(Warning:
The author has only watched the anime and only knows the plot up to the anime part.
I've only seen some pictures of the comics.
This story is about the combination of Natsume Takashi and Kuro Karin, set in the background of Natsume's Book of Friends.
(Don’t say that seeing “Xiangling” is distracting. This is Black Xiangling, and has nothing to do with the original Xiangling.)
This article begins when Hei Xiangling has already left.
Although it's not well written, the setting of the fairies is that when the contractor has the ability and courage to overcome sadness, they will return to their own world.
Therefore, Natsume, who was adopted by the Fujiwara family, and the friends he will meet in the future have already met his requirements.
While Natsume is exploring Reiko's past, his friends are also exploring Natsume's past.
If you can accept all of this, then keep reading!
Happy reading.)
"I am just a flower in your life."
"Then you are the most beautiful one."
Natsume thought he could adapt to the days without Xiangling, but when he stood on the podium and listened to the teacher introduce himself, he couldn't help but think that it would be nice if she was still there.
After finishing his self-introduction, Natsume walked to his seat, which was in the back row by the window. It was a good spot, and it was very comfortable when the window was open and the wind blew in.
"Please take care of me." Nishimura greeted Natsume who was going to sit behind him later.
Natsume was stunned for a moment, then smiled quietly: "Please take care of me."
Sitting in his seat, feeling the natural breeze, he thought back to the day Hei Xiangling was leaving:
"No! I won't leave!" Hei Xiangling looked at her arm that had been transformed from the doll's joints and shook her head. She couldn't let go of Natsume, the child she raised.
How could she feel at ease? She watched Natsume grow up little by little, from the introverted, timid but gentle child he used to be, to become strong and confident.
Now that he has a gentle and kind adoptive father, how can she feel at ease when he is going to a new place?
As if hearing her words, her body stopped changing and was about to change from a human arm back to a doll joint, but her hand was held by Natsume.
"Go home." Natsume said sadly to his sister who had always taken care of him.
"...But..." Hei Xiangling held Natsume's hand in return.
"My life is just a flower in your life." I will die, and your curse will continue to take effect. How can I bear to see you become an ordinary lifeless doll after I am gone.
"You are the most beautiful flower in my life." Hei Xiangling's tears fell. She could not let go of Natsume. Even though she knew that Natsume, who still possessed magic, was able to stand on his own, she was still worried that Natsume would be wronged in places where she could not see.
Natsume raised his lips and smiled: "Sister is also the most beautiful flower in my life."
"Can I convey my thoughts to you with the breeze?" Natsume asked.
Hei Xiangling also laughed when she heard what Natsume said: "Of course."
From then on, every breeze in the fairyland that carried the fragrance of flowers was Natsume's longing for her.
"Pay attention to the class." Natsume was distracted and seemed to hear Hei Xiangling's voice again.
He looked at the teacher lecturing on the blackboard, collected his thoughts and listened attentively.
As soon as the teacher left after class, a group of classmates gathered around Natsume's desk. They were all very curious about this transfer student from the big city.
This is a quiet and somewhat backward town with dense forests, clear streams, wide fields, shrines everywhere and...
monster.
So many monsters!
Natsume had never seen so many monsters before.
He closed his eyes and released his breath. The breath of the monster was brought to him by the breeze. It was like the stars in the night sky, there were so many of them.
After lunch break, Natsume went to the back of the teaching building to eat lunch alone, without joining his classmates. The bento was delicious, but he couldn't help but think: "It would be nice if Xiangling was here."
Natsume placed the purple gem hanging around his neck in his palm and closed his hands: "I'm starting."
Little did they know that all this was seen by the people on the rooftop. Kita Benedictoshi felt a little sorry: "Is he eating his lunch box alone? Someone come and invite him to join us."
"It's more like no one dares to disturb him than to say it's an invitation." Nishimura Satoru looked at Natsume below.
It was just their first meeting, but when they recalled the impression Natsume gave them, it was that he was someone they couldn't reach.
"Isn't it just a move from a slightly larger city? Why does it leave this impression?" Nishimura was puzzled.
Bei Ben thought about it for a while and also felt strange.
Natsume is obviously very gentle and has a good temper, but for some reason I feel like he is out of my reach.
It feels like calling him is a disturbance.
A few days passed like this. Natsume lay on the table and wrote a letter to Hei Xiangling, telling her about his recent life in the letter.
Auntie Tazi is gentle and kind, and her cooking is delicious. Uncle Zi is taciturn but very reliable. This small country town is very peaceful, although there are a lot of monsters. Most of the time, monsters and humans exist in harmony in this village...
After writing the letter to Hei Xiangling, he folded it and put it in an envelope, then put it in his hands and clasped his hands together: "Wind, please take my thoughts with you."
The wind blew through Natsume's hair.
Then the letter without a stamp was placed in the box.
After finishing all this, Natsume started doing homework, and then writing a novel.
Because he had been taken care of by others before, and every family has their own difficulties, Natsume wanted to do odd jobs to earn some pocket money to take care of Hei Xiangling, and also wanted to reduce the burden on the family that adopted him. However, doing odd jobs was a bit difficult for him, because due to his physical condition, he sometimes attracted monsters, which would cause trouble for the shop where he worked, and the minimum requirement for working in the shop was a middle school student.
