Chapter 205 is finished.
The Western restaurant was warm and cozy.
The waiter helped open the door, and a cool night breeze swept in, brushing against my slightly flushed cheeks.
Jiang Yingxu lowered his head and sent a message.
Seeing that the other person replied with an OK emoji, I put my phone back in my pocket.
When she turned her head, she saw that Shi Miao was still looking down at her hands.
Her slender white fingers opened and closed, like a kitten's paws in the midst of blooming flowers.
Rotating it clockwise and counterclockwise in every direction, the dim ambient lighting outside the restaurant casts a hazy glow on the gleaming ring on my finger.
The platinum band, warmed by the touch of your fingers, rests at the base of your fingers, giving a weighty, reassuring feeling.
Considering that they are still studying, Jiang Yingxu chose a very simple and low-key style.
The ring features a pair of pointed cat ears on the front.
It refracts light to create a dazzling display.
Shi Miao looked at the ring on her hand for a while, then couldn't help but reach out and grab Jiang Yingxu's hand.
The men's ring features matching inlaid cat ears, with several tiny cat paw prints extending outwards from both sides.
A scaled-down version of the paw prints of the long-haired calico.
It was as if she had secretly slipped away, leaving behind a unique mark.
Thinking back to what had just happened, when the ring box was taken out and she saw the pair of rings, Shi Miao blurted out, "Are you going to propose?"
The cat frowned, looking genuinely worried.
"But we're not old enough to get married yet."
The little cat demon who learned to be human halfway through her life had previously either stayed at home or been confined to school, so she only had a vague understanding of most of the rules of human society and was still stuck in the concept that you only have to wear a ring when you get married.
Jiang Yingxu shook his head: "They are couple rings."
He was unusually unusually calm, a hint of tension showing in his dark eyes, his thin lips slightly pursed, and he paused for a few seconds before speaking in a low voice.
"It's not very expensive now, but I'll give you something better later."
Jiang Yingxu always seemed to feel like he owed her something.
From the very beginning, he had tried his best to give Shi Miao the best of everything.
Shi Miao didn't say anything, but simply reached out her hand to him.
"I love these couple rings."
She pouted, her voice rising in a light, cheerful tone, "Then I'll have to ask my boyfriend to put it on for me."
The ring size is just right.
This Xiao Jiang must have secretly measured her finger circumference while the cat was asleep. She's really cunning and has been planning this for a long time.
He's already hopelessly infatuated with the Cat King!
It's only human nature!
Shi Miao picked up the men's ring while being smug and proud.
"I'll put it on you too."
It was just like in a TV drama, the newlyweds exchanging rings.
What should I do next?
Shi Miao held the men's ring tightly and carefully pushed it to the base of Jiang Yingxu's finger. Her eyelashes fluttered, and she turned her head to look around to see if anyone was nearby.
Great, the semi-enclosed partition creates just the right amount of privacy, and there are no waiters passing by right now.
So, Shi Miao stood up gracefully, leaned over, grabbed Jiang Yingxu by the collar, and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
After exchanging rings, it's time for the bride to kiss the groom!
"Beep beep—"
A car with its lights on was parked on the side of the street. Suddenly, it honked its horn and slowly drove out of the white-lined parking space.
Shi Miao snapped out of her daze, glanced at it, but didn't take it to heart. She was even a little itchy when she thought of that kiss.
Unfortunately, it's outside.
If they were at home, the audacious cat would definitely tease Jiang Yingxu, who sometimes gets incredibly aroused with passionate kisses and whose ears turn red with a simple, innocent kiss.
It's okay if you want to play with the cat toy later.
The cat is making significant progress.
Sooner or later, she'll hone her skills so that Xiao Jiang will beg her with suppressed groans.
Shi Miao kept a serious expression on her face and pinched Jiang Yingxu's fingers a couple more times, but he grabbed her hand and pressed her deliberately mischievous fingertips into his warm palm.
Jiang Yingxu's long eyelashes drooped, and his eyes looked at her with a moist gaze.
He whispered, "There's another gift. Come with me."
Shi Miao was stunned for a moment.
She was surprised to be led by Jiang Yingxu to the car that had pulled out of its parking space and was parked in front of them.
I looked ahead at the driver who was driving.
Shi Miao couldn't help but twitch her fingertips to scratch Jiang Yingxu's palm, and asked softly, "Why is there still some?"
Isn't it enough to give just one gift?
Unlike Xiao Jiang, who keeps giving gifts.
Jiang Yingxu, however, had his own set of ideas.
"The little fish bracelet is to celebrate the anniversary of our meeting."
"The cat felt is to let everyone who sees it know that I have a cat."
"These rings are just a transition, representing that we belong to each other."
He said.
“I still have a promise I haven’t kept.”
Is there?
Shi Miao blinked, looking completely bewildered.
Jiang Yingxu smiled and, mimicking her usual coquettish manner, slightly shook the hand she was holding. "You'll know when we get there."
The car drove outwards, towards the outskirts of Beijing.
Finally, it stopped in front of a private estate.
The manor features an antique design. Walking along the long corridor and around a few bends, you'll see a shimmering lake in front of you, reflecting the bright lights on the shore.
There was a small wooden boat in front of me, gently rocking with the waves.
Jiang Yingxu walked down first, then turned around and reached out his hand to Shi Miao.
"Come on, let me hold your hand."
The ship swayed and rocked under the force.
Shi Miao tentatively took a step down, but stopped in her tracks because of the wobbly feeling under her foot. She gripped Jiang Yingxu tightly with her fingers. "...Are you sure you can't flip over?"
Jiang Yingxu reassured him, "No, I've tried it."
Shi Miao: "If we fall, you'll have to take my back."
Jiang Yingxu let out a short laugh and assured him, "Yes, if the boat capsizes, I'll be there to cushion your fall and get you ashore."
After swaying for a while, it didn't seem so scary after all.
Shi Miao closed her eyes and fell directly towards Jiang Yingxu.
She is never afraid of failing or falling.
Because she knew that Jiang Yingxu would always catch her safely.
Just like now.
I fell into a warm and comforting embrace.
The small boat has an antique-style exterior, but is electrically powered inside, moving at a moderate speed towards the depths of the lake.
After getting over her initial nervousness, Shi Miao quickly became bolder, grabbing Jiang Yingxu's arm and peering around curiously.
"What kind of gift is it that needs to be retrieved from the lake?"
Jiang Yingxu watched her head turn back and forth, then raised his hand and did something he had wanted to do while they were in the restaurant.
He pinched her soft cheek and rubbed it between his fingers.
Under the cat's dismissive baring of its teeth as a threat.
Jiang Yingxu curled his lips into a smile. "Take a guess?"
Shi Miao frowned and pondered.
His gaze swept across the rippling lake, and the waves seemed to remind him of something. He clapped his hands.
"I see!"
She looked at Jiang Yingxu with great excitement, her tone resolute.
"Did you catch those fat ducks?"
Jiang Yingxu: "?"
Shi Miao: "No, those are protected animals. It's illegal to catch them!"
Jiang Yingxu: "..."
Sometimes I really want to know what kind of adorable thoughts are going through this cat's little head.
He chuckled softly, then simply grabbed Shi Miao's hand and gestured for her to move forward.
"Look over there."
Shi Miao followed her gaze.
There was only a dark blue sky.
The next second, a somewhat familiar sound suddenly rang in my ears.
call out--
A tiny rainbow streaked across the sky, then suddenly exploded into a dazzling display of light beneath the heavens.
The performance, which suddenly began with this firework, was followed by a series of fireworks that rose into the sky and exploded one after another.
The glittering lights overlapped and scattered like a cascading Milky Way.
Shi Miao looked up in a daze at the magnificent fireworks display and finally remembered what Jiang Yingxu's promise was.
That Spring Festival, they were still in their Tsinghua University dormitory.
Jiang Yingxu held her in his arms and stood by the window, watching the fireworks display that others were setting off.
Then he bent down and kissed her cat's head, saying, "I'll take you to see bigger and prettier cats in the future."
He will do what he says.
Shi Miao watched for a while, then couldn't help but tilt her head and look at her side.
Unexpectedly, I met those deep, calm, dark eyes.
Jiang Yingxu didn't watch the fireworks; he just quietly and attentively gazed at her.
The twinkling lights fell into his eyes, rippling out tender waves, flowing with the gentlest love.
Past experiences are marks etched on the soul.
Even with the influence of the Cat King, Jiang Yingxu was still not very good at expressing his love.
Actions, gifts, or even a casual glance over.
Yet it depicts the most straightforward and passionate love.
Shi Miao felt a soft, sweet sensation in her heart, opened her arms, and bumped into his embrace.
She then leaned against his chest and tilted her head back to kiss his lips.
“Jiang Yingxu…”
It doesn't really mean anything; I just want to keep saying this name.
Under a sky full of starry fireworks.
Jiang Yingxu gripped her shoulders tightly, his thin lips pressed down, silencing his low, husky voice between his teeth.
"I love you."
"Shi Miao, I will be the one who loves you the most."
Their lips and tongues intertwined tenderly.
Their fingers were close together and intertwined.
Even though the sound of the fireworks exploding was so loud, it was as if I could still catch another crisp sound in my ears.
bite--
It was a light tap between the platinum rings on the fingertips.
It was like a perfect echo coming from the depths of fate.
Tell him.
Jiang Yingxu, you are no longer alone.
The King of Cats is here to love you.

End of main text.
Thank you to all the wives for your companionship, for spending so much time with Xiao Jiang and Maomao!
I will kiss every single one of my followers' faces hard, kiss kiss kiss!
Additional content being processed.
Based on the suggestions from my wives and my own favorite plot ideas, there should be some storyline after Xiao Jiang and Maomao graduate.
Then there are a few IF lines, the specifics will depend on my feel for them, tentatively:
1. Xiao Jiang, who discovered her identity as a child and returned to the Yan family where there were no annoying old people, and Maomao, the most beloved daughter of the neighboring cat demon family, are childhood sweethearts!
2. The rich young lady Miaomiao found a stray dog named Xiao Jiang. Is Xiao Jiang a Maine Coon or a German Shepherd? Please vote.
3. There's a time warp where different versions of Xiao Jiang from different eras appear in this imagined scenario, but I'm not sure if I'll actually write it (it'll probably be something like other Xiao Jiangs looking at their homes and wives, gritting their teeth and thinking how they're living such a good life). (I might not write it, so I'll leave it for now).
That's about it!
Finally, thank you to all the ladies who read this far! (bows) (holds a rose) (makes a heart shape with his hands)
