.
Qin Wei was conducting an interview when he received the message. Yang Ge handed him the phone, and Qin Wei only glanced at it before interrupting the interview, grabbing his coat, and leaving.
Shang Ning didn't dare hang up the phone. There weren't many people in the supermarket at the moment, so Xia Tian kept wandering around in the more crowded areas, waiting for Qin Wei to come over.
Although we don't know who they are, anyone who dares to come to Jin Yining's house is definitely not a simple person.
When Qin Wei arrived, Xia Tian was still choosing jam. Wearing a mask, he went over, stopped her, paid the bill, and left.
Xia Tian breathed a sigh of relief after the people following behind him left the car, and looked at Qin Wei, saying, "Thanks."
"Who goes there?" Qin Wei started the car and asked.
"I don't know. Shang Ning asked me to get something. This person was at Teacher Jin's house. I felt like he followed me when I went downstairs," Xia Tian said, glancing in the rearview mirror.
"The person left and didn't come out." Qin Wei frowned as he thought about it. Who would go to Jin Yining's house at this time of year for no reason? And what could be so interesting to look for in Jin Yining's house?
"What did Shang Ning ask you to get?"
"It's nothing," Xia Tian said, telling Shang Ning that everything was fine and that he had already left, and those people shouldn't follow him.
Shang Ning was relieved to know that she was alright, but she had to tell Jin Yining that their house had been broken into.
To be honest, there's really nothing worth stealing from Jin Yining's house; the only thing that's really poor is the high property management fees.
They couldn't take the renovations with them, and it's a fact that there wasn't a single penny left in the house, so they definitely weren't there to steal anything.
When Jin Yining returned from the play, Shang Ning went out to greet her and pulled her inside, saying, "I have something to tell you."
Jin Yining shielded her and closed the door to keep out the wind, then hummed in response, "What?"
"A thief broke into the house."
Jin Yining paused for a moment while changing her shoes, then led her inside after she finished. "What do you mean by 'a thief broke in'?"
Shang Ning told Jin Yining what had happened today, "Xia Tian couldn't have been wrong, and Teacher Qin saw it too."
