Chapter 48 Love Potion

Snape lowered his eyes, and Riddle thought for a moment that Snape would burst into tears.

But no, Snape just stood there for a while and then prepared to leave. The grief deep in his heart had nowhere to vent. Peacock hid in the mirror space as if letting Snape cry secretly for a while, but Riddle came.

He simply couldn't show the emotions he didn't want to show around Riddle.

This was also Riddle's intention. He didn't want Snape to invest too much emotion in those irresponsible parents.

But when he was about to leave, he felt uncomfortable again. It must be very uncomfortable to suppress his emotions in his heart.

"Want to go to the pub?" Riddle asked.

Snape refused: "Alcohol will disrupt your mind, and I don't like the smell after drinking."

"How about some medicine?" Riddle suggested.

Seeing Snape's shocked expression, Riddle laughed, "Potions."

It seems that Snape experienced a lot of bad things while living here, so that when talking about medicine, Snape thought of that dirty thing instead of his favorite potion.

Snape instantly thought of several potions that could replace alcohol without paralyzing the brain.

He was obediently taken to a nearby residence by Riddle, who took out some materials from a small suitcase that had been cast with an invisible extension spell, set up a brand new crucible and began to brew the potion.

"Let me show you my cooking skills."

After saying this, both of them laughed. The two people who were using wands to press potions even used the word "craftsmanship".

In fact, wizards also use crucibles to boil some delicious sweet water, which has an effect similar to functional drinks or herbal tea in the Muggle world.

Snape watched Riddle's movements and could tell that his Potions skills were also very good. He watched Riddle add the ingredients gracefully and smoothly.

Watching intently.

He was afraid that Riddle had poisoned him.

"Here, try it." Riddle poured two glasses and handed one to Snape.

Snape took a sip and said, "It tastes good."

The only person who could use such expensive potion ingredients to "mix cocktails" is probably this person in front of me.

"Then drink more." Riddle cleaned the crucible, took a sip of the contents of his cup, and continued to brew the "Light and Floating" potion.

Snape took another sip.

"Aren't you going to ask how I found you?" Riddle asked Snape, who was starting to get a little "drunk" from the potion.

Snape asked in return, "Did you seek me out with malicious intent to harm me?"

"Of course not," Riddle replied quickly.

"Then there's no need to ask. Thank you for attending my parents' belated funeral." Snape felt his soul begin to rise, his reason faded, and his emotions took over.

Snape yawned, covering his lips.

"I'm sorry." Snape apologized for his previous gaffe.

He hadn't seen the Riddler speak before.

"It's okay, it's just the truth, isn't it?" Riddle winked at Snape.

Snape smiled and said jokingly, "I'll be too guilty to sleep."

"There's no need to feel guilty. The most important thing is that you get a good rest." Riddle poured Snape another glass.

Snape drank glass after glass, and Riddle acted as Snape's loyal brother who poured the wine for him.

I don’t know how many cups it was, but Snape was lying on the table, looking like he was about to fall asleep.

Riddle whispered, "Snape?"

"Yeah." Snape responded dazedly.

"Severus?" Riddle called again.

Snape buried his head in his arms, but still responded reluctantly: "Professor, I'm here."

"Sev." Riddle called Snape again with a smile.

"Have you been under some little name-calling spell?" Snape said impatiently.

Riddle was not angry. Instead, he thought Snape was cute when he acted like this. "I thought you would cry."

"...I don't know. My heart hurts a little, but I don't know whether I should cry." Snape touched his heart.

He still remembered that when he was a child, he vaguely remembered that Tobias had a kind father. Later, when they arrived at Spinner's End, Irene also gently hugged him and told him about the colorful magical world.

But later, such tender moments became less and less, and my parents' quarrels occupied most of my memories.

He was sad, but he felt that it was not worth crying.

Riddle sat next to Snape and counseled him softly, "If you feel sad, just cry. Feelings can't be described by whether they are worth it or not."

He had already rolled up his previous thoughts and suddenly felt that it would be better if Snape really cried.

Snape looked up at Riddle, and a tear rolled down his cheek as Riddle looked at him.

Riddle could hear his own heartbeat, and the tears seemed to hold so many beautiful images, fragile, beautiful, and sacred.

Snape represented those good intentions at this moment. He was wearing a black suit with a waist that showed how thin he was. A lily made of pearls was pinned on his collar, and his slightly long hair was tied to the side, falling on his shoulders.

He had black hair and black eyes, and his skin was not as pale as that of white people, but a pinkish white. It was obvious that he took good care of himself. Today, due to sadness, he was now bloodless, pale and numb. At this time, tears flowed from his black eyes, passed by his black hair, and finally moistened the corners of his lips.

Before this, he had always thought that tears were a symbol of stupidity and cowardice.
