It's impossible not to worry, but Shang Ning can't worry too much right now. If she does, Jin Yining's parents will only worry even more.
But as the wedding drew closer, Jin Yining still hadn't returned, and the wedding itself caused quite a stir.
Xia Tian came over and took Shang Ning's phone, not letting her see those things. Shang Ning watched Xia Tian throw her phone away and chuckled, "What are you doing?"
"Why look at these things? Aren't they just making you feel worse?" Xia Tian sat down opposite her.
"I just find it laughable. Jin Yining is risking his life for these people just so they can be keyboard warriors with nothing better to do? I don't quite understand."
Xia Tian looked at Shang Ning, completely at a loss for words to comfort her. Shang Ning sighed, got up, walked to the window, and looked outside. "Why is the world like this?"
Xia Nian followed, keeping an eye on the pedestrians outside, "I don't know."
Shang Ning touched her belly. She had never been able to figure this out. Perhaps it was because she was not Jin Yining and did not have such a high level of awareness, which made her resentful and angry.
Since we're angry, we need to do something about it.
So when Shang Ning found Sister Yang, Sister Yang was preparing for the company's Spring Festival Gala.
Looking at the thick stack of documents Shang Ning handed her, Sister Yang glanced at them and asked, "Now?"
"Right now." If she didn't check the time when she was cursing, then she doesn't need to check if it's during the Spring Festival to file a lawsuit. If you're unhappy, you have to start from the beginning of the year, right?
Sister Yang glanced at the documents on the table again, and finally nodded, "Okay, I'll contact a lawyer now. The case will definitely be filed before the Spring Festival. Since no one wants to get along, no one can have a good New Year."
Shang Ning raised an eyebrow slightly. "I thought you were going to scold me again."
Sister Yang glanced at her, her gaze finally settling on her stomach. "You do have some self-awareness. I'll talk to you about this after you give birth. You were the one who said you wouldn't have a wedding, weren't you?"
"You believe what women say?" Shang Ning said matter-of-factly, almost getting hit by Sister Yang's pen holder. Shang Ning quickly took a step back, looking at the person who was about to get up and hit her, "Xia Tian is still waiting for me downstairs. If there's nothing else, I'll be going now."
Sister Yang watched the person run away, chuckled and cursed, and then left without saying anything more. She knew Shang Ning to some extent and knew that she wouldn't break her promise without a reason, unless someone did something to make her do it.
Once Shang Ning got into the car downstairs, she told Xia Tian to drive off quickly so that Sister Yang wouldn't chase after her and beat her up.
Shang Ning was fastening her seatbelt when she heard a voice beside her, "Why do you always get so scared whenever you see Sister Yang?"
Shang Ning abruptly stopped fastening her seatbelt and looked up at the person in the driver's seat. "You, when did you get back?" Shang Ning asked, then reached out to pat Jin Yining, looking him up and down, worried that he might be injured somewhere.
Jin Yining reached out and took her hand. "I'm fine, don't worry."
Shang Ning initially wanted to believe Jin Yining, but looking at his face, she couldn't tell he was alright. "Are you injured somewhere?"
Jin Yining looked at Shang Ning's sullen face, then glanced outside. "Let's go home. I'll talk to you when we get home."
