The final product of the extra
"Aren't I dead?" Sheffield stretched out his right hand and moved his fingers as if he was grabbing something. His eyes were full of confusion and he looked around dully.
What he saw was a cyberpunk scene. Even though he was knowledgeable and experienced, he couldn't find the corresponding equipment for many things. The flashing lights indicated that the equipment was still working.
At this moment, the metal automatic door was opened, and a tall figure floated in. Sheffield couldn't help but look at him, his face dulled for a moment. This was not the rebirth that the slave owner had imagined. He knew this person.
"It's you?" Sheffield's face was full of disbelief. He had seen this person in front of him twice in his life, once in Australia and once in the Soviet Union. Thinking of this, the slave owner admired his powerful memory.
"It's me. From an ordinary person's perspective, your memory is pretty good." Shelov whistled frivolously and asked with curiosity in his eyes, "Is there anything else you want to ask?"
Eh? Sheffield regained his composure. Indeed, he still had many questions that he wanted answered. He blurted out, "What is this place?"
"Space!" Sherov grinned, obviously very happy to answer this question, and even had a tendency to chatter on and on. "As for you, you died of illness in 1963. I resurrected you and gave you the opportunity to continue your perfect life. From this point of view, you, the great slave owner, should thank me."
Sheffield sat up straight abruptly, his expression calm. "You think I will believe you? This is something that technology can do? It's not scientific at all."
"Science cannot explain why you lived in the 19th century. It can only be said that the level of science you experienced had not yet developed to the point where it could explain it." Sherov looked at the great slave owner indifferently and changed the subject, "To me, your life is a real-life movie. Is it similar to The Truman Show? Although this movie had not appeared when you were alive, another memory in your mind will tell you a logically consistent answer."
Shelov sat on a chair in mid-air, but he stood up straight, as if he was interrogating a poor guy who had just made a mistake. As for the thoughts of the slave owner in front of him, nothing escaped his mind.
Almost at the same time Sheffield was about to speak, Shelov spoke in a knowing tone, "Have you figured it out? Dear big slave owner, enemy of the entire proletariat? You have the opportunity to start over again and live a good life. What else are you dissatisfied with?"
"What is your purpose? Why did you give me life again?" Sheffield asked the question in his mind.
"Good question!" Shelov's eyes flashed with a trace of thought, and he said uncertainly, "Your position and mine are two extremes. It took me a lot of effort to find the time and space you are in, but you make me very disappointed. Simply put, your appearance has made the world more stagnant. You know the character of monopoly capitalists better than I do. I don't need to say anything. When it is profitable, monopoly capitalists are not incapable of leading social progress, but vested interests will never consider making civilization develop better. As a bastion of capitalism, the stronger the United States becomes, the more it will be a disaster for the entire human society."
Sheffield remained silent. He knew in his heart that if the man in front of him could be called a human being, then what he said was absolutely correct. The vested interests pursue stability, never change. He did the same when he was in the United States. Once the United States seized world hegemony, it would naturally maintain stability.
"I have reborn in a different time and space. I am your predecessor. I am even more successful than you." Shelov said with an attitude of taking the lead. "You can live in the United States and have such a superior family background. You are born one step faster than others. You should thank me. Unfortunately, you and your grandfather have disappointed me. The butt determines the head, but you have gone too far. I have to punish you."
"You like socialism?" Sheffield said in disbelief. "Did I hear you right? When you have a better foundation than others, the first thing you think about is not yourself, but the benefit of all mankind."
Amid Sheffield's laughter, Shelov frowned slightly and asked abruptly, "Why not? I heard your last words before you died. You want to be a big producer, right? I can make your wish come true."
"Would I trust a communist?" Sheffield shuddered when he heard this, and subconsciously felt that things would not be that simple.
"My abilities are far beyond your imagination!" After saying this, Shelov waved his hand, and the entire cabin became transparent. Sheffield looked at this scene in shock, and then he realized that he was indeed in a space capsule, and below him was a planet, and there was a much smaller satellite accompanying it.
"Look at what a magnificent view." Shelov was inspired and jumped off his chair to look at the planet not far away. The entire surface of the planet was covered by the ocean, but it was a dazzling purple. Suddenly, he said to Sheffield, who was determined to become a terminal producer, "I said this is the Earth, do you believe it?"
Regardless of Sheffield's stunned reaction, Sherov's gaze returned to the purple Earth, with some spots showing red, where volcanoes were erupting. The Earth was once purple. In fact, during the early days of life on Earth, plants used a more primitive molecule to control sunlight. All photosynthetic plants on Earth were bright purple at one point.
"Look how good I am to you. I have found an era for you where no one can stop you from becoming a finalist. The Great Oxidation Event will begin soon. Not only can you become a finalist, but you can even develop along with Earth history. If anyone dares to say you are not a finalist, I will be the first to disagree." Shelov showed a terrifying smile and looked at the great slave owner in front of him. "Don't worry, the reason why I have what I have today is entirely due to the development of science. Forget about others, but for a finalist like you, I am very willing to let you live longer so that your hard work as a finalist will not be in vain."
"You want to lock me up on this planet?" Sheffield gritted his teeth as if he was falling into an icy cave. "This is just a huge prison. You can't even let me die. You'll keep me under control forever."
"I must correct you. You have also learned similar knowledge. Perpetual motion machines do not exist. Nothing is eternal. And now I want to add one more thing." Sherov coughed softly. "But there are many things that last forever. Compared with the birth of the universe, you can live longer. It can be regarded as my compensation for your life."
"You bastard!" Sheffield looked at Shelov's background angrily. He just wanted to reach out and grab the other person, but found that his palm passed through the other person's body and could not touch him at all.
Sheffield still didn't want to believe what the other party said, but then, the entire space capsule heard a sound of unhooking. It fell off an unpredictable five-pointed star mothership and fell straight towards the earth. Sheffield's voice could no longer be heard from the space capsule.
In the command room, a light curtain slowly appeared, and finally turned into a female figure, who said, "Isn't it just this person that makes you unhappy? As for why you went to all the trouble to come to the Earth of this era, are you going to throw him down?"
"Look at what you said, Rosa!" Shelov said lazily, leaning back on the backrest. "The two extremes of the enemy and I cannot coexist peacefully. Class issues exist at all times and places. Even if this slave owner is still here, he agrees with me."
"But according to my calculations, the Great Oxidation Event will break out within a million years, and the Earth will become an ice planet and enter the Huron Sickness Era. Moreover, this universe is very dangerous, and there are various civilizations in the Milky Way." Rosa frowned vividly and said softly, "You are treating the Earth at this time as a prison to imprison this monopoly capitalist."
"The final product didn't come for nothing. What kind of final product is he if he can't protect his own property? Didn't I throw him down with the space capsule? He can't die." Shelov said nonchalantly, "Isn't it good to let him grow with the earth? If not, we can see the birth of dinosaurs and witness the battle between dragons and beasts."
"Okay, in the past I would have wiped out such a person, but locking him up is already a good thing for him." Shelov waved his hand, glanced at the purple planet not far away, and said, "Let's go back."
"I will be free one day." Looking at the snow outside, a scene of ice and snow, Sheffield said to himself with a firm gaze. He almost forgot how long the white had appeared in his eyes.
As if hearing the call of its master, a synthesized voice suddenly sounded, "You have been on Earth for 200 million years, dear sir. You are in very good health and can live for at least another 3 billion years. It will be no problem for you to witness the emergence of humans and finally break out of the Earth. The premise is that you must protect this planet from being invaded by alien civilizations. Good luck, final product."
This is a spin-off. I originally wanted it to be the first chapter of a new book, but then I remembered that I had been to a science fiction channel before, so I decided not to focus on science fiction because I don’t have the talent for it.
My new book is still history! It’s about Britain.
Let me tell you what I have been doing recently. I was supposed to publish a new book in early September, but I mentioned before that I was in the hospital.
Actually, to put it simply, after I finished the book, I fought a battle, lost the battle, was hospitalized, and was discharged in early September. But my injuries were not healed.
There are still some follow-ups, such as the police handling the matter. So I can't open a new book before the matter is finished. If I open a new book, I will be detained and the person who stopped updating will be gone, which is not good either.
Anyway, I estimate that it will be finished by the end of the month. Even if it is not finished yet, I will definitely start the book by then.
