Chapter 037 Chapter 37
Taylor entered the coffee shop and saw the boss of Amei Company who was about to wake up.
"Ah what?"
Amei's boss seemed to have a dream, dancing and talking in his sleep.
His voice was not loud and his words were unclear, but he said it several times.
Taylor walked up to him and pushed him twice to wake him up.
He shivered, as if he had just woken up from a nightmare, or as if someone had just poured a basin of cold water on his head, and then he opened his eyes.
After opening his eyes, he was stunned for a moment, as if he was adapting to the dim light in front of him, and then he slowly moved his eyes and saw Taylor standing in front of him.
He seemed startled, but soon realized that the person in front of him had no ill intentions. He also felt that this person was a bit like the two foundation staff members he had met before, so he reluctantly put his mind at ease.
He sat up from the chair and looked around. There were no people around. He wiped his face and felt as if he had not slept at all, because there was no change after waking up.
In particular, he still felt very sleepy and wanted to sleep for another day. He was not relaxed emotionally. When he thought about the things that worried him before going to bed, he looked at the time and saw that it had been a while.
He couldn't let it go even more.
"Are you from the foundation?"
Boss Amei looked at Taylor and asked.
"I am. The matter is over. You don't have to pay and the information will not be leaked because the foundation has handled it."
Taylor pulled the corner of his mouth and showed a creepy smile without any smile.
"Great, can I ask who did it? If the person is not caught, that person is likely to do it again."
Boss Amei clapped his hands happily, then sat upright, looking at Taylor with burning eyes.
"It involves the confidentiality regulations of the foundation. I can't tell you. I'm sorry, please don't ask anymore. You can go home and rest now."
The smile on Taylor's face gradually disappeared, and he lowered his eyes and read out the script.
Boss Amei wiped his face, nodded, stood up with the help of the table and chair, and said, "You are right. I should go home now. It's so late, how can I not go home?"
He smiled, his legs became weak, and he sat back down. After a while, he stood up again, but before he took a step out, he sat down again, as if entering a cycle.
Taylor stood by and looked at him quietly. After a while, he asked, "Do you need help?"
"Okay, please take me home. You should know where my home is, right? It's easy for the foundation to know where I live, and the last person from the foundation went to my home."
Boss Amei nodded and smiled at him.
"Even if I don't know, you should know that I'm just taking you home, not driving you, so I don't need to know the way. Is your mind clear?"
Taylor looked at him and asked.
"You're right, let's leave here now."
Boss Amei nodded.
Taylor followed him. He walked in front, and after a while, he turned his head to look, as if he was afraid that the person behind him would suddenly disappear.
Taylor walked to his side, so that he could use the corner of his eye to confirm that there was someone here, and finally he wouldn't look back while walking, but with a bang, he hit a pillar.
He covered his head, squatted down, and groaned twice.
"What is this?"
Boss Amei asked in a daze.
"It's a pillar."
Taylor was very calm.
"Why is there a big pillar on the road for no reason?"
Boss Amei rubbed his head and tilted his neck to look.
"Aren't the telephone poles and street lights on the road?"
Taylor said calmly.
"Okay."
Boss Amei stood up, thought for a while, and suddenly said, "I have a driver, I can ask the driver to pick me up."
He made a phone call, but the call didn't go through.
"Maybe it was too late and I fell asleep, so I didn't answer. It seems I have to walk back. Unless I can take a taxi, but even if there is a taxi, it can only go to the gate of the villa community."
Boss Amei sighed.
Taylor nodded.
At this time, a slightly white taxi drove over from the road.
The car stopped beside them, closer to Boss Amei.
The car window slowly dropped down.
The dark interior of the car and the driver's face, who was looking out with his head tilted, were revealed behind the window.
The street light shone inward, and one could see a black safety belt on the driver's body, which pressed the driver's body against the chair, as if he was very safe.
The driver called out to Boss Amei from a distance and asked, "Do you want to get in the car? I can give you a discount."
"Great, a car appeared just when I wanted it. I'll get in right away. I can't wait to go home. I'm really sleepy."
Boss Amei walked over happily, reached out and grabbed the door handle, trying to open it.
It didn't open the first time, and he was a little confused.
The driver smiled and pressed a button.
The door opened all of a sudden.
Boss Amei sat happily in the co-pilot's seat.
He was still sitting inside, closing the door, and waving to Taylor who was standing next to him: "You come up too, why don't you move?"
"Since you're already in the car, I don't think it's dangerous, so I won't see you off. Let the car take you to the gate of the community, and go back by yourself."
Taylor stood motionless on the side of the road and looked at him.
Boss Amei hesitated for a moment, nodded and smiled: "Okay, I'm leaving."
"Goodbye."
Taylor nodded.
"You should also go to bed early."
Boss Amei waved his hand.
"Can we go now?"
The driver was ready to drive and asked.
"We can go now."
Boss Amei nodded and told him his address.
The driver immediately rolled up the window and drove out while telling Boss Amei to put on her seat belt and check if the door was closed.
After the car drove a long distance, it was still quiet all around.
Tian Shuo showed up stealthily.
"I didn't expect you to be here."
Tian Shuo smiled with relief.
"I don't think you can't find me."
Taylor smiled very calmly.
"Indeed, you are like a pearl in the dark. Even if we are blind, we can't fail to find you."
Tian Shuo smiled and nodded.
"Did you bring the things?"
Taylor asked after taking a look at the package in his hand.
Tian Shuo nodded, opened the package, and presented the contents with both hands, saying, "This is a book of the demon clan. All the records about the demon king are inside."
In the package was a thick book, the surface of which was coated with a layer of dark vermilion like dried blood. There were no handwritings, and a stack of yellowed paper was sandwiched between the book covers. It looked very old.
Taylor picked up the book. The book was unexpectedly heavy, at least twenty pounds.
Fortunately, Taylor was not weak, otherwise he would not be able to hold it and would drop the book to the ground.
"Is this the only one?"
Taylor held the book with one hand and flipped it with the other hand, glancing at the contents and asked casually.
"There are some other things, but their sources are unknown, there is no basis, and the contents are very explosive, so I didn't bring them."
Tian Shuo lowered his head and answered cautiously.
"Have you seen it?"
Taylor suddenly smiled amiably.
"I've heard a little bit and seen a little bit, the rumor is true."
Tian Shuo blinked and didn't realize that he had dug a hole for himself.
"What did it say?"
Taylor raised his eyebrows and asked.
"It is said that you once snatched a mortal to be your partner in ancient times. The mortal was depressed all day long. In order to keep him, you gave birth to a child for him, but he still left.
And you took the child with you.
Since then, you have been depressed, indifferent to the world, and your whereabouts are unknown.
This is just one of them.
Do you still want to listen?"
Tian Shuo looked at him and asked cautiously.
"It's outrageous."
Taylor sighed.
"We all think it's outrageous, so we thought that there's no need to pollute your eyes with such things, so we didn't bring it."
Tian Shuo breathed a sigh of relief.
"Okay."
Taylor nodded.
"One more thing. Tiger tribe leader, I heard that you're back, so I specially brought the tribe's treasure to you."
Tian Shuo stammered.
"What is it? Let me see it."
Taylor stretched out his hand and said.
"This is a celestial mirror that you personally collected materials and asked the best instrument refiner to refine in ancient times.
It can peek into memory and even change the past."
Tian Shuo bowed his head respectfully and handed the thing over with both hands.
"In that case, it's mine, how did it fall into their hands?"
Taylor looked at him calmly, as if there was infinite pressure, which made it difficult to guess.
"You gave this to them for safekeeping before you left. They swore to return it in its original state. Now that you're back, the things should be here."
Tian Shuo bent slightly and wiped his sweat quietly.
"Why did I leave?"
Taylor tilted his head and looked at him and asked.
"I don't know, but most of the monsters think that you were depressed after losing your beloved, and didn't want to be disturbed, so you went to seek reincarnation."
Tian Shuo hesitated and smiled.
"Most of the monsters' knowledge comes from unofficial history?"
Taylor suddenly became curious.
"The monsters generally don't record, and what they can write down is not too detailed, and it is impossible to really ask the person concerned.
Therefore, the monster book, an important item known to many monsters, is mostly recorded by the recorder. Guess."
Tian Shuo blinked carefully and said.
"Did the Tiger Chieftain say anything else besides asking you to pass this thing on to me?"
Taylor asked, playing with the small mirror in his hand.
"Nothing."
Tian Shuo thought for a moment and shook his head.
"You can go now."
Taylor waved his hand.
Tian Shuo left quickly.
Meanwhile, the Tiger Chieftain was discussing with the Tiger Elder in the secret room.
"That was given to us by the former Demon King! How can you pass it on so easily? You haven't seen the current one, so who knows if it's the same one as before?"
The elder stared at him with anger.
"As long as the thing is in his hands, he will be able to tell. Why are you in such a hurry?"
The Chieftain looked at him calmly.
"If it's fake, it will be eaten by the Sky-penetrating Mirror. If it's real, it can prove its identity?"
The elder rolled his eyes and suddenly understood.
"Yes."
The Chieftain smiled slowly.
