Chapter 20 Christmas

Snape replied with a new assortment of beauty potions he had made, including hair, nail and eyelash enhancements.

Originally, it was a beauty potion he made for Peacock, but because he couldn't buy the real formula and ingredients, he wanted to improve it and made a simplified version, but it only worked in one place. Christmas happened to be coming, so he gave it directly to Lucius for recycling.

Lucius, who didn't know the truth, was very moved.

Sirius Black over there received Peacock's insulting sweater.

He unfolded the sweater and put it on happily, thinking it was a gift from his good brother: "It must be from Lupin, it looks so handsome on me!"

"It even has my initials on it! It's so thoughtful. How could he have knitted this sweater when we're together all day?" Sirius was so happy. He liked the gift very much.

Sirius Black: Sirius Black.

Abbreviation: SB.

Peacock forgot that not everyone can perceive the meaning of words even if they don’t know them.

"Ah cut! Ah cut! Ah cut!"

The peacock, who was using a snow-making spell to simulate snowfall and singing Christmas songs, sneezed three times in a row.

Snape shuddered too.

Snape took out a cauldron and boiled two bottles of refreshing potion. He and Peacock drank one each.

But the chills in the two people's bodies still did not go away.

When they saw Sirius wearing that sweater at the Christmas dinner, they wanted to laugh at him, but when they heard a Gryffindor student complimenting his sweater on how nice it was and that his initials were woven into it, they both felt like the sky was falling.

"I know the Gryffindor door-opening spell. Let's go burn the clothes in the middle of the night," Peacock suggested.

Snape was tempted, but he couldn't explain himself if he was discovered...

I really want to burn that bastard together!

The only thing that comforted them was that the house elf Duoduo came to ask Snape what Peacock liked and they wanted to prepare a gift for Peacock.

"Beautiful jewelry." Since house elves didn't have a salary, Peacock suggested something cheap.

As a result, when they returned to the dormitory at night, Duoduo, as a representative, discovered a handful of gems with beautiful colors...

Snape and Peacock, who were afraid that the house-elves would use magic to rob, hurried to find Duoduo. After their explanation, they learned that there was a mysterious room on the eighth floor of Hogwarts Castle opposite the tapestry where the troll beat Barnabas with a stick. Any room they wanted would appear.

They opened the room where the unwanted items of previous students and teachers were stored and found these unwanted jewel ornaments. They took them off, polished them again and gave them to Peacock.

"Tell them that I like it very much!" Peacock smiled happily, she was really very happy.

"She will be very happy. The thought of you giving her a return gift will make her very happy." Snape took out the remaining joy potion for Peacock, mixed it into the tea, and poured tea for them.

"Merry Christmas." Snape raised his teacup at Peacock's instruction.

"Merry Christmas!" The house-elves also raised their glasses.

Dumbledore, who had asked the elves to bring some sweet tea to help with hangovers tonight, saw the bells around their necks and their happy smiles.

"Ah, I forgot to say Merry Christmas to you." Dumbledore said with a smile.

"A young gentleman and a beautiful lady have spoken to us," said the house-elf, blessing Dumbledore.
