Chapter 20: Separation and Anger

When Natsume was making clothes, Madara explained to Natsume: "It is a chick called Tatsumi. Tatsumi itself does not raise its offspring. After its eggs hatch, they will turn into the first creature they see. When they grow up, they will return to their original form and travel."

"So you almost became a teacher?" Natsume thought about the little deer-antlered Ban, and it was a bit hard to judge, so he sighed and said to Xiaochen: "You were really close just now."

spot:……

I will report this to the central government!

There's a cat attack here! Cat attack!

After putting clothes on Xiao Chenwei, Natsume was worrying about what to feed Xiao Chenwei when Xiao Chenwei bit the tail of Madara, who was maliciously saying that Chenwei might eat human flesh.

Natsume quickly brought Xiao Chenwei over and said, "No, you'll have diarrhea!"

Madara angrily waved his claws at Xiaochenwei: "You really don't know how to repay a favor. I take better care of you than this matchstick!"

"Who is Matchstick, teacher--" Natsume glanced at Madara with a warning look, put down Xiaochen's sleeves without rolling them up.

"The matchstick is talking about you!" Madara was completely unaware of the danger that was approaching.

"How dare you say that, fat cat!"

The man and the cat had a fight before they reconciled.

Ban named Xiaochenwei "Xiaoyu" because he came out of an egg.

In Japan, "tama" also means "egg".

Xiaoyu is very lively. He runs around in a slightly large kimono and is curious about everything. Since Natsume doesn't let him go out, he stays in the bedroom and plays obediently. He even tears some paper to make a small nest and reaches out to invite Natsume to come in.

"It's so beautifully done, but it's a pity I can't get in." Natsume gently rubbed Xiaoyu's head.

"I'm a little curious about what you'll look like as an adult. Will you be cute?"

Days passed, and it seemed that the age of monsters could not be calculated by human means. In just a few days, Xiaoyu had grown a lot: "She is the same age as Sister Xiangling."

Xiaoyu lay on Natsume's lap, looking at him puzzledly, as if wondering who Xiangling was.

Natsume really treated Xiaoyu like a child, taking him out to play and telling him stories, although most of the time Natsume doubted whether Xiaoyu could really understand.

When Natsume came home from school today and found that Tama was sick, he had a premonition that Tama was about to become an adult.

Natsume was actually a little flustered. He suddenly understood why some parents would be so sad when they saw their children become independent. He was the same now, sad, reluctant, flustered and even a little scared.

No, I don't want him to leave.

but……

Seeing her lying in the nest gasping for breath without any energy, he felt relieved again: "Xiaoyu doesn't want to grow up either, doesn't she? She doesn't want to leave us."

Natsume guessed that Xiaoyu refused to eat because she refused to grow up.

Xiaoyu came out of the nest and snuggled into Natsume's arms.

"No, Xiaoyu has to grow up and pursue his own path." Natsume hugged Xiaoyu and kissed him on the head: "Even if the return time is uncertain, it does not mean that we will be separated forever."

He also didn't want Xiaoyu to leave, worried that he would get hurt, sad, cry, and feel lonely where he couldn't see her. Just thinking about it made his heart ache.

"So this is how my sister felt when she left."

Natsume stood up holding Tama in his arms and Madara on his shoulder. He was going to the forest. Chen might be very big when he reaches adulthood, so it would be safer to go to the forest.

As soon as he opened the door, he met a monster that was writing on the door and had sensed Chen Wei's presence and came to investigate.

"I am the Rat of Isozuki, human, and I told you better not play tricks." The gray-haired man transformed from a rat into a human form and said to Natsume.

Natsume used magic to get the egg that had been placed there before and put it in the man's hand: "Here, if it's fake, I'll pay you ten times."

"Human!" The Isozuki Rat, who had been fooled, was a little angry.

Natsume touched Isozuki's shoulder and said, "I'm sorry, I can't leave Xiaoyu to you. Feng, send him out."

A tornado suddenly arose from the ground and swept the Isotsuki Rat out of the window.

"Isozuki Rat... is it related to the Isozuki Forest?" Natsume heard the familiar name and remembered that he had heard it from Asagi and Tong.

Both of them are monsters that came out of the Isozuki Forest.

Thinking of the noble Lord Mibuki they mentioned, she said, "I'm sorry, Xiaoyu is family. I can't become a delicacy in your mouth."

Xiaoyu has been feeling very uncomfortable, and the impact of growing up seems to be huge. Natsume gently hugs Xiaoyu and transfers some spiritual power to him, until the dark clouds disperse and a bright moon appears in the sky, Xiaoyu turns into his original form in Natsume's arms.

Chen Wei is green all over, over three meters tall, with a griffin head and a western dragon body.

Natsume was pushed back by Chen Wei who suddenly grew bigger. Xiaoyu seemed not to have adapted to the new body size yet. She tried to rub against Natsume as before, and then rubbed Natsume who had just stood up and made him squat again.

Natsume held back the beak of Xiaoyu who was trying to rub him again: "Fly, Xiaoyu, the teacher and I will take you there together."

On the round moon like a jade plate, Xiaoyu flapped her wings and flew up. On one side was Madara who had turned into his original form, and on the other side was Natsume who had transformed. They accompanied Xiaoyu and sent him on his journey.

"Although I don't know when you will return, we will meet again." Natsume stopped in the sky, holding Madara's hand and watching Xiaoyu leave.

Only after Xiaoyu was out of sight did Natsume teleport away with Madara.

Natori Monday, who had just finished work, stretched his neck and looked up, and seemed to see something incredible: ...

He closed his eyes, rubbed them, and looked over again, but there was nothing. "I was so scared. I thought Kaguya had come down from the moon. It must be an illusion because I was too tired.
