Suddenly, a familiar voice came from the palace gate: "Bai Zhiji."
We all looked over when we heard the sound - and when I saw Ah Fu, I felt completely better.
"Eunuch Afu." Bai stepped forward and saluted.
"This is the distinguished guest invited by His Majesty," Ah Fu glanced at me and held out a token to Bai Zhiji. "I'm here on His Majesty's orders to lead the way."
Bai Zhiji reacted very quickly: "Yes." Then he waved to the soldiers.
The soldiers surrounding me dispersed quickly like waves. I quickly dismounted, put on my veil, and followed Ah Fu silently. Ah Fu bowed and said, "Please, Your Majesty, I have been waiting for you."
It really gave me enough face...
Then he said to Bai Zhiji, "Please send someone to take the horses back to the archery pavilion. As for this distinguished guest, the matter is of great importance."
Bai Zhiji bowed and saluted: "I understand." Then he glanced back at the guards and a uniform voice rang out: "I understand."

Eunuch Ah Fu led me and said to me, "Follow me this way."
Then I realized that he was not leading me to Chenxiang Pavilion or Chengqing Palace, but was taking me directly up the stone stairs to the city wall.

After walking up the stairs to the top floor, I could see a tall figure standing by the city wall through the hazy veil.

Ah Fu looked up at the motionless Song Heng and said, "Yes."
He immediately said to me, "Mu Zhaoyi, I will send someone to take you back right away."
I bit my lip, feeling guilty for not being punctual. But since he had spoken, I couldn't bother him any further. I would have to find another time to explain.
I followed Grandpa Ah Fu and walked slowly towards the stairs. But just as I was about to go down the stairs, two arms suddenly wrapped around my waist tightly. I was suddenly pulled into a warm embrace. The veil on my head fell to the ground in front of me with a "pop" sound due to the collision.
It’s Song Heng.

Ah Fu glanced back and continued walking down the stairs until he disappeared into the night. I stood there in a daze, at a loss as to what to do.

He showed no intention of moving, so I stood in his arms and told him as clearly as possible about the family that fell ill and how I helped him find a doctor, and then the incident where the carriage wheel got stuck in the pit. Of course, I had to keep the deposit certificate given to Cheng Yao secret.
His chin was resting on my head, and he didn't make any sound as I spoke, but the ups and downs of his breathing touched every nerve in my body.

Ah Fu was standing at the bottom of the stone stairs. He looked up and waved to a place when he saw us coming. Then a group of servants came out from the darkness. The servant in front was holding a bright lamp and waiting for us to go down.
I hurriedly shook the veil and was about to put it on my head, but Song Heng raised his hand and grabbed the veil in mid-air, saying with a smile: "What's wrong?"
This was also a subconscious action of mine. I violated the rules when leaving the palace, and wanted to cover my face when I met the palace servants.

By the time I realized what was happening, Song Heng had already taken the veil from my hand and handed it to Ah Fu: "You are with me."

After Song Heng sat down, he said to me who was standing beside him, "Come here."
