Chapter 166: Watching the Surveillance Footage Makes Things Clearer
As morning light streamed into the room through the gaps in the curtains, Shi Jingsheng and Lin Yiluo were already awake. Their eyes were fixed on the closed door, revealing a reluctance to get up.
"Brother Jingsheng, let's not go out, it will definitely be very awkward."

"Don't worry, no one will think that way." Shi Jingsheng put down his phone, reached out and ruffled her hair, his tone confident.
“This is Ziyuan’s home, just like our own. Besides, in the Mo family’s old residence, as long as it doesn’t involve any interests, who would care about such trivial matters?”
He paused, then deliberately softened his tone to coax her.
"Don't worry, baby. If the sky falls, Ziyuan and I will hold it up. If all else fails, we can add your brother. Don't take this little thing to heart."

The two tiptoed to the corner of the stairs, a spot hidden in the shadows where no one could see them unless they were specifically looking.
They crouched down, holding their breath as they peered downstairs, their ears perked up. While secretly listening to the sounds, Shi Jingsheng also took out his phone and typed rapidly, "reporting" the situation downstairs to Mo Ziyuan in real time.
On the other side, Mo Ziyuan's phone kept vibrating. He looked at the messages popping up on the screen, rubbed his temples helplessly, and thought to himself that he should have finished dealing with the matter first before coming over.
