Chapter 24 As Funny as a Monkey Show
"Let me go, let me go."
Jiang Siyan tried to break free, but he didn't know if the problem was with the wine he had just drunk or with these old women.
His body was so weak and he couldn't muster any strength. The old women swarmed around him and forcibly took him to a room upstairs.
Outside the clubhouse.
Inside the black Bentley.
Yingyue's phone vibrated; she had received a message.
He glanced down, then turned back to report, "Master, it's done."
"Hmm." Gu Jinyuan closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair, his expression unchanged.
Yingyue's phone vibrated again. "Boss, there's a live stream. Do you want to watch it?"
Upon hearing this, Gu Jinyuan opened his eyes, and Yingyue brought up the live stream and showed it to him.
Gu Jinyuan glanced at it listlessly and then looked away. "Keep the video and post it in the aristocratic circles."
"Yes, Master." Yingyue put away her phone and sat obediently in the driver's seat, waiting for orders.
Gu Jinyuan stared blankly at the night view before him, and only spoke after a long while.
"What exactly does she like about that man? He's such a scumbag, so despicable, why is she still so hung up on him?"

He replied cautiously, "It might be her first love; there's always a healing process. Master, why don't we give Madam some time to let her gradually forget?"

"Your eyes are sensitive to light? That's perfect, I'll turn off the lights and we can have a candlelight dinner!"
Before Su Ruan could say anything more, all the lights in the living room and kitchen were turned off.
Two candlesticks appeared on the dining table, their flames flickering softly.
Su Ruan, wearing sunglasses, was suddenly plunged into darkness, making it difficult to see anything.
Gu Jinyuan walked up to Su Ruan, took off her sunglasses, and massaged her shoulders with his large hands.
"My wife has worked so hard. I don't have much skill, so I can only cook some food at home to make you happy. Try this, it's pork rib soup that I've been simmering all afternoon, see how it tastes?"
Gu Jinyuan offered Su Ruan a bowl of soup with both hands. Su Ruan mechanically took it, smelled it, and said, "Mmm, it smells so good! Your cooking is really good. Have you studied it?"

"When I was a child, I was abused by my stepfather and stepmother and had no food to eat. I would often sneak into the kitchen to find food. At first, I didn't know how to cook, so I ate some raw food. Later, I hid and watched the chefs cook, and slowly I learned to cook for myself."
"At least I didn't starve, and this is all the cooking I've managed to learn. But it's very rough; I can't make fancy food. Honey, please don't mind!"
After Gu Jinyuan finished speaking, he looked up and gave Su Ruan a bitter smile.
Su Ruan's heart sank slightly, and she reached out to touch Gu Jinyuan's head.
"Don't think about it anymore, let bygones be bygones. Just stay with me obediently, and I'll never let you go hungry again."
"Yes, I know my wife is good to me."

Just as she put down the spoon and covered her mouth, Gu Jinyuan leaned in, cupped her cheeks, removed her small hand, and kept blowing air into her mouth.
"How are you feeling? Any better?"
Su Ruan stiffened, the scent of fir trees lingering around her nose.
The smell was cold, but the surrounding air was scorching hot, and even his breath carried a wave of heat.
She hurriedly stepped back, trying to put the bowl back on the table, but she didn't put it down properly. The bowl tilted, and the soup spilled out.
"careful."
The two shouted at the same time. Gu Jinyuan raised his thigh to block, and Su Ruan also tried to push his body away.
And so, her little hand touched his thigh again.
The two of them froze for a moment, their eyes meeting.
A graceful atmosphere rose, and Gu Jinyuan slowly lowered his head.
Su Ruan suddenly pushed him away, "My eyes are better now, let's turn on the light, I can't see anything here."
With a snap, the lights came back on, sweeping away the indescribable atmosphere from before.
She looked around, grabbed a rag from the kitchen to clean up the mess, but inadvertently noticed a red welt on the man's thigh by the table.

Su Ruan threw down the rag and, without thinking, dragged Gu Jinyuan under the tap, urging him to lift his thighs into the sink.
Gu Jinyuan wanted to refuse, but seeing Su Ruan's anxious face, he did not resist at all and did as she asked.
Su Ruan turned on the tap to rinse the burn with cool water, then turned around to get burn ointment from the first-aid kit.
When she returned to the kitchen and saw the scene clearly, she belatedly realized that Gu Jinyuan's action was far too alluring.
He was only wearing shorts, and his two long, straight legs were now one upright and the other bent in the sink.
