Chapter 59 I Have Someone I Like
The early morning sunlight seeped in through the gaps in the curtains. Pei Shuyu rubbed her face habitually, rubbed against the person next to her, hugged the softness, and closed her eyes again that had not been fully opened.
After what happened last night, Pei Shuyu was so clingy and adorable that the flesh on her cheeks squeezed out, and Ji Yan reached out to poke her.
The sleepy man showed no reaction.
Ji Yan applied a little more strength and poked again.
This time Pei Shuyu reacted. She stretched out her hand and slapped Ji Yan in the face. Ji Yan dodged quickly, so the slap landed on her own face.
Pei Shuyu gasped and lit up: "It hurts."
Ji Yan looked at her innocently and said with a smile, "You hit yourself, you can't blame me."
Pei Shuyu, who had just woken up, was not fully conscious yet. She only remembered that she had confirmed her relationship with this man yesterday and kissed him for a long time.
She rested her head on the chest of the person next to her, listening to his or her heartbeat, and grabbed the clothes on her chest with her fingers, rubbing them together.
Ji Yan didn't know what she was going to do. She silently felt the hand moving on her body, slowly moving down, hooking the hem of her pajamas, and the warm fingers went in first.
Ji Yan's solar plexus jumped.
Pei Shuyu smiled slightly, and her palm touched the skin under the clothes. The delicate touch made her unable to help but pinch it.
Ji Yan has the habit of exercising, which makes her body firm and full of vitality.
Pei Shuyu didn't dare to go up, let alone down, and just stayed in that small area, either tapping gently or pinching, having a lot of fun.
Ji Yan: "Is it nice to touch?"
Such words could only be thought of in the mind, how could one say them directly? Pei Shuyu opened one eye and said something against his will: "It's okay."
Ji Yan held her hand through her clothes: "Really?"
Pei Shuyu curled her lips. How could this person be so stingy? Did he have to be praised before he could continue to touch her? Unlike her, she was very generous. Even if Ji Yan didn't praise her, she was willing to let him touch her.
Well, after such a comparison, the difference is obvious.
Ji Yan is not as good as her in this regard.
Ji Yan couldn't see her expression, but the hand on her abdomen struggled to free itself and pinched her much faster, as if venting its anger.
Ji Yan: "Why aren't you talking?"
Pei Shuyu tsks, "How stingy! If you don't want me to touch you, then I won't touch you."
That's what he said, but there was no sign of the hand withdrawing at all.
Ji Yan stroked the back of her head, a little amused: "When did I tell you not to touch me?"
Did she ever express this clearly in any of her sentences? Why did this person still like to misinterpret her meaning?
After chatting for a few sentences, Pei Shuyu regained consciousness. She raised her head slightly, shook it, and sat up while leaning against Ji Yan's lower abdomen.
The messy hair covered her face. Pei Shuyu casually pushed it aside, her back bent. "What time is it?"
Ji Yan: "It's still early, just after eight o'clock."
Pei Shuyu shuddered, "Eight o'clock!" But she quickly realized, "Oh, yes, we graduated."
I've graduated, but it still feels unreal when I think about it.
She rubbed her cheeks, fell down, and relaxedly touched the mobile phone on the side. She glanced at it habitually, put it down, hugged Ji Yan, closed her eyes and continued to sleep.
She wants to make up for all the sleep she missed in her senior year of high school.
When I woke up, the seat next to me was empty. I didn't know when Ji Yan had gotten up.
That’s right, this person is not like her, who likes to sleep in.
Pei Shuyu put on her slippers and went to the bathroom to wash up.
"Awake?" Ji Yan, carrying two bags, passed by the living room and saw someone sprawled on the sofa with one leg dangling in the air. "Don't order takeout for lunch. I went to buy some food and some snacks for you."
Pei Shuyu jumped up, took the snack bag, opened it, and said with satisfaction, "Yeah."
Ji Yan shook her head helplessly and went to the kitchen to sort the ingredients.
There was a little tail following behind him. Ji Yan turned his back to the little tail and said, "What are you doing here? Go out and wait for dinner."
Pei Shuyu raised her hand: "I can help."
Although she wasn't very proficient in cooking, she could still help with the basics. She rolled up her sleeves and said, "If you need anything washed, cut, or peeled, leave it to me."
Ji Yan handed her a few green peppers and a potato: "Wash the peppers and cut them into shreds. Peel the potatoes and cut them into shreds as well."
Pei Shuyu: "Okay, let me show you Chef Pei's cooking skills."
Ji Yan went to prepare the meat ingredients and cooked the rice at the same time.
When she turned around again, the shredded green peppers on the chopping board were still acceptable, but the shredded potatoes...
Ji Yan couldn't bear to dampen this person's enthusiasm, so she swallowed the words "Is this potato chips?"
Forget it, as long as it’s edible.
But looking at the potato sticks that were about to turn into sticks, Ji Yan chose to say it in a tactful way: "How about I do it, so as not to cut my hands."
Pei Shuyu said, "No, I have experience sharpening charcoal pencils." She said seriously, "Many people in the studio used pencil sharpeners at the time, but I always felt that pencils sharpened that way lacked soul."
She picked up a potato stick and compared it with the shredded potatoes she remembered eating: "Isn't it a little thick?"
Ji Yan hesitated to speak: "It's okay, it can be eaten even if it's stir-fried."
Pei Shuyu: "..."
She understood the hidden meaning: "Actually, I think it's cut too finely. It's not convenient to pick it up after frying."
Ji Yan cooperated: "Yes."
He was talking nonsense in a serious manner, and someone else continued. Pei Shuyu couldn't help laughing: "You are so good at comforting people."
Her hands kept moving: "Wait for me to process it a little bit, and it will be OK."
She was very enthusiastic, and Ji Yan wanted to pinch her cheek, but his hands were greasy from having just touched her flesh.
The range hood was on, the dishes were being stir-fried in the wok, and Ji Yan stood straight with her eyes downcast, concentrating on the task at hand. She was too eye-catching.
Pei Shuyu washed her hands, hugged Ji Yan from behind, and naturally rested her chin on the chin of the person in her arms, staring aimlessly at the fried meat.
The years were peaceful, and Pei Shuyu had a thought that it would be nice if time could just stay like this.
Ji Yan leaned back with her elbows: "Bring me a plate."
Pei Shuyu: "Okay."
Three dishes and one soup seemed too much for two people.
Pei Shuyu picked up a piece of food with chopsticks for Ji Yan and said, "Let's plan where to go this afternoon."
Ji Yan: "Okay."
They had suggested going out for a trip long before the college entrance exam, but they still haven't made a plan.
Most of the results from searches on major software are advertising, which is of little reference value.
"By the way," Pei Shuyu suddenly said, "My mother will be back this afternoon. I'll tell her then."
Ji Yan was about to send a message to Ruan Zhuangjing about this, but when she heard the voice, she deleted the words she had typed and tapped her phone: "Okay."
After lunch, Pei Shuyu took the initiative to wash the dishes, while Ji Yan held her phone and read messages.
Her brows were furrowed more and more. It was agreed that after she came of age, all the property left to her by her parents and grandmother should be transferred to her name, but because she was only focused on preparing for the college entrance examination at that time, she did not have time to deal with many things.
She communicated with the lawyer her grandmother had entrusted before she passed away.
Her uncle's family was undoubtedly the biggest obstacle, and dealing with them would require a lot of effort, so she was prepared for a long struggle.
Hearing footsteps behind him, Ji Yan's brows relaxed, and he turned his head, as if nothing had happened: "Are you done washing?"
Pei Shuyu's fingertips were dripping with water. She took out two tissues and wiped them as she walked. "I'm done. Master Ji, do you want to check it out?"
Ji Yan: "Since you said so, I would be letting down your hard work if I don't check it out."
She made a move to stand up.
Pei Shuyu laughed and fell on her, leaning on her shoulder like a boneless person: "My lord, please stay. I am willing to offer myself. I hope you will not go ahead."
Ji Yan raised an eyebrow: "How do you offer it?"
Pei Shuyu thought for a moment and kissed Ji Yan's cheek: "Is that so?"
Ji Yan: "That's fine."
Ruan Zhuangjing came back before dinner, when Pei Shuyu and Ji Yan had just finished taking a shower.
Pei Shuyu greeted her with her long, wet hair: "Mom."
Ji Yan held the hair dryer and said, "Godmother."
Ruan Zhuangjing was no longer as serious and dignified as she usually was outside. She understood what was going on after seeing the two of them. She nodded at Pei Shuyu, "You're bullying Ji Yan again. You asked someone to blow dry your hair."
Pei Shuyu said openly, "Yeah, I plan to let Ji Yan blow dry my hair for the rest of my life."
Ji Yan tightened her grip on the hair dryer and observed Ruan Zhuangjing's facial expression calmly.
The other party didn't change his mind after hearing this. He smiled and said, "If I brag about you for the rest of my life, Ji Yan would be too pitiful."
Pei Shuyu held Ji Yan's arm: "Ji Yan, are you willing?"
Ji Yan's throat was dry and she couldn't speak. She didn't know if saying this to Ruan Zhuangjing would make her suspicious.
She hasn't figured out a safe way to deal with it yet.
There’s still time to talk about it in the four years of college.
She tried her best to control herself, and her tone was the same as when Pei Shuyu used to act coquettishly in front of Ruan Zhuangjing: "I'm willing."
Pei Shuyu boasted: "Did you hear that? Ji Yan is willing!"
Ruan Zhuangjing smiled and glanced at the two of them: "Okay, okay."
Ji Yan felt a little paranoid. When Ruan Zhuangjing glanced at her, she had the illusion that she was seen through.
It was as if something hidden deep in my heart was seen through mercilessly.
She still seemed too immature in front of people so much older than her.
Ruan Zhuangjing returned to the study to organize her things.
Pei Shuyu noticed Ji Yan's absent-mindedness. She blew her hair half dry and turned her head away: "Okay."
Ji Yan: "It hasn't been blown dry yet."
Pei Shuyu: "It's okay, no need to blow dry too much." She turned around, facing Ji Yan, and asked softly, "What's wrong? It seems like you're worried about something."
Ji Yan smiled bitterly: "Is it so obvious?"
Then would Ruan Zhuangjing also notice it?
Pei Shuyu comforted her: "Are you still worried about my mother finding out about this? Don't worry, I'll take care of everything."
After dinner, Pei Shuyu followed Ruan Zhuangjing into the study.
Ruan Zhuang sat quietly at the desk. There was a huge bookshelf against the wall. She was buried in front of the computer, and the bright light shone on her well-maintained face.
Ruan Zhuangjing is always extremely indulgent towards her own daughter.
Of course, this is also related to Pei Shuyu's understanding.
Ruan Zhuangjing took time out of her busy schedule and asked, "Are you asking me for funding for your trip?"
During dinner, Pei Shuyu told Ruan Zhuangjing that she and Ji Yan were planning to go on a trip.
"No," Pei Shuyu leaned on the desk, holding up her chin in embarrassment, "Mom, I already have someone I like."
Ruan Zhuangjing was unmoved: "If you like her, go after her."
Pei Shuyu sighed: "That's the problem." She hesitated, "The person I like is a girl."
The sound of keyboard tapping stopped, and Ruan Zhuangjing looked at Pei Shuyu. The daughter who had been raised by her since childhood would also have the troubles of falling in love for the first time.
She is not pedantic, on the contrary, she is very open-minded.
Ruan Zhuangjing encouraged, "What's wrong with girls? If you like her, just pursue her." She paused, "Of course, Mom knows what you're worried about. You're worried that she won't be able to accept it, right?"
Seeing that Ruan Zhuangjing had no objection and was even very receptive, Pei Shuyu continued boldly: "Yes."
Ruan Zhuangjing said, "Most people really can't accept it right now." She was curious, "Mom, can I ask who the girl you like is?"
She had a vague guess.
Pei Shu said: "Ji Yan."
