Peacock asked Snape to buy potion materials, and then she experienced Snape's feelings in the clothing store -
Bored, irritated, and a little bit impressed, as if he was very powerful.
Like when Snape watched Peacock pontificate about the fabric and cut of the clothes.
"If you like them, buy them all. Making choices and giving up with pain are things adults do. Children just want them all!" Peacock really doesn't care about money in the human world, and has no concept of saving. As long as that little bit of money can support Snape until he can make money himself, that's enough.
Spend the rest however you want.
As for worrying about Snape not being able to find a job and make money when he grows up, Peacock would never have such an idea, because -
Her contractor will definitely shine!
Snape bought a lot of potion materials and bottles, as well as a few spare crucibles, which Peacock thoughtfully put away.
It was already late when they returned. Snape came out with a large bag. Irene didn't ask Snape if he had bought everything, nor did she ask him why he came back so late. She just left with Snape expressionlessly.
But before going home, Snape took out a piece of buttered bread in an oil paper bag.
"If you have any brains, you'll know that this money is not for buying bread." Irene frowned, and her mean face looked even more terrifying.
Snape stubbornly held out his hand, which Peacock had asked him to buy: "You haven't eaten yet."
Irene had given him all her money, so while Snape was shopping she just sat in the Leaky Cauldron and watched all sorts of strange people.
But no one bothered her. No one wanted to mess with a woman who looked crazy with a wand.
"No, you can eat it yourself." Irene pushed Snape's hand away: "Or take it to your little wizard friend and her Muggle sister."
Snape stubbornly reached out his hand and divided the bread into two equal halves through the oil paper bag, and gave one half to Irene.
This time Irene did not refuse. The mother and son finished eating the bread before returning to their dilapidated home with a smelly ditch at the door.
That magical world seemed like a dream of her memories.
After returning home, Snape excitedly asked Peacock to open a parallel space so that he could go in and brew the potion. Peacock opened a parallel space and she also wanted to pack her clothes for today.
However, before starting, the same procedures as before were followed. First, wash hands, rinse mouth, and change clothes. Since they were going to make potions, Peacock changed Snape into a robe with star patterns, and then tied a white apron with ruffles on him.
Snape looked at it for a while and said, "Whatever, as long as he can make the potion, it's fine."
According to the textbook, one of his first experiments was a simple potion to treat scabies. Snape succeeded easily, and it was not difficult for him at all.
Then the second one...
After the second potion was poured into the glass bottle, Snape was stopped by Peacock: "Go wash up and go to bed now."
"Can't it be extended a little?"
"No!" Peacock was firm.
Seeing that there was no hope, Snape put the potion away and went to rest.
As his brain, filled with potion knowledge, slowly calmed down, Snape, who was tired after a day, soon fell into a deep sleep.
Because he was too tired yesterday, Snape stayed in bed for a rare half hour before waking up.
Of course he wanted to brew the potion as soon as he woke up, but he also knew that Peacock would not agree to his request, so he happily slept for another half hour before getting up to wash up and read "One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi" which he bought from Flourish and Blotts. The history of Hogwarts that he had read before had become a thing of the past.
He didn't really like this textbook which had no practical application. He had read it before purely out of his admiration for Hogwarts and because he really had no other books to read.
Now that I have a new love, school history has immediately become a thing of the past.
Every day is the same: reading, having breakfast and playing with Lily on the grassy slope.
When Snape went over, Lily was already there. She looked very excited and uneasy. She swayed on the grass slope again and again, her red hair like a surging sunset.
Lily turned around and saw Snape. She grinned brightly and ran over excitedly: "Hey! Sev, how was your day yesterday!"
"Great!" Snape told Lily about his experiences in Diagon Alley and shared with her the candies he bought from the candy store in Diagon Alley.
This was bought by Peacock. She bought some of all kinds, but she really couldn't get used to the sweetness of the candies here. After wrapping them a little, she asked Snape to add them to the gifts for Lily and the others.
Yes, Peacock bought gifts for Lily and Lily's family, and carefully used different packaging to consider the exquisite gifts for different tastes. For example, the chocolate with liqueur filling was in a more stable brown-red color, marked as being for Lily's parents, while the others were in bright colors and were for Lily and Penny.
Snape didn't understand why he had to bring gifts for Lily's parents.
Peacock was speechless for a moment and asked, "Do you like Lily?"
Snape nodded.
"Do you like Penny?"
Snape shook his head and added, "It's not that I hate it, well, a little bit."
"Thank you so much for your sincere answer." Peacock was always afraid that he would get old if he communicated too much with Snape.
"Since you like Lily and want to be friends with her, why don't you leave a good impression on her family?" Peacock didn't understand. Fairies are naturally well-mannered and know to bring gifts when visiting friends' homes. When Luo Li introduced her to other friends, she also prepared gifts for Luo Li's friends.
