Familiar drug users

A dagger plunged straight into the man's abdomen. "Too bad you forgot I still have a dagger in my hand."

Jiang Jin coldly watched the man fall, then pulled out a dagger, splattering blood onto her face.

"The one who can kill me hasn't been born yet. I was going to spare your life to find out who's behind this, but unfortunately, you've become a threat to me." Jiang Jin didn't hesitate to stab the man several more times until he was lifeless before stopping.

Jiang Jin hastily wiped the blood off her body, found some papers in the man's clothes, put the token in her sleeve, picked up the fallen porcelain bottle and put it in her bosom, then quickly grabbed the papers and inkstone from the table and left the stone house.

The candles outside flickered. Jiang Jin followed the path she remembered and finally reached the outside. The four men on guard duty were drowsy. Jiang Jin used four Mountain Moon Needles in quick succession to send them away.

Eryu, who was waiting outside, breathed a sigh of relief when she saw Jiang Jin emerge safely.

"This was found on that person." Jiang Jin handed the porcelain bottle and the paper filled with medicinal herbs to Eryu. "Remember to send it to His Majesty. It's a pity that the person was too troublesome, so I had to kill him. Otherwise, I might have been able to find out who was behind it from him."

Jiang Jin felt a pang of regret. If that person hadn't been so aggressive and wanted her dead, she wouldn't have gone so far as to kill him.

"Killing the person who makes the pills would be a great achievement. Without the pill refiner, there's no need for the pill refiner. It's just a pity that the ambition of the person behind it all remains." Eryu felt a little regretful, but the situation was already much better than he had expected.

"Then tonight we'll slaughter this heartless place!" Jiang Jin, dagger in hand, slipped into the night and returned to the house.

Yi Yi was watching his third brother to keep him from moving, and his heart clenched when he saw Jiang Jin covered in blood.

"My lady, did His Majesty's guards fail to protect you properly?" Yi Yi's gaze towards Er Yu was filled with dissatisfaction and hostility.

"He couldn't go in down there, so I went to see the person who refined the pills alone. Although there was a bit of an accident, at least I managed to kill him, which can be considered revenge for the dead." Jiang Jin looked at the bloodstains on his body without caring, and with a swift stroke of his knife, he sent the man on the ground to his death.

"Where are the Imperial Guards?" Jiang Jin looked at the two people beside him, thinking that the three of them probably couldn't take this place with their own strength.

"After receiving Bifeng Township's letter, the general sent thirty trusted men who have already met up with Zhou Cong outside. There are also three hundred garrison soldiers on their way," Yi Yi explained to Jiang Jin, outlining the situation outside.

"Put the sleeping potion in their water, then we'll take this place under cover of night." Jiang Jin handed the armlet to Eryu. "Where is that courtyard where the people being held alive with the potion?"

Eryu pointed to the way the two had come from, to the courtyard behind the well, but there were at least ten men guarding it. He hoped his wife wouldn't be reckless.

"Thank you." After Jiang Jin thanked him, she led Yi Yi out the door. Yi Yi was a little puzzled by Jiang Jin's hurried manner.

"My lady, we can just wait patiently. Why go through all that trouble to rescue that drugged man now?" Yi Yi followed behind Jiang Jin, cautiously observing their surroundings. Any slight movement would put him on high alert.

"You said something unusual happened outside. Wouldn't those people immediately transport the living drug-using person away? What if the drug-using person actually succeeds? That would be a hidden danger." The two quietly entered the courtyard, observing the guards inside, and began to consider the situation.

"The room with four people standing at the door must be where the drug addicts are being held. I'll take care of two with the Mountain Moon poison first, then I'll use the hairpin's poison to take care of the other two. We'll split the remaining six equally." Yi Yi carefully flew to the rooftop with Jiang Jin's arm around her waist.

"My lady, you can stay upstairs and watch over these mere ten people. It's no trouble for me to take action myself!" Yi Yi grabbed a dagger and flew into the courtyard. The newcomer, seeing this, swiftly attacked. Not to be outdone, Yi Yi drew the crescent-shaped blade from her hair and plunged it into the man's heart.

Taking advantage of the chaos of the fight, Jiang Jin secretly raised her wrist and successfully shot a poisoned needle into the eye of the person on the right who was preparing to launch a sneak attack.

"There's one more up there!" someone exclaimed. In the next instant, a flash of silver light appeared, and a poisoned silver needle pierced his throat.

Yi Yi dealt with five people but also suffered an arm injury. Fortunately, Jiang Jin gave him an antidote pill, preventing him from being poisoned.

"Yi-ichi, catch me!" Jiang Jin leaped from the rooftop and landed safely in Yi-ichi's arms. Seeing someone peeking out from behind, attempting a sneak attack, Jiang Jin slashed them to their doom.

"Two more!" A bloodthirsty glint flashed in Jiang Jin's eyes as she grabbed the horizontal sword from the ground and attacked the two men. Because they were women, they were more agile, and because Yi Yi had exhausted their strength, they eventually fell to Jiang Jin's blade.

"Wife, what will happen to us if the medicine man becomes a human?" Yi Yi stared at Jiang Jin for a moment, then pushed open the door. The room was dimly lit. Yi Yi walked ahead of Jiang Jin and took out a tinderbox to barely illuminate the room.

A woman covered in wounds and barely clothed lay on the couch. "Who?"

"I'm here to save you." Jiang Jin's voice pierced through the pain and reached Sanfeng's ears.

"Wife!" Sanfeng struggled to open his eyes and was heartbroken to see Jiang Jin covered in blood. "Wife, leave quickly! This is a den of demons; you can't stay here!"

"Sanfeng!" Jiang Jin, disregarding everything else, pulled off Yi Yi's outer robe and draped it over Sanfeng. "It's alright, I'll take you away!"

Jiang Jin was about to grasp the umbrella when Yi Yi stopped her, saying, "My lady, today is the ninth day."

"So what? So what if it's nine or ten days!" Jiang Jin's tears soaked her sleeves. "I will absolutely not let Umbrella Wind stay here!"

"Let's go!" Jiang Jin put her arm around Sanfeng and noticed how thin she was; she could feel her bones. "After we get out, we'll have someone make you some nice clothes. I have some fine fabric to make you several new outfits." Sanfeng's wrists were icy cold, and Jiang Jin breathed on them to warm them.

"My lady, I want to go back to Bianzhou. I shouldn't have been so playful..." Seeing Jiang Jin crying uncontrollably, Sanfeng wanted to reach out and wipe away her tears, but realized his hands were too dirty and would soil Jiang Jin's face.

"It's not your fault. Umbrella Wind, I'll take you back. Hold on to me and let Awan heal you!"

Jiang Jin grasped Sanfeng's hand and placed it against her cheek. "Now that Bianzhou is His Highness's fiefdom, we'll be very safe here!" Watching Sanfeng's breathing gradually weaken, Jiang Jin held her tightly in her arms.

"Don't sleep, Umbrella Wind, don't sleep!" Jiang Jin hugged Umbrella Wind's body, trying to transfer her warmth to her. "Don't sleep!" Jiang Jin was pulled away by Yi Yi. Looking at Umbrella Wind lying on the ground, she couldn't connect her with the lively person she used to be.

"Yi Yi, this is all just a dream, right!" Jiang Jin crawled to Sanfeng's side and hit herself with her hand. "Sanfeng, I'm not playing anymore. I'll take you to eat sugar cake. Isn't sugar cake your favorite?"

"My lady, we still have important matters to attend to, and there are still formidable enemies outside. We cannot let our guard down!" Yi Yi looked at Sanfeng with some distress and finally picked her up. "Let's take Sanfeng back to meet up with Eryu first."

"Okay." Jiang Jin touched her umbrella, her body already chilled by the wind, and followed Yi Yi back to the courtyard.

"Is this the drug-using person?" Eryu watched as Jiang Jin carefully placed the umbrella over her and gently wiped her cheeks with a handkerchief.

"This is my wife's good friend," Yi Yi explained softly to Er Yu. Jiang Jin suppressed her sadness and asked Er Yu, "How did things go?"

"It's already been put in. I've been watching them fetch water and eat, so I believe we'll have results soon." Eryu returned the armlet to Jiang Jin.

"The Imperial Guards should be careful when using the sleeping potion on their wives; it's very potent."

"Thank you." Jiang Jin didn't say anything more, but simply grasped Sanfeng's hand. "I will definitely avenge you. I won't let a single one of these people go!"

Jiang Jin's murderous intent made Yi Yi nervous. "Wife, there seems to be some commotion outside!" Yi Yi opened the crack in the window and saw a few scattered, fallen people outside.

"Notify the Imperial Guards to begin the attack. Yi Yi, you stay here to provide support. I'm going to the secret chamber." Jiang Jin returned to the well with her short blade. The people inside collapsed to the ground in agony, and upon seeing Jiang Jin's return, they all begged her for the antidote.

"Get out!" Jiang Jin went around to the stone chamber, confirmed that the man's body was still there, and then set his clothes on fire.

"See you in the next life. Of course, you can go to the King of Hell and sue me, but you've committed too many sins and should go straight to the 180th level of hell." Jiang Jin returned outside and with a swift stroke, he killed the men and set their clothes on fire. "I was kind-hearted and didn't let you burn to death, but it's a pity you were poisoned by the Mountain Moon and I can't leave your bodies behind."

Jiang Jin used the same method to destroy the corpses of several people in the courtyard. As the firelight illuminated the night sky, Jiang Jin murmured, "Now I can finally understand the suffering of those people!"

"My lady, Zhou Cong and Zhou Liao have led their men in and stormed in. Most of them surrendered, but a small number who resisted have been executed on the spot." Yi Yi arrived in the courtyard and saw Jiang Jin staring blankly at the firelight. He sighed softly and slowly stood behind her.

"My lady, Zhou Cong seems to have something to say to you. He's waiting for you in the courtyard now." Yi Yi gently interrupted Jiang Jin's thoughts. Jiang Jin took one last look at the courtyard, wishing that the umbrella wind could come back to life.

"Let's go." Jiang Jin followed Yi Yi and saw Zhou Cong and Zhou Liao, who were handling the aftermath, but did not see Zi Yuan. "Where is Zi Yuan? Where did she go again? It's hard to guarantee that there are no stragglers here. Let's send someone to bring her over."

"Madam." Zhou Cong suddenly knelt before Jiang Jin. Seeing his action, Jiang Jin felt a sudden, ominous premonition.

"What happened to Ziyuan?" Jiang Jin saw Zhou Cong's guilty expression and pulled him up from the ground.

"Where is she!" Jiang Jin took a few steps back and leaned against Yi Yi.

"Ziyuan is missing." Zhou Cong's voice grew softer, but it still rang clearly in Jiang Jin's ears. Jiang Jin clutched Yi Yi's clothes, feeling dizzy and disoriented, as if she had been drugged. Everyone around her seemed a little blurry.

"How could she disappear? She's not someone who doesn't know what's good for her, she wouldn't disappear on purpose!" Jiang Jin's mind raced with various suspicions, and unable to accept it any longer, she fainted in Yi Yi's arms.
