Chapter 95 Encounter

My eyes lit up. There was something so interesting. He turned to the servant beside him and ordered, "Bring up some bait."

The servant responded respectfully, and I was about to rub my hands excitedly when I saw two plates of bait that looked like broken steamed buns were brought to the stone table.

"How do I feed this?" I looked curiously and excitedly at the servant who brought the bait. The servant lowered his brow and said, "Just scatter the bait on the lake."

I looked at the water birds playing in the distance, and then at the nearby lake - at such a long distance, they might not even look at me even if I emptied both plates of bait.

Song Heng sat on the round stool as if on purpose, saying nothing, just supporting his chin with one hand and looking at me.

I looked down at the bait in front of me and asked again, "Just catch it with your hands, right?"

The servant nodded.

The bait felt like steamed buns, soft and fluffy. I grabbed a handful and headed towards the railing. The servant had just told me to just scatter it on the lake, so I didn't think much of it and decided to give it a try.

"Just watch you play," he said, pushing the plate of bait closer to me. "You can just bring one directly."

I nodded happily and ran to the railing with a plate of bait. I saw water birds walking on the water, their pure snow-white wings spread in the air, and their slender orange claws splashed a line of water.

Several of them had already reached the lake in front of the railing and began to pick up the bait with their long beaks, making joyful "mu-mu-" sounds. As I was watching more water birds happily approaching in the distance, suddenly a snow-white shadow jumped out in front of me -

I subconsciously stepped back and screamed, and then I heard a loud and clear voice of "Protect the emperor" -

I quickly looked towards Song Heng and saw a snow-white water bird standing on Song Heng's right arm with its wings folded obediently. The servants surrounding it were staring nervously at the uninvited guest in front of them.

Song Heng stretched out his left hand and waved to them: "It's okay, everyone, leave."
