Chapter 7 Friendship

"It suits your outfit quite well." Madara said sincerely, even feeling that Natsume's current ordinary outfit was a little unworthy of this gorgeous harp.

The silver-green harp with branches wrapped around it reminded Madara of Natsume's silver-green longbow with branches.

Later he found out that it was the same weapon, but it had changed shape.

Natsume used magic to make the harp float in front of him. After adjusting the height, he lowered his eyes and concentrated on playing. At this time, there was no noisy noise in the wind, and the sound of the harp with purifying power flowed through his fingertips.

The sound of the harp was heard, and the music was carried by the wind throughout the forest and even beyond.

Tanuma raised his head in a trance, he seemed to hear the sound of music.

The wind seemed to turn into a stream of water, flowing through his ears and through his entire body, washing away all the impurities that were blocking his body.

The fog in the forest gradually dissipated, and a huge catfish jumped out of the black pond.

"Guan Li!" Sandu waved happily: "Guan Li, do you see? I'm flying——"

Madara looked at the polluted Guanli who wanted to attack below, and felt that Sandu was a little too natural. Look, do people want to see you fly?

When the song ended, the mist dissipated, and Guan Su spat out the earth spirit that was parasitizing him. He slowly returned to his original form, a round, long-legged tadpole. Only then did Natsume take Sandu down.

Guanli seemed to have forgotten that he was possessed by the earth spirit because of resentment, and was just angry that Sandu had only come now.

Natsume only started to smile when he saw them playing around. They seemed to be very good friends.

"I'm going to meet my friends now, bye." Natsume said.

"Bye-bye - thank you, Natsume." Sandu bowed his head and thanked him.

"Don't bow to humans, idiot!" Guanli lay on Sandu's head angrily.

After bidding farewell to the brainless and unhappy couple, Natsume hugged Madara, plucked the harp, and the wind whirl that rose out of thin air took Natsume back to the station.

"Sorry to have kept you waiting." Natsume walked over and saw that Tanuma had fallen asleep holding the gem.

"Natsume! Did you hear the piano sound?" Tanuma said excitedly when he saw Natsume coming.

Natsume nodded: "I heard it, it sounds good."

"Well, it sounds very nice. Is it played by a monster?" asked Tanuma.

Natsume: "It's magic."

Tanuma didn't quite understand.

"Okay, we're going home." Natsume pulled Tanuma up.

He always sent Tanuma home. Natsume seemed to see himself before meeting Xiangling in this lonely child who was troubled by monsters, so he always took extra care of him.

Tanuma took off the amulet and put it on Natsume: "Thank you for the amulet, I am well protected."

Natsume touched the gem and said, "There is a blessing on it. It is very effective. I will make one for you someday."

"Is it okay?" Tanuma asked and quickly shook his head: "No, it would be too much trouble for you..."

"Of course, if you don't mind, just agree to me, because anything I propose is what I want to give to you. I will feel a little disappointed if you refuse." Natsume said sincerely.

This had happened to him and Xiangling before. He had rejected many of Xiangling's kindnesses out of shyness, which hurt Xiangling. It was Xiangling who asked Natsume if he didn't like her because he didn't accept her things. Natsume then realized that his well-intentioned rejection was actually hurtful to Xiangling.

"Just satisfy the mood I want to give you," Natsume added.

Tanuma's face flushed crimson, and after a long pause he finally said, "Then I'll be looking forward to it."

Natsume went back happily, leaving Tanuma stumbling all the way back home, and his father asked in confusion: "Have you been drinking?"

Madara looked at Natsume and thought to himself: This guy doesn't think there is anything wrong with what he says!

"I want to eat Nanatsujiya's snacks!" Madara said bluntly: "I'm really tired today."

"I held you in my arms most of the time today..." Although he said that, Natsume still bought some snacks for Madara, and of course for Uncle Shige and Aunt Tachibana.

After dinner, Natsume put the ticket back into the book he had read. Madara bit a dry piece of smoked fish to grind his teeth. "You said Reiko couldn't fulfill her promise because of an accident. You overestimated that girl. She just forgot."

"I don't think so." Natsume looked a little unhappy, and was stunned when he opened the book. Many train tickets fell out of the book.

"Oh, you still have a lot of debts to pay." Madara laughed.

Natsume put the ticket back and said seriously, "Is it true that I have difficulty studying because I inherited my grandmother's forgetfulness?"

"Don't accuse Reiko of this. She's just a low-achieving high school student with mediocre grades." Madara laughed at Natsume, and then a big bump appeared on his head "for no reason".

Natsume rubbed his hands and went to wash.
