Chapter 9 Contradiction

"Severus Snape!"

Peacock was really angry, which was evident from the moment she started calling Snape's full name. She hadn't realized she could make such a serious sound.

Snape lowered his head. He couldn't argue this time. He really felt guilty.

The cause of the incident was that Snape was changing the potion formula. He has always been talented in potions, which is a fact visible to the naked eye, but this does not mean that he can change the formula so drastically at the age of eleven.

He thought he could make some changes to make the potion more perfect. The first change went smoothly, and the potion turned obediently in the crucible. He thought it was all right, but...

The originally silent potion suddenly splashed out. He instinctively wanted to dodge, but it was too late. Fortunately, Peacock reacted quickly and protected Snape with Mirror Light Guard, otherwise these potions would probably cause large-scale corrosion to his body.

Looking at the small pits corroded on the ground, Peacock was still frightened. If she had not been doing nothing else at the time and was just looking at Snape, she didn't dare to imagine what Snape would have become.

"Don't you have anything to say?" Peacock took a deep breath, thinking that this might be retribution for what he had done before. How could he have such a contractor, such a troublesome guy.

Snape lowered his head and thought for a moment. "There shouldn't be any splashing accidents. I should be able to stop this change and allow it to continue to flow slowly in the crucible."

Peacock:……

"Nothing else?" Peacock asked in disbelief.

"I don't want to just follow what's in the textbook all my life. The steps in the textbook are all the same as what 80% of people can do. I want my own unique formula. I want to improve. I want to do things that 80% of people can't do. Just reading from the textbook will never make progress.

Since I want to innovate, getting hurt is inevitable, and I am ready for it.

This level of corrosion can be cured with a healing potion made from white savory essence and horkrup juice.

I respect you, but you can't stop me from pursuing potions. I can feel that this is my ideal and the love of my life." Snape looked directly at Peacock with a firm gaze.

Peacock felt aggrieved again. She was sincerely worried about Snape, but she was spoken to so rudely, as if her concern was a stumbling block in his pursuit of perfection in potions.

"Okay! Go pursue your potion! I'm meddling in your business!" Peacock turned and left angrily.

Snape used his wand to clean up the mess and put away the materials and bottles. He knew that the best way now was to go find Peacock and apologize, but he didn't want to.

He sat there blankly, and when he saw the moon sitting on the treetops, Snape opened the door and went out.

Snape passed through the chaotic streets where rats outnumbered people and came to Lily's house. Lily told him where her home was. He even knew which room Lily's was. There was a pot of grass in front of that window. The grass was an unknown seed that Lily had obtained. She happily planted it expecting an unknown flower to bloom, but it turned out to be just grass seeds.

Later, Lily thought that the green potted plants looked beautiful, so she planted them in front of the window.

He first passed a paper crane to test whether Lily was asleep. After a while, Lily opened the window and looked at Snape outside in surprise: "Oh my God, I thought it was my Romeo!" Lily made a joke to ease Snape's embarrassment.

After a while, Lily opened the door and came out: "Are we going to look for the night fairy?"

"Lily, I need your help." Snape finally decided to ask Lily for help. Unlike Snape, she was very good at interpersonal communication.

"Please tell me, I will do my best to help you." Lily dragged Snape to sit on the bench in the yard.

"I had an argument with someone," Snape stated dryly.

Lily nodded and waited for the rest of the story, but saw that Snape had no intention of continuing.

"Dear Mr. Snape, you don't think I can know everything from this one sentence, do you?" Lily sighed.

Snape told the truth that he had changed the potion formula and the potion splashed and almost hurt himself, then Peacock helped him block it. He said that being splashed could also be treated, but now Peacock is angry and ignores him.

Only then did Lily notice that Snape came out wearing loose and comfortable home clothes.

She was silent for a while, and finally sighed: "You two are not even arguing on the same page!"

Snape stared at Lily in confusion.

Lily laughed: "It turns out that Sev also has things he is not good at. He is not omnipotent."

"Of course I'm not." Snape was bewildered.

"At first she was just scared that you did something unsure and almost hurt yourself. She wasn't angry, but after you said that, she was really angry.

"Your words were like throwing her worries to the ground, stepping on them twice, and then saying that she doesn't need your concern." Lily explained to Snape, and was also curious about what kind of girl Snape was talking about.

It was the first time I heard Snape talk about her, which made him rush over so anxiously to ask if there was any way to make her happy.

Snape's eyes widened and his face paled for a moment: "I didn't! That's not what I meant!"

Lily patted Snape's shoulder, telling him to calm down. "I know you don't mean that, but she doesn't know. Can you tell me what you think?"

"I am very determined to become a Potions Master, which will inevitably require me to change the potion formulas or make my own potions. This will inevitably lead to injuries. If I take that path, it will be impossible for me to reach the end without any injuries. I want to reassure her that these injuries can be treated and she doesn't need to worry too much." Snape expressed his thoughts.
