Only after school did Natsume have time to ask the monster that had been pestering him all day what it wanted to do.
"Tell the truth." Natsume asked with a straight face.
The male demon is called "Snake Eyes" (not his real name, because his head was wrapped in bandages with only one eye exposed, and he was unwilling to tell Natsume his real name, so Natsume gave him a nickname). The female demon is called Asagi, and they were originally demons living in the Isozuki Forest where noble demons gathered.
Asagi plays the piano and Snake Eyes holds an umbrella, but one day Asagi suddenly gets a disease that causes her whole body to fall off like mud. She can't stand being useless and is about to leave the Isozuki Forest, but Snake Eyes follows her and wants to escort her back to her hometown.
Asagi can no longer play the piano, but in the near future when the moon is full, the path to the Isogai Forest will appear, so Snake Eyes wants Asagi to possess Natsume and play the piano again.
"So you agreed to let that monster possess you! You idiot! Big idiot! Big idiot who messed around!!!" Madara was so angry that he wanted to scratch Natsume with his claws, but his chubby claws could not reach Natsume after Natsume pressed them against his head.
"Because I feel so pitiful." Natsume touched his face awkwardly. He also felt that it was a bit unreasonable, but how could anyone refuse a request that sounded like a will?
"You will definitely suffer the consequences for your temper." Madara was still very angry.
Natsume picked up Madara and said, "If you are afraid of the consequences of your actions, so you do nothing and refuse all requests for help, then I will definitely regret it."
Ban was touched so hard that his belly turned over and he made a gurgling sound: "There's nothing I can do to you."
To play the piano, you first need a piano. Asagi's piano is specially made. The strings are the white lines on the forehead of a monster called Xianyin that looks like a carp, and the body of the piano is made of wood with bamboo passed through it.
Natsume asked Snake Eyes to find the lead while he went to find wood.
While looking for wood, Natsume chatted with Asagi in his body and listened to Asagi talking about what happened in the Isozuki Forest before.
Listening to Asagi talking about the past in the Isogai Forest and the scene where Snake Eyes dealt with the offending monsters with ease.
"Is Asagi's wish to play the piano for Lord Mibui, the ruler of the Isotsuki Forest, again?" Natsume asked.
Everything before was said by Snake Eyes, but Natsume never heard Asagi's opinion.
Qiancong was silent for a while: "I..."
Natsume couldn't help laughing when he heard Asagi's answer. He tried to communicate with the wind blowing past his ears in the forest: "Be my eyes and ears, and find the wooden stakes pierced by the bamboo for me."
With the help of the wind, Natsume finally found the wooden stake, and Snake Eyes also caught the lead when the sun set.
Looking at Snake Eyes grunting as he carved the wood, Natsume couldn't help laughing. He could tell the shape and size of the piano without even measuring or thinking.
"It's very comfortable inside Natsume-sama's body," Asagi said.
"Ah, because my power is nourishing you." Natsume explained to Asagi.
"Thank you, Natsume-sama."
"There's a price to pay. Can I write your story in a book?" Natsume didn't accept Asagi's thanks.
There was a smile in Asagi's voice: "So our story can be recorded in a book? If you don't mind, Natsume-sama, please feel free to use it."
Snake Eyes finished the piano the next day. While Natsume was watering the flowers, Snake Eyes kept whispering in Natsume's ear about how he took Asagi when the passage to the Isotsuki Forest opened on the night of the full moon.
Aunt Tazi went shopping, and Uncle Zi hadn't gotten off work yet. Natsume looked at Snake Eyes and put the watering can in his hand: "Asagi is asleep. If you are really free, please help me water the flowers."
Snake Eyes looked at Natsume. In the end, he not only watered the flowers and pulled out the weeds in the yard and vegetable garden, but also picked a tomato and washed it for Natsume: "You look listless today."
"Well, I'm stuck on a writer's block." Natsume spent two hours yesterday with his manuscript paper and pen, and only managed to write two lines, but had to cross them out.
Recently, the editor told him that the love story he wrote was a bit sad and readers had a big reaction to it, so he asked him if he could have a happy ending.
Natsume, who didn’t feel abused: …
But isn’t that the case between humans and demons?
Even if love overcomes all hardships, it will be defeated by time.
This time he originally wanted to write about the relationship between two monsters, but he didn't know how to start.
Snake Eyes had no contribution to the article, and he couldn't think of any good solution. But seeing Natsume so distressed, he looked at the Fujiwara family's slightly old house and decided to do something to help Natsume.
Natsume went back to think about how to come up with the idea, and didn't pay attention to Snake Eyes walking around the house. When he finally managed to finish two pieces of paper, he went out and saw the shiny, clean, waxed and maintained floor.
Although he has a bad temper, he is a surprisingly hardworking monster.
But how is he going to explain this to Aunt Tazi!
Is there a snail girl in your house?
When Tazi came back from buying groceries, she was also shocked: "Guizhi, did you cook at home?"
"Well, a friend came to visit me before and saw me doing housework, which helped me a lot." This was all Natsume could say.
"How can I ask guests to do housework? Let me think carefully about what to prepare as a thank you gift." Tazi was distressed, thinking about what kind of gift to prepare for Natsume's friend.
Natsume also felt helpless: "He likes the flowers I planted, I will give him some."
"Is this okay?" Tazi was a little hesitant. Although she thought Natsume's flowers were precious, others might not think so.
She was afraid that a gift would hurt their relationship and make Natsume sad.
"Sure, he really likes it." Natsume said, looking at the flowers in his flower bed.
