Chapter 59 Why do you think I'll tell you?

After leaving the police station, Shang Ning went directly to Starry Sky Film Company.

When Shang Ning arrived, everyone looked at her strangely. Every now and then, one or two female celebrities she would see on TV would pass by, and their eyes were full of contempt and disgust when they looked at her.

She used to think it was normal, but after that suspicion arose, Shang Ning found those gazes piercing.

Yang Fei was a little curious when she received Shang Ning's call, and became even more curious when she learned that Shang Ning was downstairs.

Shang Ning hung up the phone and waited downstairs. Yang Fei came down in less than three minutes.

"Why are you here?" Yang Fei frowned, clearly not particularly happy to see her. "Why did you call me directly?"

Shang Ning shrugged slightly, put his hands in his pockets, and looked around at the people. "I don't think anyone here would be willing to tell me where you are if I ask them. Rather than getting their rudeness over nothing, I'd rather just tell you to get off here."

Yang Fei: "..."

That's the truth.

But when did she become so smart?

"Come on up," Yang Fei said, turning around first.

Starry Sky Films is a standalone office building with seventeen floors, making it one of the companies in China with relatively complete facilities.

It is said that they can produce an urban idol drama or a palace drama within their company.

Ning Kong had probably been here before, but this was Shang Ning's first time, so she was quite curious.

Yang Fei led her into his office, where many people were pointing and whispering behind them.

"How dare this woman show her face?"

"She's come to Sister Yang again to ask for help, hasn't she? Wasn't she crying and begging Sister Yang to help her last time? Shameless and pathetic, dragging Brother Ning along, how dare she come here?"

"What's there to be ashamed of in a shameless woman?"

...

Shang Ning paused, glancing at the whispering girls behind her, before following Yang Fei into the office. She then closed the door, shutting out all the nonsense.

Yang Fei picked up the remote control from the table, pulled open the curtains, glanced at the half-closed door of the lounge, lowered her eyes, and then looked up at the woman who was looking at her office.

Yang Fei's office is filled with films and TV series produced by their company. Fifty percent of them are by Jin Yining, and the other fifty percent are by other artists in the company.

"It's not that I don't want to help you this time, it's just that you said yourself you wouldn't..."

"You should know everything about my past, right?" Shang Ning turned her gaze to Yang Fei, the woman who had refused to help her before she even had a chance to speak.

In an instant, Yang Fei donned her armor. For the first time, she instinctively raised her armor against this woman she had once refused to even look at.

"Why do you think I would know?" Yang Fei asked back.

"Because you need to make sure I don't suddenly do anything crazy that causes Jin Yining to do something uncontrollable, and you also need to make sure that everything I do is beneficial to Jin Yining, maybe by helping him play the victim, or by helping him gain favor with strangers, right?"

As Shang Ning spoke, she followed Yang Fei to her desk, glanced down at the photos on her desk, and saw that they were mostly of Jin Yining.

He's definitely a hot commodity in the company.

Yang Fei neither answered immediately nor denied it, because every word she said was true.

"I have to be responsible for my artists," Yang Fei said with a smile.

Shang Ning nodded, placed his hands on the table, and looked at Yang Fei opposite him. "I need all my past information. You know I don't remember much about what happened before."

"Why do you think I would tell you?" Yang Fei leaned back in her chair, her fingers clasped together, looking at Shang Ning across from her.
