Chapter 619 The Things He Wanted to Do, But Dared Not Do

Shang Ning had her own principles, and Jin Yining understood that, so she didn't insist on anything. She simply told Sister Yang to listen to Shang Ning on this matter.

[Sister Yang: Are you really going to become a hands-off manager?]

Jin Yining: Life is hers, not mine. If I do everything for her, wouldn't it be better to just live for her? We're all adults, and there's no need to be so controlling with each other in our work.

Jin Yining: As long as I'm there for her when she needs me, that's enough.

After being held for a while, Xiao Guoke got annoyed and started to cry. Shang Ning quickly ended the call with Jin Yining, picked up Xiao Guoke, and walked around the room a few times before the little guy cheered up a bit.

After eating dumplings in the summer, he leaned back in his chair and burped. "I'll go edit the rest of the videos, and you should rest well these next few days. I'll let you know before the next event."

Shang Ning nodded and gently patted the little fruit shell. "Don't worry too much, it will be alright."

"I don't know where you academics get your confidence from. Fine, I'm leaving." Xia Tian said, then got up and left without intending to finish reading.

Shang Ning saw Xia Tian out, and after closing the door, looked down at her son, "Perhaps it's because the world isn't that bad that I have confidence."

Little Fruit Shell blinked its big eyes at its mother, clearly not understanding what its mother was talking about.

Jin Yining rushed to take photos, working almost non-stop for 36 hours to take advantage of the good weather. He slept the whole way on the plane back and didn't get home until midnight.

Shang Ning was sleeping on her side, protecting Xiao Guoke. Xiao Guoke had a towel covering her belly and was lying sprawled out, her little movements quite bold.

Shang Ning was sleeping while being gently patted on his little body, as if she was coaxing him to sleep.

Jin Yining carefully entered the room, leaving her luggage outside. She took a shower outside before coming in.

Shang Ning woke up when he sat down, but didn't open her eyes. "You're back?"

Jin Yining responded and leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Go to sleep."

Shang Ning simply called his name once, and knowing that he had returned, she slept even more soundly.

Jin Yining sat beside her for a while before getting up and going to the other side of the bed. He took the document from her other hand, glanced at it, and then placed it on the table.

Jin Yining reached out and turned off the light, then lay down next to her son. Now she wasn't so sleepy anymore.

Jin Yining knew better than anyone that Shang Ning's ambitions were too great, and she wanted to help too many people, but her ambitions were also small; she only wanted to do what she could.

Many people care about what others say, which is an emotion that is hard to control. But once you see through the fact that the outside world has little to do with you, you will know that doing what you can do is a very easy thing.

Jin Yining turned to look at Shang Ning and placed her hand on her cheek. "Go do what you want to do. No matter what, I'll always be there for you."

Shang Ning did many things he wanted to do but didn't dare to.

Sister Yang asked him why he allowed Shang Ning to do this thankless task. He wanted Shang Ning to do it on his behalf, because he was not as brave as Shang Ning.

Yet he could become her support.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me." Shang Ning was half asleep, and it was unclear whether she was talking in her sleep or saying something else.

Jin Yining chuckled softly, kissed her again, and finally held her hand as they fell asleep.
