Chapter 24 Soul

(Not the kind in Black Lake)

From the hips down, it is covered with tiny blue and green diamonds, like the shimmering surface of a lake after a breeze.

"These diamonds are arranged in the shape of peacock feathers. I like them very much. She must have put a lot of effort into it." Narcissa stroked the picture. She really liked it very much.

Lucius also leaned over to take a look. He was silent for a moment and said, "When that day comes, I'm afraid I'll just have to stay under Cissy's feet as a carpet to avoid being an eyesore."

Narcissa was amused. "How much does it cost?"

"She said this is a gift to wish you a happy wedding." Peacock was not planning to take any money. What she liked was the joy of having the clothes she made liked by others.

"Is she really not coming to my wedding?" Narcissa had already begun to like the girl she had never met.

Snape put the design away: "Then the elegance of the wedding will no longer belong to the bride."

Narcissa didn't get angry, but smiled easily: "You seem to like her very much."

Snape said nothing.

Her wedding dress was decided, and then it was up to Snape and Malfoy.

"Has Sev heard of soul stabilizer?" Even though this was a soundproof box, Lucius still set up a soundproofing spell.

"No." Snape refused directly.

Soul Stabilizer is a potion that can alleviate the pain and madness of soul damage.

As far as he knew now, the only way to destroy a soul, apart from spells that maliciously harmed the soul, was "murder."

"In the early stage, I'll provide you with fifty potion ingredients for you to practice. After that, you only need to make one potion with ten ingredients. You can use the remaining materials however you want. Oh, and there will be a reward of gold Galleons, according to the standards of a Potions Master. Of course, this is just a trivial condition." Lucius stated the conditions slowly.

Snape hesitated.

The materials for the soul-stabilizing potion were extremely precious, and some of them were only available to powerful people. Without considering going to places like the alley, Snape couldn't buy them even if he had money. This condition was a huge temptation for Snape, who was obsessed with potions.

"...No, Malfoy, I doubt whether you really want me to make this potion."

The greater the benefits, the greater the risks. Which powerful being needs a large amount of soul potion?

Malfoy's attitude made it look like he wanted Snape to refuse.

Lucius smiled and said, "I am sincere and offer such a generous reward."

The conversation ended here, and after they chatted for a while, Snape was about to leave.

Before leaving, Lucius called out to Snape, "Sev, you used to call me Senior Lucius."

Unlike calling him: Snape, Severus, Severus, Snape calls him: Senior Lucius, Senior Malfoy, Malfoy. Why do they seem to be becoming more and more unfamiliar?

Snape looked back at Lucius and said, "Heh."

Lucius was slightly hurt, but Narcissa was smiling happily.

When Snape returned home, Peacock was putting on makeup. He gave Narcissa's gift to Peacock, and Peacock liked it very much. Although it was not as clear, beautiful and colorful as the one she had frozen with magic, she was very happy when she thought that it was an unreleased one.

"Peacock, what if I don't become a good person?" Snape asked Peacock.

She probably hoped that her contractor would be an impeccable child from appearance to character, but he couldn't satisfy her. Looking at him from head to toe, he seemed to be full of shortcomings.

Peacock looked at Snape and thought for a while: "Then you have to become a bad guy with a bottom line, who lives the best and is the most fashionable."

"Huh?" Snape was a little surprised: "I thought you would feel ashamed and wish I would die."

Peacock put down the mirror and looked at Snape in surprise: "What terrible words are you saying? How can you say that about yourself? Hurry up and apologize to me and yourself!"

Snape looked at Peacock, whose eyeliner had not yet been applied, with an angry expression: "Sorry, to: Peacock and Severus."

Peacock then laughed: "I have a friend who said: 'Wanting to live a better life is not a right only for kind people.'

I just hope you have your sanity, bottom line, and perseverance, and don't do anything that you will regret later."
