Chapter 48. Feng Xingyun has completely forgotten the original...
Feng Xingyun had completely forgotten his original platonic plan and could no longer suppress his desire to be intimate with Liu Duanhe.
Liu Duanhe was so overwhelmed by his sweet talk that he stiffened for a moment but still inexplicably acquiesced to his approach. He looked down and touched Feng Xingyun's buzz cut with his long fingers. "Why did you shave your hair so short again?"
Feng Xingyun smiled smugly, revealing his sharp canine teeth. "I need to look even more intimidating so they won't dare to steal my man."
He clearly placed himself entirely in the position of Liu Duanhe's boyfriend.
A buzz cut or a shaved head without any wispy bangs to frame the face is a hairstyle that puts one's looks to the test. It's a double-edged sword, making the ugly even uglier and the good-looking even better. If not done well, it can easily make you look like you've just been released from prison.
Liu Duanhe touched his short hair again; it felt firm, bouncy, and supple. Luckily, Feng Xingyun was the latter, which helped him pull off the hairstyle.
He felt as if he were seeing the golden retriever he had raised when he was a child, so affectionate and clingy that Liu Duanhe sighed with a touch of tenderness.
Don't hesitate to give him more reassurance: "No one can steal me away, as long as you don't betray me."
Liu Duanhe's hair had only been styled briefly during the half-holiday; it hadn't been cut short and had grown quite long. His bangs were parted in the middle, partially obscuring his eyebrows and eyes. At this moment, his tone was slightly lazy, exuding a dashing and unrestrained handsomeness that was completely different from his usual self.
With a gentle smile, Liu Duanhe almost mesmerized Feng Xingyun. Liu Duanhe's hair was now practically medium-length, and he was the first man with long hair he had ever seen in real life. Because of Liu Duanhe's tall stature and obviously masculine handsome features, he was not mistaken for a woman, but rather had a touch of gentleness.
In short, it fits Liu Duanhe's temperament very well, and even makes him seem like a gentle yet aloof artist.
"I would never change my mind, and I hope that one day I will not have a good end." Feng Xingyun's expression became serious.
After laughing, Liu Duanhe lifted Feng Xingyun's chin, stared into his eyes, and used his slender, pale fingers to support his cheek. He then slowly pressed his fingers into Feng Xingyun's mouth, touching his sharp teeth. "It sounds fierce, like it might bite."
The texture was initially moist and soft, followed by a sharp, hard feel, which was quite novel to Liu Duan.
Feng Xingyun wasn't angry, but his breathing became rapid.
Liu Duanhe did not continue. Her smile gradually faded as she pushed him away and went to the bathroom in the room to wash her hands.
"Okay, I believe you today." Liu Duanhe could easily say all sorts of pleasant things, but he didn't want to say any of those nice words to someone who was staring at him intently and admiring him.
He made no attempt to conceal his suspicion and distrust, while also believing that even if he said that, Feng Xingyun would not leave now.
The sound of clear water made the room exceptionally quiet. Although both of them were present, only their breathing could be heard. Liu Duanhe slowly and meticulously washed his hands, his expression utterly calm.
He looked up and met the dark eyes behind him in the mirror. Feng Xingyun had appeared behind him from the doorway at some point.
He straightened up, tilted his head slightly, and asked, "Are you angry?"
Feng Xingyun was not as sarcastic as usual. Instead, he remained silent for a moment in response to his question, staring into his eyes in the mirror before softly saying, "Don't be angry."
Liu Duanhe gazed at him, puzzled. "Why?" Anyone would feel uncomfortable if someone told them they didn't trust them, let alone someone they loved.
Feng Xingyun leaned forward slightly, as if to embrace him. Liu Duanhe frowned. Perhaps his mood had worsened since Feng Xingyun uttered those words of distrust. He took a step forward in resistance to avoid him.
Beneath his refined, polite, and patient exterior lies a weary and exhausted soul. His unpredictable temperament is like the ever-changing summer weather; his mood can suddenly plummet. However, he never vents his emotions on others, so he can only bear the pressure of his feelings alone.
Feng Xingyun once again took a forceful step forward, firmly locking his arm and holding him tightly in his arms. His burning body temperature made Liu Duanhe, who had already given up, struggle, but then he was unable to move.
"Because I only care about you. You did nothing wrong. It is my actions that should make you feel at ease to entrust your trust to me."
Liu Duanhe squinted at him and said, "You've made quite a few promises to me. I'm a person who takes things seriously. If you break those promises, I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life."
His threatening words, however, sounded incredibly comforting to Feng Xingyun. At least this showed that Liu Duanhe hadn't just laughed off his words like he would to others, but had actually taken them to heart.
He never intended to break his promise, so he wasn't afraid of Liu Duanhe's threats. If he didn't have a guilty conscience, why would he worry about something that couldn't possibly happen? Those who think such remarks are extreme and scary probably prepared to leave and betray from the beginning. Naturally, they would frantically slander him out of their guilty conscience.
At this moment, Feng Xingyun felt exactly that way, and all he felt for Liu Duanhe was pity and love.
Seeing that he didn't seem to mind at all, Liu Duanhe smiled meaningfully. He wasn't just talking empty words. He loved those who wanted them to live and hated those who wanted them to die. He never bothered to give those who betrayed him a good ending. Adults have to take responsibility for their words and deeds.
Feng Xingyun's hold loosened with joy, his hard arms softening considerably. Liu Duanhe broke free and took a step toward the side door. He pulled out a washcloth to wipe his hands, changing the subject, "What were you busy with today that made you late?"
He followed Liu Duanhe out of the bathroom, sat down on a chair, and looked around regretfully. Unfortunately, there were only single chairs, no sofas.
Unlike the exterior, Liu Duanhe's room was decorated in a minimalist European style, which was perhaps the style he truly preferred. Feng Xingyun secretly kept this in mind.
He took the box out of his pocket and opened it gently. "I think we're dating after all, so we should have some kind of ceremony."
"So I ordered two watches to surprise you. Do you have a favorite designer for the ring?"
Liu Duanhe raised an eyebrow and took the box from his hand. The dazzling mechanical watch looked understated yet luxurious, perfectly matching his social attire requirements.
He was a little surprised, after all, Feng Xingyun was not a very considerate person to him, yet he was able to pick out such a gift that suited his taste.
Different people require different attitudes, so Liu Duanhe made no attempt to hide his joy and delight, his eyes crinkling with laughter. He wiped the wrist with an alcohol wipe and put the gift on, saying, "I really like it, thank you for the gift."
