Snape was reading a book in the pub while waiting for Riddle.
"Sev, sorry for the wait." Riddle put down what he was holding. He brought a dessert for Snape, a dessert that was not sweet.
He knew Snape's eating habits and he had no special requirements for food except that he would try to avoid eating a lot of high-calorie foods.
Desserts with huge amounts of sugar are not what Snape likes, but this kind of dessert that is not too sweet can bring people a sense of happiness and some psychological comfort.
A kind of psychological comfort that you have not consumed any high-calorie food.
In fact, there is still a huge amount of sugar in it.
"Thank you." Snape took the dessert and opened it. Inside were two servings of fruit pudding and fruit tea.
He had no preference for food and did not eat high-calorie food only because Peacock had requirements for his body shape. Later, Peacock found that it was really difficult for Snape to gain weight due to his physique, but Snape's eating habits had already been formed at that time.
"Here's a gift." Snape handed Riddle a small red velvet box.
Riddle opened it and inside was a ruby tie ring.
"I thought it suited you the first time I saw it," Snape explained.
"I like it very much. Can you help me take it with me?" Riddle really liked it.
Snape did not refuse. Today Riddle's tie was an Eldredge knot, a very formal knotting method, which was actually more suitable for high-end banquets. The relatively large knot was not suitable for tie rings, so Riddle matched it with a lapel chain.
Steady and elegant.
"You really don't have any plans today?" Snape asked doubtfully.
Riddle would only wear this peacock outfit on very formal occasions. If he wore it on a daily basis, it would be tiring if he had to worry too much about it.
"Yes, the plan today is to see you." Riddle said sincerely.
Snape felt that there was something wrong with this statement, but he couldn't tell what was wrong. However, he still did not refuse Riddle's request for him to help put on the tie ring.
Because if you want to wear a tie ring, you have to take the tie apart and tie it again. It is really difficult to tie a tie by yourself without a mirror. Snape was too lazy to stand up, so he asked Riddle to sit on the high chair in the tavern so that he could sit on the chair and tie Riddle's tie.
Riddle found Snape's little gesture of holding the table to move the wheeled chair towards him adorable.
He tilted his head back, even though he wanted to look down at Snape tying his tie. He thought it was cute when he thought about Snape's obsessive-compulsive disorder and how he would align it carefully, and maybe even think about how to tie it for others.
But no, even a handsome guy like him would have wrinkles on his neck if he really lowered his head, and he absolutely couldn't let Snape see it!
So he would rather not bow his head.
Snape had no idea why someone would stretch their neck straighter than a snake that had swallowed a stick, so he simply tied a suitable knot, buckled the tie loop, and called it a day.
"It really suits you." Although Snape didn't think he had a good aesthetic sense, this one was undoubtedly really beautiful.
"Thank you, I'll wear it often." Riddle touched the tie loop and said with a smile.
He wanted to ask Snape why he was short of money recently and whether he needed his help, but he didn't know how to tell Snape his identity, nor did he know how to let Snape ask him for help.
This is why he didn't let Lucius hide his identity. He wanted to tell Snape his identity through Lucius's mouth.
He had gone from being dissatisfied with not being able to see Snape's true appearance to being dissatisfied with Snape not knowing his true appearance.
But will Snape be disappointed when he finds out that he is Voldemort?
He began to feel unfair again. He was troubled by Snape. He wanted to know and get everything from him, but Snape didn't feel the same way.
He had completely forgotten how satisfied he was with Snape's attitude and how much he liked the tacit agreement of not asking about the other person's identity.
"What's wrong with you?" Snape felt that Riddle was suddenly in a bad mood.
It's a bit like when Lily is on her period, her moods are so changeable then.
Does Riddle have a period?
Riddle calmed himself down and said, "When I came here, I saw you frowning like an old man. Did you encounter any problems?"
Snape handed the notes in his hand to Riddle and scooped a mouthful of pudding himself.
Riddle read Snape's notes and asked, "Are you researching split souls?"
Riddle always knew that Snape had been studying the soul because of him, but he didn't expect that Snape had already started studying the splitting of the soul.
"Well, I saw a book about split souls in the forbidden section of the school, and I wanted to find out if there is any way to repair the soul." What Snape saw in the book copied by Peacock was, to be more precise, a joke told to Snape.
Snape continued without hearing Riddle's words. "But I haven't found a way to fuse them. I thought it was a process of decomposition and fusion, but I didn't expect there would only be division and no fusion. I don't understand why such a stupid method could be recorded in the book."
"Stupid?" Riddle didn't understand why Snape said that.
When he heard this, he realized that what Snape saw in the restricted section was not the book about Horcruxes that he was reading, but other books about split souls. That's how the restricted section is. There are many forbidden magics that can harm others and yourself if you are not careful.
There are also quite a few books about splitting souls, and although there is only one book about Horcruxes, there are many other dangers as well.
