Chapter 228 The Boss Has a Big Temper

When Jin Yining came over, Shang Ning was sitting to the side, chin in hand, lost in thought. He went over and sat down in front of the makeup mirror, reaching out to pick up the thermos on the table.

What are you thinking about?

"Making money is really hard," Shang Ning said frankly. "My business was nipped in the bud before it even started. I feel like I can't do anything. I don't know how to run a tutoring class, I don't know how to be a fan site manager, and the only thing I can do is live streaming, which someone else taught me."

Looking back at the past two months of turmoil, Shang Ning had no idea what she had actually accomplished.

Jin Yining finished drinking the water and put down the cup. "The competition is over. You can go back to the lab now."

"Teacher Jin, you're out of water, aren't you? I'll go get you some." Shang Ning said, taking his cup and getting up to find hot water.

Jin Yining watched Shang Ning leave, wondering what the side effects of that experiment were that made her shrink her head back into her shell and refuse to come out.

When Shang Ning went to get water, Lin Tingyu appeared on set again, and as always, treated the crew to milk tea and pastries.

Unsurprisingly, Shang Ning also received one.

Shang Ning put down the cup, and Lin Tingyu handed her the small cake box. "I'm sorry about what happened this morning. I really didn't notice, which is why I thought you did it on purpose."

Shang Ning glanced down at the small cake she was offered, while some of the resting staff members watched them.

Is this an apology or a way of putting her in her place?

Shang Ning reached out and took the small cake, then placed it on Jin Yining's table. "Okay, I accept the apology."

Lin Tingyu: "..."

Lin Tingyu paused noticeably, after all, she had thought that this woman would argue with her, and only then could she proceed to the next step.

Jin Yining lowered his eyes and let the makeup artist touch up his makeup. Shang Ning didn't even follow his routine, so how could she follow hers?

After putting down the cake, Shang Ning turned to look at Lin Tingyu and asked, "Miss Lin, is there anything else?"

"She came to see me." Shi Pinjing came over, glanced at Shang Ning, and then went to talk to Lin Tingyu.

Shang Ning leaned back in Jin Yining's chair, watching the people leaving. "Teacher Jin, I don't think your aunt has very good taste."

Jin Yining looked at her back in the mirror and said, "Her professional skills are indeed quite good, which is what my aunt valued."

Shang Ning suddenly turned to look at Jin Yining, "Teacher Jin, your idea is very wrong!"

Shang Ning spoke with righteous indignation; how could we praise her at this moment?

After the makeup artist finished touching up the makeup, and before the scene transition was even finished, Jin Yining turned to Shang Ning and said, "Tell the truth."

"You don't actually have feelings for her, do you? How can you do this to Xiao Bei?" Shang Ning bent down slightly and glared fiercely at Jin Yining.

Jin Yining looked at the person who suddenly approached and gave a meaningful "oh", "So Miss Ning is still shipping couples, huh? You've been so quiet that I thought you'd retired from the entertainment industry."

The distance was so close that Shang Ning could almost feel his breath, and—his mockery.

Before her heart raced, Shang Ning coughed lightly, straightened up, and looked around, trying to hide her erratic heartbeat, though her ears turned pink.

"Well, I'm just being a rational fan, trying not to cause trouble for my idol, right?" Shang Ning said, her hand unconsciously tapping on the back of the chair.

Jin Yining snorted and yelped, then turned around and picked up her phone.

Shang Ning: "..."

The boss has a terrible temper.
