Shang Ning temporarily ignored the girl who might still feel ashamed and called Jin Yining, but Maodou answered the phone.
"Sister Ning, Brother Ning is filming." There was noise coming from Maodou's side, so they moved to a relatively quiet place.
Shang Ning checked the time; it was 11:30, almost 12:00.
Thank you for your hard work, Teacher Jin.
"Oh, it's nothing, let's talk about it when he's done." Shang Ning couldn't quite put her finger on disappointment, but she was a little unhappy.
"Sister Ning, Brother Ning has a full-night rehearsal tonight. Why don't you rest first? I'll talk to him after he finishes filming and have him contact you." Maodou said, standing on tiptoe to look at Jin Yining and Qin Wei who were rehearsing over there.
Today's scene is about the First God, played by Qin Wei, fighting against the demon lord, played by Jin Yining, in order to save his little disciple, and accidentally losing his soul.
Before the scene began, everyone put away their phones, all for this crucial moment.
"It's nothing serious, no need to tell him. I'll contact him tomorrow afternoon," Shang Ning said, thanked him, and hung up the phone.
Maodou looked at her phone, then at the people filming over there, and nudged Yang Ge who had followed her over. "Why do I feel like Sister Ning has changed so much since then?"
"I felt it too," Brother Yang nodded seriously.
"I told her that Ning was staying up all night, and she actually said she'd call again tomorrow afternoon. It seems like she really cares about Ning. That car accident really wasn't for nothing," Maodou said softly.
Brother Yang: "..."
For a moment, it was impossible to tell whether those words were kind or harsh.
Following Xia Tian's advice, Shang Ning filed an account appeal on the live streaming platform. She wanted to get her account back and continue live streaming, since she still needed to earn money.
After submitting the application, she just had to wait; there was nothing else she could do, but there was one thing she could do.
Shang Ning took the phone and sent a message to Lin Tingyu, asking her to meet him the next day.
After doing all this, Shang Ning tossed her phone aside, put her hands behind her neck, looked at the empty wall, and felt that something was missing.
Shang Ning thought for a moment, then picked up her phone again, did a few things on it, and finally turned it off and went to sleep.
By the time Jin Yining got her phone, it was already dawn. The intense drama of the night had left everyone looking disheveled.
Jin Yining was in relatively good spirits. She picked up her phone and checked the messages. Qin Wei came over and took off his blood-stained robe. "Go back to sleep. I'm exhausted."
"Okay." Jin Yining responded, checked the time, and figured Shang Ning shouldn't be awake yet, so she planned to call her later.
Shang Ning's choice of location this time wasn't very good. It wasn't an elegant coffee shop or a formal Western restaurant; it was just a small alley with hardly anyone around. There was a hotel kitchen there, though, and the smell wasn't particularly pleasant.
Shang Ning leaned against the wall, one foot resting against it, watching a video on her phone. She seemed to be laughing quite happily at something she saw.
When Lin Tingyu came over, she looked at him with disdain. When she saw Shang Ning leaning against the wall and laughing, her contempt intensified.
"What did you call me here for?" Lin Tingyu stopped two meters away from her and looked at the woman opposite her.
Shang Ning put away his phone, looked up at the woman approaching, put his right foot down, and put his hands in his pockets. "I want to chat with you."
Lin Tingyu looked around again, her expression growing increasingly grim, and turned to leave.
"Since you're already here, aren't you going to listen properly?" Shang Ning called out to the person who was about to leave.
