Pure white clouds dotted the horizon, and occasionally a bird would fly overhead, leaving behind a few chirps. Horse hooves gently trod on the soft grass, startling insects and causing them to jump to the side, shaking the blades.
"Shuang'er," Song Heng suddenly said, "I just played a game of chess with Concubine De last night."
I was stunned for a moment, then whispered, "Yes, Concubine De told me."
"That's it," he responded in a low voice, and then laughed softly: "I thought Shuang'er was jealous today."
I felt like I was seen through, but on the surface I pretended to be quite imposing and snorted, without making any comment.
Silence fell between the two of them again, and only the rustling sound of grass leaves could be heard.
I was held in Song Heng's arms, and I couldn't help but lower my voice: "Your Majesty, are you thinking about something?"
"Hmm?" Song Heng responded quickly, then said frankly, "Yes."

Immediately, I tilted my head slightly and leaned towards his chest: "Yeah."
I was worried, but I trusted him.
"Do you need Shuang'er?" If possible, I really want to do something to help him.
He was silent for a moment, then said seriously, "Need it."
I was a little excited. It felt so good to be able to help. I couldn't help shaking my body: "What should I do?"
He tightened his arms around her: "Be careful not to fall."
I giggled, "You've got me wrapped around you, haha! Tell me, what do you need me to do?"
I then deliberately thickened my voice: "I will devote myself to this cause, and only after my death will I—"
He covered my mouth again and said, "I don't want you to die."
Isn't this the point?!
Then he slowly loosened his grip, and I heard a hint of hesitation in his voice that I had never heard before: "You might be wronged."
"Um?"
"I want you to be my one and only beloved concubine."
